Tim and Evelyn spent a whole day picking the locks and they finally did it at dawn.
Tim had a really long night when he watched his beloved wife walking around and her scent turned him
on, but he was unable to do anything. That feeling was really bad.
Samuel waked up at midnight and picked Nicole up.
Half asleep, Nicole didn't want to open her eyes but just wrapped her arms around Samuel's neck and
asked confusedly, "Where are we going?"
"Just go back to sleep. I won't harm you, you know."
Samuel said with a doting smile.
Nicole agreed so she asked no more and soon fell asleep again in Samuel's arms.
Samuel carried Nicole out of the bedroom, wrapped a coat around her, and then quietly walked out of
the house.
Ernesto was waiting outside. When he saw them, he hurriedly pulled open the car door.
"Mr. Green, all's ready."
"Let's go,"
Samuel nodded.
Ernesto started the car.
Tim heard the engine and paused.
"Who goes out so late?"
"Who cares? Our task today is to pick the locks! The locks!" Evelyn said dejectedly.
She was going crazy.
It was her wedding night, okay? Why was she doing a locksmith's job here?
Tim helped her with the locks while cursing Samuel in his heart.
Samuel's ears were burning. He knew that Tim and Evelyn must be cursing him, but he didn't care. It
served them right because they had picked on his wife when he was not around.
The car drove all the way to the airport where a private plane was waiting.
Ernesto parked the car, opened the door and whispered to Samuel, "Mr. Green, are you sure you don't
need us?"
"Yes. Take good care of our family and keep Major's men off as much as possible,"
Samuel said a little seriously.
"Yes, Sir. When are you coming back?"
"12:00 p.m."
With that, Samuel carried Nicole out of the car and got on the plane.
After a few hours, the plane arrived at Samcole Island.
It was almost dawn.
Samuel carefully carried Nicole to the room.
When Nicole woke up, she seemed to hear the waves.
She was a little puzzled. When she opened her eyes, she saw a somewhat familiar room. For a
moment, she couldn't figure out where she was.
Nicole lifted the blanket and got up. The incessant waves attracted her to the window. Involuntarily, she
opened the window.
The vast sea brought along a sea breeze, refreshing Nicole a lot.
Samcole Island?
She thought of the island that Samuel had given her.
They were here?
Nicole felt a little happy.
Only then did she realize that Samuel was not in the room.
Where did he go? It was still early.
Nicole put on her shoes, opened the door and walked out.
However, she was stunned at the door.
Festive decorations were all over. Countless flowers, with some dew on them, were made into flower
baskets and arches as part of the decorations.
Samuel walked inside, wearing a white tuxedo.
With a bouquet of roses in his hand, he looked at Nicole affectionately. He said, "Dear Miss Nicole,
today is our wedding, just two of us. Are you sure you want to keep looking at me like this? The priest
will be here soon."
Nicole's eyes suddenly became moist.
The wedding of them?
She had always thought that their wedding would be as lavish as Tim's, for which she had been worried
for a long time. Would that kind of wedding attract Major's attention and he would screw the ceremony?
Now, when Samuel said that it was the wedding of them two, she suddenly understood everything.
This was the wedding Samuel specially prepared for her.
There were no guests, no others, but just them two and the priest.
It was simple, but meaningful. Most importantly, there wouldn't be disturbances. They could do
whatever they want.
Nicole smiled, her eyes glistening with tears.
"Silly girl, today is our wedding day. Why are you crying? Don't you like it?"
"Yes, I like it."
Nicole threw herself into his embrace.
He smelled of the sea breeze with some coldness, but Nicole felt moved and warm.
With such a considerate man around, what else did she want?
"Where's my dress?"
"In the cabinet."
Samuel led Nicole into the bedroom.
Nicole opened the cabinet and saw a beautiful wedding dress. It was similar to a fishtail dress, but it
was a slightly improved one, with diamonds shining brightly on it. Nicole liked it a lot.
"When did you prepare it?"
"Long before. I made the wedding dress myself."
Samuel's answer stunned Nicole slightly.
"You? Do you know how to make wedding dresses?"
"Yes, I can learn everything for you."
Samuel hugged Nicole from behind. At this moment, they both felt quiet inside.
Nicole was very touched. With the help of Samuel, she put on her wedding dress.
The wedding dress fitted her well.
Samuel was entranced by her.
He let Nicole sit down and began to put on makeup for Nicole.
Nicole had never known that Samuel could do that. It seemed that he had made a lot of preparations
for today.
"Did you learn makeup, too?"
"Nobody else will be here, just two of us, so I'm your groom, your makeup artist, your stylist and all
other roles."
Samuel said in a low voice, holding an eyebrow pencil with his slender fingers to draw eyebrows for
Nicole.
That reminded Nicole of the ancient men.
If a man drew eyebrows for a woman, it meant that he promised a lifetime of attachment with her.
Was that what Samuel meant?
She looked at Samuel, whose face was so serious and attentive that her heart was filled with joy.
Who said Samuel wouldn't be romantic?
As long as he wanted, he could give her the best romance in the world.
Nicole watched her face become beautiful and exquisite under Samuel's hands. She smiled and said,
"You've really learnt it hard. But you're busy every day. When did you learn it?"
"When you were sleeping,"
Samuel said tenderly.
Nicole was slightly stunned before she smiled brightly.
"Tell me, did you make me ugly in the beginning?"
Samuel immediately laughed.
"I washed it off as soon as it was done, really."
"Do you have any photos?"
Samuel was slightly surprised, "Yes."
As he spoke, he handed his phone to Nicole.
Nicole found a photo album of her on Samuel's phone and opened it.
The photo album was filled with photos of herself. Some were taken by Samuel in her sleep when he
practiced makeup on her face. In those photos, her face looked awful.
Nicole looked through them and laughed.
It was so ugly.
But later, her face looked prettier and his skills improved a lot.
Nicole's heart softened.
If a man did this for her, wasn't it because that he loved her?
Samuel finished Nicole's makeup. Then, he held her hand and said affectionately, "Dear Nicole, my
honey, shall we go downstairs now?"
"Are you going to propose?"
"Of course. I think the proposal should be by the sea. What do you think?"
Looking at Samuel's affectionate face, Nicole nodded.
They walked out of the villa hand in hand.
The waves lapped the rocks.
Nicole looked at the vast ocean and then at the island. The entire island was decorated by Samuel into
a venue for a big wedding.
Samuel stood at the seaside and looked at Nicole. Suddenly, he knelt on one knee.
"Miss Nicole, would you marry me, Samuel? Not for anything else, just because I am Samuel, the one
in your heart. From now on, I will pamper you as a princess, my princess forever."
Nicole's eyes were a little wet.
She looked at the flowers and the ring in Samuel's hand, smiled and nodded. With tears in her eyes,
she said, "Yes, I do."
Samuel put the ring on her and kissed her finger.
Even if she had seen others propose before, she didn't feel as shocked and happy as she did now.
Happiness rushed into her heart, and the feeling of joy could no longer be suppressed.
"Samuel, let's dance."
"My pleasure."
Samuel supported Nicole's waist. There was no music, only the sea breeze and waves here but they
still danced, in the wind.
They were like the most beautiful elves, jumping on the beach and in the sea.
The priest watched them. Although he had seen too many weddings, he didn't see real happiness until
now from this couple.
After the dance, Samuel held Nicole's hand and came to the priest.
The priest asked them some questions and vows as usual, and finally announced that they would be a
couple and would never part from each other in the face of trials and tribulations.
Samuel smiled like a child and said to Nicole, "Shouldn't we go to our bedroom now?"
Nicole's face immediately turned red.
"In broad daylight ..."
"But it's time to do so."
Samuel smiled and carried Nicole inside.
They spent the whole day at the Samcole Island, mainly in bed.
Nicole was tired out and she finally begged for Samuel's mercy after zillion times.
"Stop, I can't go on anymore, really. Besides, it's New Year's Eve. Won't Grandpa and others feel lonely
if we stay here?"
"We'll be back soon. Sleep now."
Samuel hugged Nicole tightly.
Tired, Nicole fell asleep amidst Samuel's strong heartbeat.
When the plane landed in the Seapolis City, Nicole woke to the noise of firecrackers outside.
"Why are there firecrackers?"
Nicole yawned and Samuel warp coat around her.
"Today is New Year's Eve, and it's almost twelve o'clock. Everyone stays up to say goodbye to the old
and welcome the new. Naturally, the firecrackers sound all over."
"We're back?"
Nicole leaned on the window and looked outside. It was colorful outside.
"So wonderful."
"Yes, everyone is celebrating our wedding."
Though Samuel's words were obviously baseless, Nicole did not refute them but smiled sweetly
instead.
They got off the plane and saw Ernesto, who was waiting outside the airport.
"Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Green."
Nicole was a little shy. She raised her head and saw a familiar figure walk out of the airport.
