Angela was biting into her lip, and her face turned even paler under the makeup! She never dreamed
that Jordy would say something like that.The news that Angela was going to get engaged to Jordy
traveled around the country.
Those who congratulated her and tried to flatter her were beyond count.But now she heard Jordy say
that he would not get engaged to her.
That would only make her the laughingstock of the whole world like Gloria.
What the hell is Jordy doing? Angela was itching to open the door and ask him, but…she had no
courage to do so.She was blocked by the door.She was afraid to hear Jordy say, “Perfect timing.You
spare me an unnecessary trip to inform you."
Angela clutched her bag and gnashed her teeth, waiting for Jordy to respond toNewell's question.Is he

Jordy frowned slightly, turned to her, and said nothing.

Angela felt awkward, wondering whether she should go or stay.
Newell gave her a gentle smile.
"Are you here to see Gloria?"
Angela unconsciously nodded, put on a worried face, and said anxiously, “Yes, I came a heard about
Gloria’s accident.Is she okay...?"
With that, Angela walked quickly to Gloria's bed.She looked down at Gloria's pale little face with plain

“She has never suffered anything like this…she has been coddled and cosseted, and her family has
kept her well protected.But unexpectedly..." Angela pretended to be too sad to speak.
The implication was that Gloria acted like a princess and was a failure at everything…
Jordy’s eyes flickered.He looked at Gloria with poorly hidden complex feelings in his eyes.
Angela said Gloria was coddled and cosseted, but during the three years of marriage, she cooked for
Jordy almost every day and waited for him to come home, but he never returned.
When Jordy heard that from the servants' mouths, he just considered her ridiculous.
