No Response
“Come out! George roared angrily.
“Why should I take orders from you? I’m not going out!”
George’s face clouded over with anger. He was trying so hard to contain himself. “If you don’t come
out, I’ll break down this door! You may not be able to sleep tonight!”
Nydia was speechless.
What’s wrong with him?
Nydia now dared not play hardball with him!
She felt extremely insecure staying in the same suite with him. And she was afraid that he would break
down her door. After all, he was rich and powerful!
He could really break down the door if he wanted! It was a cinch for him.
Darn it!
It pisses me off.
Bastard!
Nydia gritted her teeth. She could only swallow her anger and go out, for she could not afford to offend
him.
After she got back home, she would not have any more contact with him!
“What do you want?”
“Don’t you know I haven’t eaten yet?” George grew black as a thundercloud. He looked as if he were
trying to control his anger.
George’s question stunned Nydia.
“Go get something to eat then. What does it matter to me?”
Nydia remembered the other day she had a fight with him. He was unpredictable. She did not know
what made him angry.
“Oh damn! I was waiting on you for dinner!”
George and Nydia had quarreled twice, but she still didn’t know what it was about! George was going
nuts! This time, he chose to speak his mind out because he could not hold it back anymore.
Nydia was amazed to hear that. “You were waiting on me for dinner? But I’ve been cooking Gloria’s
meals these days. I had dinner with her.”
“You…” George looked sullener than ever. Anger simmered inside him.
Nydia, however, gave him a weird look and said, “If you are hungry, go for food. I don’t need you to wait
for me.”
Nydia still believed that George was lying, but since he said so, she had no reason to pick a quarrel
with him. She went on lightly. “Go grab a bite. I’m tired. I’m gonna take a bath and go to bed.”
Nydia did not take another look at George, nor did she wait for his reply. She went straight into her
room and closed the door.
Before she left, she softened her tone a little though.
But that didn’t make George feel any better!
George still thought that Nydia had no heart!
Are women ruthless and self–interested?
George got up irritably and went back to his room. He wasn’t in the right mood to have dinner alone.
Nydia returned to her room and was still a little confused about what George had just done.
Was he really waiting on me for dinner?
But the next moment, Nydia sneered. I’m not surprised. After all, he’s always trying to please me and
asking for my mom’s stuff. Dream on! Bastard! I’ll never give it to him!
They were tossing and turning all night. The next morning, Jordy got up and prepared to go out. At this
moment, he recalled what had happened yesterday. Then he walked to the door of Gloria’s room and
asked, “Are you up?”
There was not a sound inside.
Jordy’s brow furrowed. Gloria has a good sleep routine. She woke up early yesterday even though the
wound hurt more.
Could it be that she was in a bad mood yesterday and stayed up all night? That’s why she’s still in bed?
But isn’t she a light sleeper? She just doesn’t want to talk to me, does she?
Jordy’s face sank when he thought about this. The next moment, he wrenched the door open without
another word.
