"The draft of the military? Now our company is doing business with the military?"
Nicole raised her head and asked Chris.
Chris looked around and said, "This is only a draft. Mr. Green asked us to design it now. If it can be
used, we could cooperate with the military. If we can reach an agreement on the cooperation, our group
will become a semi-militarized group. That would be awesome."
"Let your capabilities speak for you. There are quite a lot of designers in the military."
Nicole cast a damp over them in time in case that they would overestimate themselves too much.
"Sure. Catherine is right."
Although Chris was older than Nicole, he quite respected her, because Nicole did have a talent in
design. Although she abstained from the design competition some time ago, she was pushed to the
high ground due to the plagiarism scandal that Melissa instructed.
Nicole pointed to a part of the draft and said, "Here needs adjustment. This is what I think. Civil cars
are fine, but military vehicles must be explosion-proof and shockproof with good safety performance.
The design here is too fancy and it does not fit. So, my suggestion is to work on this. You can go
through the details by yourself."
Chris looked at what Nicole had pointed out and frowned, "Catherine, if we want better safety
performance, it should stand out a bit more here. But it will affect the overall beauty of the car. You
know, appearance is the first thing to know about a car. If it doesn't look beautiful, it can't compare with
other cars."
"But you can't lower the safety performance of the car just for its beauty. Do you think it will be better to
have a change here?"
Nicole took out a pencil and directly sketched a few strokes on the design paper. With that, the shape
of the whole car immediately had a substantial change.
"It's fantastic."
Chris was simply amazed.
Nicole was also satisfied with it.
She really liked designing cars. Now, she quit this job to start a company. Although she didn't regret it,
she still enjoyed picking up the pencil again.
"Alright, all of you take your time to work at the rest details. I should go. I'm afraid Samuel would call
me again if he couldn't find me."
Nicole stood up and was about to leave.
Although she was passionate about design, this was the drawing of the design team. She could only
give a few suggestions. If she participated too much, it would be annoying.
She knew very well when enough was enough.
Chris and the others sent Nicole out of the design room.
Nicole had just left the design room when she saw Samuel standing in the corridor and looking at her
with his smile.
She stuck out her tongue and walked towards Samuel.
"How did you know I'm here?"
"Apart from this, what else do you like about my company?"
Samuel stretched out his arm.
Nicole naturally grabbed his arm.
"You've done with your call?"
"Yeah, Mike said he would bring Viola to the Seapolis City this afternoon. What are you going to do?"
Samuel wasn't worried that Nicole would lock Viola up. Besides, it seemed not that easy to lock Viola
up somewhere.
However, Nicole smiled and said, "What? Just bring her to the military compound and find my
grandfather. Anyway, Viola is also his granddaughter. Having not seen her for so many years, he
certainly will teach her the rules of the Shaws, won't he?"
Samuel was stunned, but he had to say that this was a good idea.
Anyone who entered the military compound would not be able to go out without the commander's
permission. Moreover, she could be said to be accompanying her grandfather.
"But should we talk about it with your grandfather?"
"Sure. Otherwise, Grandpa must kick her out of the military compound."
Nicole smiled and walked out of the company with Samuel.
This was the first time that the staff saw Samuel's smile. His smile was tinged with a sense of
pampering, which completely intoxicated these women.
Mr. Green was so handsome!
However, Samuel ignored them and only cared for Nicole. After getting in the car with her, Nicole took
out her phone and called Edwin.
"Grandpa, Samuel and I am going to see you. What do you want to eat? I'll bring it for you."
There came Nicole's sweet voice.
Edwin put on a faint smile.
"I want some bananas. I'm suffering from an upset stomach recently."
"Alright."
Nicole put down the phone. Samuel drove to the fruit market consciously.
They buy bananas and some other fruits. Later, Samuel bought a tin of good Yellow Mountain fuzz tip
in the tea house. Then they drove to Edwin's house.
Seeing that they were coming, Steve hurriedly welcomed them in.
"Ms. Nicole, Miss Zoe hit someone. Commander didn't want me to tell you, but the victim has an
impressive background. Ms. Nicole, you'd better deal with it later."
Steve whispered.
Nicole sneered and glanced at Samuel.
"Didn't your good daughter only care about food? How did she pick up violence from Ashley's
daughter?"
"I'll handle it."
Samuel took the responsibility with his good temper.
Nicole smiled at seeing him like this.
"Grandpa, I'm coming."
Nicole went to the living room directly.
Edwin was reading the military newspaper. When he saw Nicole and Samuel came in, he smiled and
said, "Oh, you bring me a lot of food. Let me guess, you must have something to beg me. Otherwise, I
couldn't enjoy this."
"Grandpa, what are you talking about? It sounds like I'm unkind to you."
Nicole played the coquetry.
She walked over and held Edwin's arm as she talked.
"Look at you. I haven't said anything yet, and you talked back to me right away. She must be always
making trouble with you at home."
Edwin hurriedly looked at Samuel for help.
He thought that Samuel would speak for him, but Samuel smiled, "It's OK. That's why our family is so
lively."
"You are spoiling her."
Edwin shook his head, but it seemed that he was very satisfied with Samuel's answer.
"Grandpa, what do you mean? Do you want Samuel to treat me badly?"
"I didn't say that."
Edwin chuckled. He was in a better mood because of their arrival.
"Where's Zoe? Why couldn’t I see this girl?"
Nicole asked in a seemingly unintentional way.
Edwin said, "That kid from the Cawker family gets food for Zoe every day. It even looks like she's about
to marry into that family. Samuel, you should talk with Emory and ask his son to leave Zoe alone. Our
girl needs to get married."
Nicole chuckled.
"Grandpa, Zoe is just a foodie. If someone could give her food, she would stay there for almost two
weeks."
"What are you talking about? Zoe is not that bad."
Samuel didn't want to hear it.
"Go and find your little girl."
Nicole waved her hand to let Samuel leave.
Samuel smiled and went directly to the Cawker's.
Seeing that Samuel had left, Nicole smiled and said, "Grandpa, let me ask you something."
"I knew I couldn't enjoy your fruit for free. There's also a tin of good Yellow Mountain fuzz tip. It seems
it's not a small thing."
Edwin shook his head.
Nicole tugged at his clothes.
"Are you going to help me or not?"
"OK, fine. I only have one granddaughter. Who am I going to help if I don't help you?"
"I'm not the only granddaughter. Don't you have Viola?"
Nicole said Viola's name out directly.
Edwin's face clouded over suddenly.
"She's also my granddaughter? I didn't admit that."
"Grandpa, come on, just admit it, for half a month at most."
"What do you mean?"
Edwin frowned immediately.
Nicole told her what Dominic had done to her and what she was planning to do.
Edwin got her point at once.
"You want me to keep an eye on her and locked her up here during this period?"
"Don't say such dreadful things. I just ask her to be with you. Think about it, Viola was mom's daughter.
She has a kinship with the Shaw family after all. She would definitely kill me for her dad. Just help me."
Nicole shook Edwin's arm, pleading him.
How could Edwin refuse Nicole's pleading?
"Alright. But I have to make it clear. You can't interfere with what I'm going to do when she is here."
"I won't do that."
Nicole guaranteed.
Edwin then got back in his good mood.
"I heard that Tim has got married?"
Edwin was quite well-informed.
"Yes. He's married to Evelyn. The wedding hasn't been prepared yet, because he's still in the hospital.
He'll start to prepare it when he's recovered."
Nicole said hurriedly.
Edwin took out a key from his pocket and handed it to Nicole.
"What is this?"
Nicole was a bit puzzled.
Edwin said, "This is a school district house I bought in the downtown area. I want to give it to Tim's wife
as a greeting gift from the elder. I'll go to the hospital to visit Tim two days later. And I'll handle their
wedding later."
"Grandpa, you want to see to Tim's wedding?"
"What are you talking about? What do you mean by "want to"? I'm his grandfather. God knows where
his father is. He doesn't care about Tim at all. What can I count on him? His mother now ... Well, I can't
leave him alone."
Edwin sighed.
Nicole was very happy. With Edwin's showing up, Tim's wedding could be considered a perfect one in
name and fact.
"You should give him the key on your own. It's almost Samuel's birthday. I plan to go out with him for a
few days alone. Grandpa, take care of Zoe for me."
Nicole pushed the key back to Edwin again.
This kind of favor should be done by Edwin himself. She wished she could be with Samuel every day.
When Edwin heard what Nicole said so, he realized that the two of them seldom be together and they
went through a lot. He asked, "Where do you plan to go? Do you need me providing something for
you?"
"It's OK. We've got plans."
Steve ran in as they talked.
"Commander, Ms. Nicole, please take a look at Miss Zoe. She is fighting with someone else
again."
