Was She Like This Before?
"Gloria, my uncle is here to see you. We’re coming in.” Jordy scowled, and Gloria glanced at him and
shouted at the door, "Come on in."
The door was opened.
Nydia had a smile on her lips, but when she saw Jordy sitting there, she looked shocked.
Why is he here again? What's his problem? I was just out for a while, and then he showed up here.
Did he time his arrival during my short absence? If Jennifer heard what Nydia was saying in her head,
she would definitely retort like this.
“Does Mr.Collins need to avoid you? Can't he just get rid of you?” Ted had a fruit basket in his hand
and a smile on his lips.
The moment he saw Jordy, his smile froze.
The next moment, the smile returned.
“Mr.Collins is here.What a coincidence!" Ted spoke with ease, without the slightest bit of
embarrassment.
Jordy glanced at Ted with an eyebrow raised.
“I didn’t expect to see Mr.Maguire here."
Jordy knew how amazing Ted was, and so did a lot of people.
Jordy even tried to steal him away, but he gave up for the sake of his relationship with Gloria’s father.
Ted smiled, and without looking at Jordy, he placed the fruit basket on the nightstand.
When Gloria was trying to sit up, he stopped her by saying, “Don’t, don’t move.You have a broken rib."
Gloria smiled, "Not a big deal.I’ll be fine soon.The doctor has bandaged my ribs, and I need regular
exercises in the following days.” Gloria moved flexibly and sat up, not like an injured person.
Nydia had been taking care of Gloria for the past two days.
Knowing how well Gloria recovered, Nydia didn't look very worried.
Jordy stared at Gloria.It turned out she was not a grumpy person.
It was just that she vented her anger on some annoying people.
And Jordy was one of them.His eyes twinkled with sarcastic laughter.
Ted sighed, “I can’t believe this happened to you.How are you feeling right now?"
"Fine, I feel nearly back to normal.Please have a seat." Ted smiled, nodded, and sat down on the
empty side of Gloria’s bed, across from Jordy.
Ted looked at Gloria lovingly.
“Take good care of yourself.Don’t worry about the company.Anyway, now you should put yourself first."
Ted was sitting across from Jordy.
There was no need to hide any company news from Jordy.
After all, it was known that the executives ganged up in the White Group.
Everyone knew Ted sided with Gloria's father, one of his old friends.
Gloria’s father was gone, so Ted supported Gloria.
Jordy remained seated silently and had no intention of leaving, as if listening to them.
Nydia gave Jordy a suspicious look.
Why doesn't he leave? Does he have a lot of free time? Gloria nodded at Ted.
“Okay, Mr.Maguire, you don’t have to worry about me.I’ll take care of myself.” Ted nodded.
“Well, I feel relieved to hear you say that.I'll always be there for you." Gloria felt warm, and her eyes
shone with tears.
Jordy saw this and froze.
