Safes were usually used to keep very valuable things.
It was either money or critical documents or evidences.
Fill's eyes gleamed.
"Find someone to pry open the safe. I have to know what's inside."
Following Fill's order, one of his men walked over and got down to it.
It took about half an hour to open the safe, and the gold bars inside almost shocked everyone.
"Holy shit, Kody is quite rich. He has saved up so many gold bars. They worth a lot. He's smart to
exchange money for gold."
Fill's man's words made him frown slightly.
There were about a dozen golden bricks in front of him, neatly placed together.
Nowadays, very few people exchanged money for gold bars and kept them at home. He didn't expect
Kody to do such things.
There were only two reasons for him to do so.
One, this person especially liked gold bars.
Second, it was not convenient for him to deposit money.
In the current information age, Kody could carry money simply with an ID card and a mobile phone.
Why would he change money into gold bars and put them at home?
Now the gold bars were still there, but he had run away. Kody must have left in a hurry.
Fill gently supported his chin with his fingers as he contemplated.
Why?
Suddenly, something popped into his head.
Fill looked up and said to his men, "Go check Kody's ID card and personal information. Search the
people in the Seapolis City more than 20 years ago."
His men were slightly confused.
"Fill, do you suspect Kody is an alias?"
"If it's his real name, how could he have no ID card and no account? He would easily get away with
money rather than gold bars. Why does he put them at home? So, I think he has no ID card and no
account. Go investigate who died in the Seapolis City more than 20 years ago and carefully search
here. Take back the cups, toothpaste, and toothbrushes for testing. Try to take the DNA and send it to
the database to confirm his identity."
Once Fill found the key point, he acted very quickly.
Everyone followed Fill's instructions.
Tim was also destined to be sleepless all night because of his physical condition.
The only person who wasn't affected was Nicole.
Nicole excitedly chatted with them for a while, but Samuel grabbed her phone and took it away in her
reluctance.
"I haven't said goodbye to them yet."
Nicole was a little depressed.
Samuel said uncompromisingly, "It's very late. Hurry up and go to bed. Tomorrow we'll take photos at
the Nine Dragons Pool, and then we'll go to other places."
Nicole knew that if they started photo-shooting travel tomorrow, they would be very tired. So she
stopped arguing.
"Have you found the photo studio so quickly?"
Samuel shook his head and said, "Why do we need a photo studio? I have a photography team. I just
need to call and ask them to go with us tomorrow. In this way, we won't be embarrassed."
"That's not bad."
Nicole liked this idea very much.
Samuel leaned over and said with a mischievous smile, "Is there any reward for me?"
"Samuel, we agreed to have a rest tonight."
Nicole was puzzled.
Wasn't Samuel tired?
Seeing that Nicole was so nervous, Samuel laughed.
"I just want a kiss. Honey, what's on your mind?"
Nicole's face turned red in the blink of an eye.
What an annoying man!
He must do it on purpose!
Nicole pouted her lips in a cute way. Samuel tried to kiss her but was immediately pushed away.
"I'm going to sleep. Don't disturb me."
Samuel pretended to be angry.
"Alright."
Samuel smiled and nodded.
Nicole turned over in a sulk. But the bedroom was so warm, and she began to feel sleepy. In the end,
she fell asleep.
In her dream, Samuel held her hand and they wandered through the starry sky with nine dragons
pulling the carriage. It was very spectacular.
Nicole laughed in her dream.
This was the first time Samuel had seen Nicole so happy. Even if she fell asleep, she was still
overjoyed.
He had always wanted Nicole to be happy like this.
He slightly smiled and put his arms around Nicole. Then he fell asleep with the scent of her body.
When Nicole woke up the next morning, Samuel was not by her side.
The warm slate bed really made Nicole unwilling to get up.
She struggled for a while. Then she heard Zoe's crisp laughter from outside. She got up, put on her
clothes, opened the door and walked out.
To her surprise, there was a new swing here.
Zoe sat on the swing while Samuel slowly pushed the swing behind her. The crisp laugh filled the
place, cheering Nicole up. Nicole couldn't help but wear a smile.
"Good morning, Mommy."
Zoe became more and more natural and graceful.
She waved at Nicole.
"Good morning."
Nicole replied with a smile and suddenly met Samuel's gentle eyes.
"Good morning, my dear."
"Good morning, honey."
Nicole's voice was so sweet that Samuel wanted to hear more.
Zoe sensed the affection between her parents. She shook her head and said, "I'm going to see if my
brothers have returned from swimming."
With that, she jumped off the swing and ran out.
The little girl who used to follow Samuel had finally grown up, and she knew that she should leave
room for her parents to say something sweet.
Life was so hard for her!
Zoe pursed her lips and ran out.
Nicole blushed.
"I'll go with Zoe."
As she spoke, Nicole was about to walk out, but she was stopped by Samuel with a hug.
"Why are you avoiding me? I won't eat you."
Nicole's face totally turned red.
"You seem to have tasted me more than a few times."
She muttered, but Samuel still heard it.
Samuel smiled happily.
"You are so delicious. I can't get tired of tasting you."
"Samuel!"
Nicole felt bad that she was teased by him early in the morning.
Suddenly, a cracking sound caught her by surprise. She looked up and found the photographers had
entered their house. They just happened to capture the scene of Nicole blushing and glaring at
Samuel.
"Why didn't you tell me in advance? I'm sure I didn't look good just now. We should delete it and retake
the photos."
Nicole wanted to go up and delete the photos, but Samuel said, "The most important thing is to take
some natural photos. As long as we reveal the true feelings, never mind if we look not good enough.
Aren't they all our memories?"
Nicole felt that Samuel's words made sense.
"Alright, I'll listen to you."
"Good girl, you deserve a reward."
Samuel looked at Nicole tenderly, lowered his head and gave her a romantic kiss.
The photographer quickly pressed the shutter.
The two of them were deeply in love, and the strong affection between them got the photographer
excited. The photographer kept taking photos of them.
Seeing Samuel's action, Nicole wasn't embarrassed or uncomfortable anymore. The two of them
walked out hand in hand.
After passing through the waterfall, Nicole took a few more photos and recorded a video here. She had
planned to share them on Twitter but gave up on second thought.
After playing at the waterfall for a while, Nicole asked the children to go back and change into dry
clothes before eating breakfast with Samuel.
Samuel told them their goal today was to climb to the top of the mountain.
Zoe looked at the mountain almost high up to the sky, letting out a desperate cry.
Lucas and Joseph were Okay with that. They held Zoe's hands and went up.
Nicole wore a pair of flat shoes today. She looked at the mountaintop and asked, "Are you planning to
take photos on the mountain top?"
"Do you like it?"
Samuel asked Nicole in return. Nicole nodded her head.
"Of course."
"Then let's go."
The family of five began to march towards the top of the mountain.
Halfway up the mountain, Zoe was too tired to go on. Lucas couldn't help but ridicule her.
"You are not good at anything but eating. I am really worried that you will be left on the shelf in the
future."
"I don't want to get married anyway. I'm going to stay at home and let you take care of me. I'm going to
be your burden. Wait and see!"
Lucas found Zoe's words both funny and annoying.
It really was Zoe's style.
"Come on, I'll carry you."
Lucas sighed. Seeing Zoe panting, he recalled the days when Zoe spent in the hospital relying on the
oxygen bottle after she was born.
His heart tightened and he crouched down in front of Zoe.
Zoe was happy again.
"Lucas, you're so kind."
With that, she jumped onto Lucas' back and put her arms around his neck tightly.
Lucas stood up very easily and said dotingly, "Now I am a good brother again?"
"Yeah."
Zoe knew Lucas was mocking her, but it didn't matter. She was very comfortable on his back.
Nicole smiled as she watched the children getting on well with each other.
"Are you tired? Come on, I'll carry you."
Samuel squatted in front of Nicole like Lucas did for Zoe.
Nicole's heart started to beat fast.
The memories of the past surged in her mind.
This was not the first time Samuel had carried her, but she would still be excited and happy. The feeling
of being cherished was really good.
Nicole climbed onto Samuel's back and happily leaned on his shoulder.
The mountain road was still very far and rugged, but now everyone was happy. As Joseph glanced at
Samuel and Nicole, a smile appeared on his face.
The camera behind them captured this scene, and the cracking sound echoed through the forest. It
sounded especially pleasant.
Fill also made some new progress.
"Fill, I've found it. Kody is really a tough nut to crack. If you weren't so meticulous, we wouldn't have
found out his identity."
