Chapter 852 We Won't Run Away

After Olivia left the room, Booth was still hesitating.

Actually, Olivia was no fool. She knew he only wanted her to leave the house, but she didn't want to

upset him.

She heard him groping for his phone. She sighed and left, holding his SIM card.

Booth finally plucked his courage and wanted to call Nicole, only to realize his SIM card was missing.

He was stupefied. He had no idea when Olivia took it. He looked at the useless phone and gave a bitter

smile.

What was a phone without a SIM card?

She warned him not to order takeout because it might cause trouble. Therefore, she always went out to

buy their food. And that was why she had lost a lot of weight in such a short time.

He knew he was holding Olivia down, but he couldn't even die. If he did, perhaps she would lose her

will to live, too.

He was breathing for Olivia.

He lay down with a sigh and punched his legs, but couldn't feel them.

Brian!

This name was seared into his brain. One day, he would make him pay!

After Olivia left the house, she saw the Don's and the Green's men were searching the streets. She

knew they were looking for her.

She felt they couldn't stay in the Seapolis City any longer. She and Booth needed to leave as soon as

possible, not only for Nicole, but also for Booth. No matter what, she absolutely couldn't let anything

happen to her brother.

Olivia avoided everyone and saw a military vehicle heading in the direction of the Green's.

She vaguely saw Lucas and Joseph.

Her eyes misted over.

Perhaps she would never see these children again.

Olivia left quickly before sorrow crept up on her.

Lucas was on his phone. Suddenly, he looked up and out of the window.

That startled Zoe.

"Lucas, what are you doing? What are you looking at?"

As she spoke, she also looked outside.

Lucas frowned. He was beginning to have Samuel's vibe.

"Just now, I felt someone was staring at us."

"How could that be? We're in a military car. Who dared to look at us?"

Zoe was much stronger after spending some time in the military.

Lucas did not say anything else and lowered his head to play the game again, but he had a feeling

something big was going to happen.

Joseph looked at him and asked,

"Was it an illusion?"

"Maybe. I have been exhausted these days. I'll take a shower and have a good sleep when we get

home."

Joseph nodded but looked out curiously. There was no one, though.

When they entered the Green's mansion, Samuel and Nicole were waiting there.

Nicole was pregnant, so Samuel didn't want her to come out of the house. However, under her

insistence, he could only agree. He held the umbrella for her carefully along the way.

When Mark saw them, he smiled, "Why did you come out to greet us? I thought you would pick them

up. But in the end, I had to drive them here myself. Who is the big boss here!"

Samuel said calmly, "Something happened."

"What's more important than your children? By the way, I saw our men and your men searching the

streets. What happened?"

"Nothing. They were looking for someone."

Samuel opened the car door.

Zoe jumped out of the car first.

"Daddy, I miss you so much."

She hopped onto him and wrapped her arms around Samuel's neck, kissing him on the cheeks.

Samuel smiled when he heard his daughter's cute little voice.

"Daddy missed you too. Let's go inside. The rain is so annoying."

Samuel put Zoe down.

Zoe came to Nicole and took a careful look at her belly. "Mommy, why isn't your belly bigger? Isn't my

little sister growing?" she asked.

Even though Nicole was in a bad mood, it cheered her up to see her children.

"It takes time. Come, take Mommy's hand. Let's go home."

"We need to wait for my brothers."

Zoe stood still beside Nicole.

When Lucas and Joseph got out of the car, Joseph looked at Nicole and Samuel excitedly, smiling,

"Daddy, Mommy, we're back."

"Sweet boy!"

Nicole gestured for him to come over.

Lucas got out of the car with style and was still playing the game, which upset Samuel a little.

"Won't you greet us?"

"Samuel, I'm back."

At that, he brushed past Samuel to Nicole's side. He only put away his phone when he saw Nicole

beam at him.

"Mommy, I'm back."

Nicole noticed her three children were a little tan, but they seemed to be healthier. She smiled, "Chop,

chop. Let's go inside the house. Because something happened at the last minute, your father and I

didn't make dinner. You guys take a shower and wait for a while. Mommy will cook all of us some

yummy food."

"You step down. I'll do it."

Mark volunteered.

Samuel shot him a glance and whispered, "Don't you want to go back and see what happened?"

"No. Jason is home. I'm sure it's fine. Even if something really happens, he will handle it. I think dinner

is more important."

Mark followed the children into the house.

Nicole was a bit tired after her little adventure. But she was thrilled to see her children, so she didn't

want to rest upstairs.

Lucas was the first to notice Nicole was tired. He found a pillow and put it behind her back, whispering,

"Mommy, if you're exhausted, take a rest. We'll come to you after a shower. Don't worry. We won't run

away."

"Brat, where do you want to run?"

Nicole brushed Lucas' nose with her curled index finger. Only then did she realize her son was taller.

"It's almost New Year. What kind of gift do you want?"

Nicole smoothed the hair on Lucas' forehead.

Although Lucas was a little shy, he did not stop her. Nicole was the only one who could touch his hair.

"I want some black books."

Nicole was puzzled.

"What are black books?"

"The ones that the Hacker Union writes. You can't buy them. I'll have a way to get them. Mommy, don't

worry about it. You should ask Zoe and Joseph what they need."

Lucas stopped talking.

Nicole knew Lucas was great at computers. But what the hell is Hacker Union?

Samuel happened to walk over and heard Lucas' words. He quickly explained, "Hacker Union is a

private organization of the world's leading hackers. Those people are good, but they ask a lot of money.

It's kind of a grey zone."

Nicole grew a little worried.

"You want to take your son into a grey zone?"

"It's not illegal."

Samuel wasn't worried. Hacker Union didn't care about certificates. As long as you had skills, they

would take you in. Lucas was talented, so he could get in if he wanted.

Nicole wanted to say something, but Zoe said, "Mommy, Lucas is incredible. He helped Grandpa Mark

solve a case in the military. He hacked something to do it. Anyway, everyone looks up to him. He has a

huge fan base."

Samuel and Nicole were surprised.

Lucas helped Mark solve a case?

Mark smiled, "That's right. It was the Laurel case. We caught Laurel quickly because Lucas helped us

find whom she had been talking to. I'm telling you. This brat is great at what he does. Are you going to

waste his genius?"

"What do you mean?"

Samuel sat on the sofa and looked at Mark with a leisurely expression.

Mark rubbed his nose, but before he could say anything, Zoe spoke,

"Mommy, Daddy, you know what? Not only is Lucas outstanding, but Joseph is even more so. He

saved quite a lot of soldiers in the war zone. Everyone called him the 'Miracle Doctor'."

"What?"

Nicole was shocked.

So was Samuel, and he looked at Joseph in disbelief.

Joseph scratched his head shyly and explained, "It's just some stuff Master has taught me."

"Morgan?"

"Yes."

Joseph nodded.

However, Nicole was confused.

"When did Morgan teach you that?"

"Every night at seven o'clock, Master will teach me online. Furthermore, I have memorized all the

acupoints and veins of a human body. Master has also taught me acupuncture. I am still trying to figure

that out, though."

Joseph explained, but it shocked Samuel and Nicole even more.

They couldn't find Morgan after searching for so long. They hadn't expected Morgan had been teaching

Joseph medicine every night. What a surprise!

"What's wrong? Daddy, Mommy, is there a problem?"

Joseph was bewildered. What had he said?

Nicole and Samuel quickly shook their heads and said, "It's nothing. Is Morgan still giving you

lessons?"

"Yes, Master said I should take the exams on medicine after the New Year."

Joseph's words were like a bomb, throwing everyone in the house in shock.

Mark smiled, "You two amazing sons are favored by the Chief Commander. I am here to ask you if you

want them to stay in the military. If you agree, we will do our best to train them. And they will go to

school there. I am sure you know how their future looks like."

Nicole didn't quite understand and quickly looked at Samuel.

Samuel explained, "They will stay in the military. They can work for them as scientists or sign a contract

and serve. When the contract expires, they will retire like me."

Nicole frowned hard.

She was reluctant to leave her children, but this was about their future. She knew better than anyone

what Lucas' dream was.

"Let's put this on hold. I have no objections. Let's see what the children want. I respect their decisions."

When Nicole said that, her eyes turned a little red.

Samuel knew she didn't want them to leave, so he patted her shoulder gently and wanted to comfort

her, but her phone suddenly rang.

The pair froze before she picked up the phone. The strange number quickened her

breathing.
