"Zoe!"

Nicole hurriedly carried Zoe and rolled on the ground.

She looked towards Samuel and found nothing happened to him. They were still saying something in

front of Vincent's grave. Nicole frowned slightly.

She didn't want to disturb Samuel, but there were obviously snipers here.

Zoe was protected in Nicole's arms and whispered, "Mommy, I can feel that the snipers are hiding high

on the left."

"Yes."

Nicole nodded slightly but did not say anything.

Even if she knew where the snipers were, she did not carry a gun with her, and Zoe did not bring

anything out. They were sitting ducks if they went out.

Seeing that Nicole didn't say anything else, Zoe couldn't help but feel a little anxious.

"Mommy, did you hear me?"

"Yes, honey, but we don't have any weapons right now. It's not wise to leave. Also, the first task is to

inform your Daddy to be alert."

Hearing what Nicole said, Zoe frowned.

They were a little distance away from Samuel, and they didn't know what was going on with him.

Zoe took out her phone and was just about to call Samuel when a bullet directly shattered her phone.

Only at that moment did Nicole understand that the snipers did not kill them, but stop them from

moving.

So, what were their goals?

Nicole looked towards Samuel.

Samuel and Joseph were speaking in front of Vincent's grave. But suddenly, they felt danger

approaching.

Joseph wanted to turn around, but Samuel held his hand and pulled him behind himself to protect him.

"Mr. Green is quick-witted."

A mocking voice came from behind him. The voice was very unfamiliar, but it sounded very young.

Samuel turned his head slightly and looked at the person in front. His eyes narrowed slightly.

"It's you?"

"You know me?"

Jarrod was somewhat astonished.

He didn't know who his mother was since he was a child. His father didn't tell him anything but was

very strict with him. It wasn't until he was eighteen that his father told him who his mother was and that

he had a half-brother.

Over the years, Jarrod had been secretly investigating Samuel and knew all about him. But Samuel

had only recently learned about Jarrod.

On this point, Samuel lost to Jarrod.

However, Samuel was not as surprised as Jarrod had imagined. He only said indifferently, "If you are

here to pay respects to Vincent, then stand still. If not, scram now. You can't do whatever you please

even you arrange a few snipers here. I may tolerate you in it, but I won't indulge you."

With that, Samuel ignored Jarrod and held Joseph's hand to incense before Vincent's grave.

Joseph did not know Jarrod, but he did not ask. After respectfully incensing, he stood quietly aside and

waited.

Even though Jarrod had imagined thousands of possibilities, he did not expect Samuel to be so cold

and calm, nor did he expect him to say that to him.

For a moment, Jarrod was stunned and subconsciously incensed too.

Then Samuel said indifferently, "You may go now."

"I want to have a good chat with you or Vincent."

Jarrod hated Samuel. Though his mother had been by his side for so many years, she acted as a

butler. And he hadn't enjoyed a single day of mother love.

However, after seeing Samuel, Jarrod realized that the hatred in his heart was only jealousy.

"What do you want to say? You'd better not hurt my wife and daughter. Otherwise, I'll kill you even

you're my brother."

Samuel said indifferently, and no emotions could be heard. He's totally cold.

Jarrod looked at Samuel and whispered, "I'm not that fanatical about killing people. Don't get me

wrong."

"But you actually pay ten million dollars to kill me."

Jarrod was silent after heard what Samuel said.

"Aren't you well now? Besides, they failed. I won't give them the money. Now I've changed my mind

and don't want to kill you."

Samuel did not say anything about Jarrod's changing. He just looked at Vincent's photo and whispered,

"Were you there when Vincent had the accident?"

Jarrod was suddenly stunned by his words.

"Why would you ask that?"

"Because you knew about me and Vincent a long time ago. I believe that you knew our movements. I

couldn't save Vincent then. You should have had the chance and time to save him, but he's still dead."

Samuel looked at Jarrod coldly and angrily.

Jarrod suddenly felt a little afraid.

He looked at Vincent's gravestone and whispered, "I wanted to rush over, but I failed. I was trapped by

my father. When I came, what was done couldn't be undone."

He was also sad about that.

Vincent was the last person who would threaten him.

Ever since he was young, he had a simple life. He didn't fight against Samuel for power and

inheritance, and he left the Seapolis City.

During that time, Jarrod had indeed followed Vincent, investigated him, and even contacted him.

Vincent was straightforward. Jarrod had been in contact with him for some time without telling him his

identity. He was very happy then.

Unfortunately, Aaron discovered that. He was forcibly brought back. When he learned that something

had happened to Vincent, Jarrod wanted to help but was trapped by Aaron. Everything seemed to be

settled in the dark. Even if he wanted to change something, he couldn't.

Samuel listened to Jarrod silently. Then he said indifferently, "Leave here quickly. You can do whatever

you want to against me. But now I don't want to tangle with you."

Jarrod was dumbfounded for a moment and whispered, "I don't either. I know what you're doing here.

I'm just here to remind you that you'd better not interfere with something. Otherwise, you may invite

trouble. Now that you have a wife and children, it's good that you live a peaceful life. Don't be too

ambitious."

Samuel gave a little start after heard what Jarrod said, and then he narrowed his eyes.

"You mean you or your father was to do with what happened to Emory? Jarrod, you'd better not be my

enemy, otherwise..."

"What? I'm your brother! Whether you admit it or not, I'm still your brother!"

Jarrod once thought that he would never admit this and would never say it out. But then he blurted it

out as if this was what he thought.

All the jealousy and hostility in the past turned into a yearning when he saw Samuel.

A yearning for kinship and brotherhood.

He didn't know what was wrong with him.

Over the years, he had endured too many and felt very pitiful and painstaking. However, after knew

Samuel's past, he realized that he was lucky. At least, compared with Samuel, he was happy.

Perhaps Vincent's cemetery was too solemn that he's spilling his guts without hesitation.

Samuel was slightly stunned. He saw a trace of frustration and unwillingness in Jarrod's eyes, but then

relief followed.

Though Samuel was shocked he was still expressionless, "I don't need it," he continued, "Relatives

mean only traps to me. I only want my wife and children."

He seemed to be cold and heartless, but Jarrod pitied for him after hearing that.

"Relatives aren't what you can maintain or discard as you wish. I am your brother, this is destined.

Don't be too stubborn. There are some things that you can't change by yourself. Lindo is not as simple

as you think. Although the Neos was ostensibly not led by Lindo these past few years, a few Neos still

contacted him privately. Can you fight a group of people by yourself? Someone will solve Emory's

problem, so don't worry about it. Do you think that you have had enough troubles yourself?"

Hearing Jarrod's words, Samuel was slightly surprised, but he did not appreciate it.

"No, I will handle this."

"Samuel, you are a donkey."

Jarrod was so angry that he was a little confused.

He walked back and forth twice and said, "Isn't it enough for me to send Ysabel over to Fill? Can't you

just stay in the Sky Group?"

"No."

Samuel's words almost drove Jarrod crazy.

"You, you, you..."

"Me, me, me... You don't have to worry about me. Now, let your men withdraw and let my wife and

daughter go."

Samuel imitated Jarrod, causing Jarrod madder.

Joseph pursed his lips and wanted to laugh, but he restrained himself.

Jarrod said angrily, "You don't know what's good for you. Wait, when you're killed, I'll bury you beside

Vincent."

"Thank you!"

Samuel said that seriously.

Jarrod became speechless by what Samuel said.

Joseph couldn't help but laugh and say, "Uncle, my mother and sister will be worried if you still don't let

them go."

The "uncle" Joseph said pleased Jarrod.

"Well, Vincent's son is cuter. Alright, for the sake of my nephew, I won't argue with you now."

Jarrod made a gesture and the snipers hiding high up retreated.

Zoe and Nicole felt that the crisis was resolved, so, they quickly stood up and ran towards Samuel.

When Samuel saw them, his poker face changed. Then he said coldly, "You may go too. We won't treat

you to lunch. You probably won't be used to our food either."

What Samuel said was annoying, and Jarrod wanted to teach him a lesson.

He couldn't help but suspect that he was crazy then. Otherwise, why would he want to be on friendly

terms with Samuel?
