Samuel fell into a trance, so Laurence tried to wake him.
Samuel regained consciousness.
"I'll lead a team to the port nearby. Please handle things here."
Samuel turned around and left.
Although Laurence was also worried about them, seeing Samuel's action, he knew that he had enough
men, so he didn't insist in following him.
After Audrey and Elvis got on the boat, he left it right away and used it to distract Samuel and his team.
He took Audrey and unconscious Nicole to a different boat.

Audrey glared at him coldly, and carefully looked after Nicole.
When Nicole woke up and saw Audrey, she wondered if she was still dreaming.
"Mom? Is that you? No, I must be dreaming."
Nicole smiled bitterly and wanted to get up, but she felt so painful from the back of her neck.
Then she remembered something.
"Elvis?!"
She suddenly sat up and felt extremely dizzy.
"Easy, Nicole. You need to rest."
She heard Audrey's voice again, and was totally stunned.
"Mom? Is it really you?"
Nicole looked at Audrey and touched her face with doubts.

Nicole was furious.

was fading in my memory. So, if I can see him again before I die, then I can leave this world with no
regret."
"Mom, what are you talking about? Be rational, please."
Nicole felt that Elvis had brainwashed her. She was furious and wished that she could kill him now.
Elvis smiled and said, "Your mother has always been rational, more than anyone. But that's also why
she has lived such a miserable life, isn't it, Audrey?"
"Shut up! I'm talking to my daughter and it was none of your business."
Audrey's tone was tough.
All these years, Elvis was well respected by people around him, no one dared to talk to him like this.
Audrey shouted at him in such manner, but he didn't get mad and really stopped talking and looked at
her.
Nicole was very surprised.
"Mom, why does he care for what you say?"
"Because he felt guilty!"

friend and was also the man who caused his death. He hides your father's body and now refuses to

When Master Green knew about this, he invited your father to the Green's and showed your father his

"After that, Master Green showed Xander out by himself. But when he returned home, he decided to
burn the notebook and he got very drunk that night. He said he made a big mistake and felt guilty. But I
secretly hid his notebook away because I knew how hard he worked on those data and I couldn't bear

Audrey glared at Elvis hatefully, as if wanted to tear him into pieces.
Nicole squinted her eyes with anger.
"You are so vicious."
Elvis did not say anything, as if it had nothing to do with him.
At this age, Audrey had no concerns to reveal this incident.
This was the most embarrassing thing of her entire life.
"Is that why you broke up with father?"
Nicole suddenly asked.
Audrey's eyes were wet instantly.

him to join the army. So, I took the chance to break up with him. But he told others that he broke up

Audrey started crying.

Back in time, Elvis wasn't able to reaching him in the military area. But he somehow managed to gain
the trust of someone powerful and started to arrange overseas missions to your father. Those were
dangerous missions with his life at stake. So, he entrusted someone to bring the notebook back to me.
In his letter, he asked me to protect it and gave it to the military if there was any chance. But I didn't
want to give it to anyone. Then I found out that I was pregnant and I didn't dare to tell your grandpa. I
started to prepare for the exam to be a diplomatic officer."
"I passed the exam, but I was also about to deliver. I knew that they would send me abroad to work,

now, but to be with the love of my life."
Nicole suddenly realized something.
"Wait, you mean you brought the notebook with you?"
"Yes, I do. Your father and I are separated forever because of it. I am dying anyway, and I can't leave
this time bomb to you. So, I brought it."
Audrey laughed as she spoke, but Nicole was getting worried.
