Nicole didn’t know what was wrong with Olivia, nor could she figure it out. She was lost in her thought
and only when she heard the news that Tim had come back did she gather herself and walk out of the
room.
Seeing that Nicole looked upset, Samuel took a step forward and asked, “What’s wrong? Did you
quarrel with Olivia?”
Only then did he realize it was not possible.
Everyone knew about what Nicole meant to Olivia, so how would she quarrel with Nicole? Moreover,
they wouldn’t have any relationship in terms of benefits.
Nicole shook her head and asked in a low voice, “Do you think there’s such a fantastic thing like a
rebirth in the world?”
“Are you immersed in novels?”
Samuel’s subconscious question stunned Nicole.

“So everything about rebirth is a lie. She lied to me?”
“Who? Olivia? She said she was reborn?”
Samuel immediately associated it with the reason why Nicole looked upset and couldn’t help but
comment, “Is she so immersed in the movies? Rebirth? Why didn’t she say she was transmigrated into
a dead body and became alive? Or why didn’t she say she was from heaven?”
Feeling his words annoying, Nicole shot a glare at Samuel.
“You can’t comment Olivia like that. There must be some reasons behind.”

explanation to Jacob.”
Samuel had a quick mind and immediately associated it. Although Nicole didn’t want to admit it, she
could only accept it when seeing the confidence in Samuel’s eyes. She twitched her mouth.
“Lucas and Laurence have come back, and we shall deal with that matter first.”
“That matter is not that urgent.”
Learning that this matter was about Jacob, Samuel grabbed Nicole’s arm and asked, “Did Olivia say so
to Jacob?”

Nicole tried to let Samuel drop his idea.
To be honest, she was afraid that Samuel would do something to Olivia.
Samuel sneered, “What would you do if it was done by Jacob?”
Nicole became silent.

could understand how Samuel felt now.
“Jacob said he will solve it himself.”
“It will be good if it’s not because Olivia has fallen for the other man. Otherwise, I will not let go of her
even if Jacob decides to do so.”
“She won’t,” Nicole said hurriedly.
She knew Olivia well and knew she was not the kind of person who would cheat her husband.
But Samuel snorted, “The entertainment business is quite complicated. If it wasn’t that Jacob has been
backing her up behind her back, do you think that she would smoothly become a celebrity? How could
she make such a ridiculous excuse like rebirth now? When the matter here is solved, you shall go to
City B personally and find what Olivia is planning to do.”
“I see.”
Fearing that Samuel would do something, Nicole hurriedly held up his hand and walked outside.
Xander and Audrey had gone out and they slightly nodded at Nicole and Samuel when seeing them.
“Laurence’s identity is special, so we decide to pick him up personally. If it’s possible, we will arrange
them to live in the Dark Forest.”
Nicole and Samuel didn’t agree to Xander’s proposal.

Xander curled his lips into a gentle smile and then rubbed Audrey’s head.
Audrey’s instantly blushed.
“We’ve married for many years. Other people will laugh at us if they see your behavior.”
“We’re not in the Dark Forest. What are you afraid of? Moreover, do you plan to stay in the Dark Forest
for the rest of your life?”
Audrey was bewildered when she heard Xander’s words.
“What do you mean? Our responsibility is to…”
“Someone will take our places if we retire. We’re old now and we’ve sacrificed a lot for the country.
Would you like to retire?”
Xander finally expressed his inner thought.
Audrey was completely taken aback and only came to her own sense after a long while. Her eyes got
wet.
“Have you decided on it?”
She’s a woman after all.
No woman likes to leave her hometown and lead a wandering life. But she never complained about it
because she could stay together with her beloved man. She felt very happy when learning that Xander
planned to retire.

Audrey became excited when imaging the scene.
