Since the deal hadn‘t been sealed yet, Gloria would not reveal much. She just needed to make sure the
proposal is not plagiarized or disclosed.
It would be fine as long as the proposal stayed confidential and expandable.
Next, she was going to meet that stalker.
On the way out, she gave Irene a call.
“Norma, remember to call me?”
Gloria felt guilty and apologized, “Sorry, I‘ve been busy lately.”
“Just kidding. What‘s the deal?”
“How is your investigation going?”
“Alas, that woman is foxy, and I haven‘t found anything useful. The culprit disowned his father, and the
latter stopped working at the White‘s house a long time ago. These things are interconnected, but the
evidence is difficult to collect.”
Irene exclaimed halfway through her speech, “I‘m thinking about something.”
“What is it?”
While holding the phone, Gloria went outside, got into her car, and started the engine.
Irene‘s tentative voice came. “How about we call the police? It‘s easier for them to investigate it.”
“That will alert my enemy. There are still a lot of things about Angela I need to investigate. If we call the
police, she will obliterate all the traces.”
“I see.”
Irene‘s brows were knitted together, and she sighed. “Don‘t worry. I‘ll have my men continue tracking.
Maybe we‘ll find out anything. Just give it more time.”
“Okay, there‘s no rush.”
There were no immediate results for many things.
At the Collins Building, the meeting was dismissed two hours later.
Jordy came out with a gloomy face.
Harold followed in light footsteps because his boss was moody today.
He was unsure what his boss needed him to do. Jordy just asked Harold to follow him into the office.
Standing in front of the desk, Harold asked, “Mr. Collins, are there any other instructions?”
He had reported the itinerary to Jordy, so this should be about something else.
“How is your investigation about her?”
Harold was baffled.He had no idea whom Jordy referred to.
In his view, Jordy was still bearing Gloria in his heart. He just hadn‘t realized it or would not admit it. In
front of the outsiders, Jordy was indifferent to everything about Gloria. Whenever Gloria was
mentioned, he would be apathetic or even annoyed.
Jordy was like that by nature, other than that, Harold would have a reason to believe that he was
asking about Gloria.
And now? He didn‘t have the slightest clue.
Jordy had instructed him to keep an eye on two matters lately.
One was the partnership between Gloria and Jonathan.
The other was Angela‘s recent activities. He had been asked to figure out if Gloria‘s fall into the water
had anything to do with Angela.
So... Which one is Jordy asking about?
Harold cleared his throat, looked at his boss, and ventured to ask, “Mr. Collins, you mean… Angela?”
Jordy refused to even take a look at Gloria today.Presumably, he was not in the mood to talk about her.
