Nicole was shocked. She saw it was Samuel and let out a sigh of relief.

"Where are you?"

It was a little noisy over the phone.

Nicole whispered, "I'm back at the hotel. I just came out of Booth's place."

Then Nicole thought for a moment and said, "I happen to have something that need your help with."

"Go on."

"Get a helicopter to bring Olivia back. I hope she can be there for Booth's operation tonight."

Just as Nicole finished speaking, she was worried that Samuel would find it troublesome. She heard

Samuel say, "By the way, I also need to ask you something. Steven said that Dr. Ashley gave you a

business card and asked you to take Olivia to Bahman, the arranger, right?"

"The arranger? I didn't notice it. I thought it was the director."

Nicole felt she was so careless.

Samuel smiled and said, "He is like the god of arranger. Those who he composes music for all became

popular. So I also want Olivia to come over. Since you have already told her, I will go bring her over

right away."

"Alright."

Nicole was very pleased.

If Olivia could really be a singer, it would be easier for her to enter the entertainment industry than

being a background extra. Moreover, Olivia indeed got a quite beautiful voice.

Nicole told Olivia this good news via WeChat.

Olivia was very happy for sure.

After all, she got nothing to do. Nicole went directly to the airport to wait for Olivia.

Less than an hour later, Olivia arrived at City B and she hugged Nicole tightly upon seeing her.

"You really helped me a lot! If I could make it, everything would turn out fine. No! I will definitely make

it!"

Seeing the strength in Olivia's eyes, Nicole felt both sad yet happy for her.

"Let's go see Booth first. Tell him that you're here so he'll feel much more at ease. When his surgery is

done, we'll visit Bahman tomorrow."

"Alright."

Nicole and Olivia drove back to the hotel.

Booth was happy to see Olivia and was more than excited to know that Olivia had the potential to

become a singer.

Time passed in their laughter.

Seeing Ashley, Nicole hurriedly stood up.

"Here you are. Take a look at his leg. Is it possible for him to recover with a surgery?"

Ashley was pulled to Booth's side by Nicole.

Booth was a little shy seeing the doctor was a lady, but in order to stand again, he could only endure

the embarrassment.

Ashley didn't care about gender as a doctor. After examining Booth, she pondered for a moment and

said, "I can do the surgery and he can again stand, but it won't be perfect."

"What do you mean by that?"

Olivia was very worried.

Ashley glanced at Olivia and whispered, "His bones are completely crushed broken. It's a comminuted

fracture. With the surgery he can stand up, but can't stand for too long. Also, he can't push his legs too

hard. Do you understand what I mean?"

Olivia promptly shook her head.

But Nicole got what the doctor was saying.

"Are you saying that Booth can walk like a normal person, but he can't stand for a long time?"

"Yes. After all, it's a comminuted fracture. I will try my best for the surgery but still I know no magic.

There are some symptoms that I need to explain to you clearly. It's better for him to walk less and sit

more."

Olivia couldn't help but feel a little sad as she didn't expect such a result.

Booth smiled and said, "It's OK. Even if I can only stand for ten minutes it's good enough. After all, no

doctor told me before that I could stand up normally."

Ashley took a look at Booth. Seeing his shining eyes, she couldn't help but smile and say, "I'm only

talking about an eighty percent chance. It's good for you to have some hope for yourself. Actually, I

don't think whether a man can succeed or not has anything to do with whether he sits or stands. What

do you think?"

"I think so."

Booth smiled cheerfully.

He seemed to have suddenly realized something. In the past, he had always put himself into a dead

end. Actually, as long as he wanted to start a business, he could still make it with the help of his

wisdom and Samuel. What's more, now he got Ashley to perform the surgery.

Seeing Booth in such a good state, Nicole couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Olivia, everything is heading in the best direction. Don't worry."

"Yes,"

Olivia nodded.

Hearing Olivia's name, Ashley couldn't help but glance at her. This girl's eyes were so clean and clear

that would people feel extremely comfortable.

"You guys can leave now. I don't want anyone unprofessional around during the surgery."

Ashley's voice was not loud, but Nicole still got it.

She left the room with Olivia.

"We do it here?"

"Don't worry, Dr. Ashley is excellent. She will get everything prepared for the surgery."

Nicole left Booth's room with the worried Olivia.

Both of them felt a little tormented while waiting.

Nicole suddenly said, "I'm very curious about Melissa now."

"Curious?"

Olivia thought the word Nicole used was particularly interesting.

Nicole nodded and read Major's message again. She did not figure out anything special, but she felt

something strange.

"Perhaps I need to visit Elvis when back to the Seapolis City."

Olivia shook her head when hearing Nicole's words.

"Even if you go, he probably won't see you. I heard that Elvis had no desire to live at all. He will not tell

you the truth. Besides, Samuel went to him already. He got nothing from him."

Nicole paused slightly.

"How did you know that Samuel had gone for him?"

Olivia said very casually, "I've met Petty's mother, Lillian. I got it from her."

Nicole frowned.

"Lillian? Why did she tell you this?"

"I'm not sure. It was probably just a casual chat."

Olivia said it lightly, but Nicole was somewhat lost in thought.

Lillian didn't even know Olivia, so why did she tell Olivia about it? Was it really a throwaway question?

"Was Petty with her when you met Lillian?"

"Yes. Otherwise how could I know her mother? They seemed to be doing grocery shopping."

Seeing Nicole frown, Olivia felt that something was wrong.

"What's the matter? Do you think something's wrong?"

"Yes, there must be something wrong. I just knew about Samuel's visit to Elvis not long ago. Why did

Lillian know about it? Even she knew it, why did she tell you about it when you just first met?"

Hearing what Nicole just said, Olivia paused for a moment.

"When we met Petty she greeted me. I subconsciously asked who the lady was. Then she said it was

her mother. I asked them where you were. Lillian told me she heard that you went out with Samuel to

Elvis to ask about something. That's what I know."

Olivia tried her best to recall what happened that day and told Nicole.

Nicole frowned even deeper.

"No way! We didn't tell anyone what we were up to when we left. Furthermore, Samuel didn't intend to

go in the first place. We decided to go ad hoc after we got something done later. How did Lillian know

about it?"

What Nicole said made Olivia frown slightly.

"You think Lillian is suspicious?"

"I doubt it's more than that. Logically speaking, Elvis' group was eliminated, so how could there still be

a fish out of the net? Major had been doing business overseas, and he happened to be adopted by

Elvis, so why wasn't he involved? Melissa also got out of the orphanage because of Elvis. What was

she planning with Major?"

Nicole was rather confused.

Olivia narrowed her eyes and whispered, "Do you suspect that Lillian was behind all this?"

"Was she?"

Nicole didn't want to believe her speculation as there wasn't any evidence, but she had a really bad

feeling.

Olivia's eyes darkened.

"If Brian is involved with what Major was doing while there is something between Major and Lillian.

Then I won't let go of her even if she is Petty's mother or not."

"Let's talk about this later when we get it clear. What has happened recently is too strange. I even think

that Jacob had the car accident because he knew something."

Nicole did not have such a guess, but now, she felt it's getting more and more suspicious.

The two of them fell silent for a moment.

Olivia clenched her hands tightly together. After a long time, she whispered, "If Jacob did suffer the car

accident because of this, I will not let it go."

"Don't worry, I will help you."

Nicole held Olivia's hand tightly.

Olivia suddenly raised her head and whispered, "But Petty is your little sister-in-law."

"You're my bestie. Who else will help you if I don't?"

Hearing what Nicole said, her eyes immediately turned red.

"How lucky I am to have a friend like you in my life."

"I am the lucky one. Alright, don't mention it. Let's find out about this together."

Nicole patted Olivia's shoulder and smiled, but a trace of determination flashed through her eyes.

She was determined to get to the bottom of it.

The surgery was finally over.

Ashley came out, looking exhausted.

"Dr. Ashley, how is my brother?"

Olivia quickly stood up.

Ashley rubbed her neck and smiled. "It was very successful. Don't worry. After the anesthetic is over,

he can practice walking in about a month."

"Great!"

Olivia was overjoyed.

Nicole also put on a smile.

It was the best news in recent days.

Olivia couldn't wait to see Booth in the room.

Nicole looked at Ashley and smiled, "What about we having a supper together?"

"I am good. I don't want your husband to hate me for borrowing your time."

As she spoke, Ashley pouted her mouth.

Nicole looked back. She didn't know when Samuel was already waiting for them in the corridor.

"What about we go together?"

Nicole was a little shy saying that.

Ashley sensibly waved her hand and left.

Samuel walked over and hugged Nicole from the back, and then said softly, "The surgery is successful,

can we go for a break now, my pregnant lady?"

Nicole smiled slightly, but all of a sudden she smelled a strong scent of perfume from him.
