"When did you stand behind me?"
Samuel put away the phone as if nothing happened.
Nicole said gently, "Come for dinner. Wash your hands."
"OK."
When Samuel got up, Nicole reached out to help him.
"I'm fine. I can make it myself."
"Let me help you. I don't know when you will get sick again."
Samuel's mouth twitched when Nicole said this.
"Did you call Eagle just now?"
Nicole asked casually.
"Yes, Melissa has a kidney failure. It's acute."
Nicole was slightly surprised hearing this.
"How could this be?"
Samuel knew what she was thinking about. He hurried to say, "It has nothing to do with us. Maybe
something was wrong with her kidney long ago, but it's discovered now."
"Then what will you do?"
Nicole helped Samuel sit on the chair.
Samuel looked at Nicole and suddenly smiled, "Just wait and see."
"What?"
Nicole was puzzled.
"Just wait and see. But don't worry, I won't let Melissa die. I will send her to the hospital. Then I will
send her to the police and take the legal proceedings. Are you feeling better now?"
Samuel knew that Nicole was kind. Even if she was hurt, she did not want Melissa to die because of
her. Samuel did not want her to be worried. However, even if he handed it over to legal system, he still
had other ways to revenge on Melissa.
As she hurt Nicole, he would not easily let Melissa go. Being in prison was not enough. However, he
wouldn't tell Nicole about this.
It was better to hide those things from Nicole.
Samuel made up his mind. Nicole nodded.
"Great. It's not because I don't want to take revenge on her. We have children and our business. It's
really not worthy doing that for Melissa. Sometimes I wonder if we can use violence. We can indeed
feel better for a while in that way, but what about our children? Some people are always in the
darkness and waiting for opportunity to hurt us hard. No matter who get hurt, I can't afford it. Samuel,
I'm in love with you, and we have children, so I become a coward now. Can you understand me? "
"I see. Don't worry. I won't let you worry about me."
Samuel held Nicole's hand tightly.
Nicole was somewhat relaxed.
"Eat it. I cooked your favorite Couple's Sliced Beef in Chili Sauce."
"You can cook this dish?"
Samuel was a little surprised.
Actually, he had no special preference. But after he mistakenly thought Nicole died in the fire five years
ago, he had a passion for this dish, because every time he missed Nicole, he would eat it.
After five years, it became his habit. But he didn't expect that Nicole could remember it.
Samuel was touched.
Nicole said proudly, "Yes, I'm a genius. It's just a piece of cake."
"Yes. My wife is the smartest. Otherwise, how could you give birth to smart children for me?"
Samuel was better at sweet talk.
Nicole smiled.
"Eat. Stop talking while eating."
Although she said this, Nicole still put on a charming smile.
Samuel hoped time could stop at this moment.
Finishing the meal, Nicole wanted to take a nap. Samuel spent this time going to the seaside villa.
When Fill's men saw Samuel, they stood in line.
"Mr. Green."
"Fill went out for a mission. Who is in charge of here?"
Samuel asked in a low voice. His aggressive aura scared everyone.
"It's our veep, Davin Oliver."
"Call him over."
Samuel went directly to Fill's study.
His study room was as gloomy as Fill himself. People would feel depressed here. But there was a
photo on his desk. The girl in it was in a bright smile, but she could never come back.
Samuel picked up the photo and then felt sad.
Fill's girlfriend Whitney Dille was not the only comrade they lost in the undercover mission. But Fill
loved her so deeply. It was said that Whitney's parents had accepted her death. They even kept a
distance from Fill for his fame and did not allow him to visit her tombstone.
He was once the best pilot in the military, but he could not enter the Martyrs' Cemetery to see his loved
one. Samuel did not understand this pain before, but after Nicole almost died in the fire, he completely
understood.
He simply didn't dare to recall what he was like five years ago.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Mr. Green."
Davin knocked on the door and walked in. When he saw Samuel hold a photo of Whitney and Fill, he
was slightly surprised. Then, he whispered, "Mr. Green, our boss doesn't like others to touch this photo.
A man once had his hands cut by boss for touching this photo."
"Then tell Fill that I've touched it. Let's see if he can cut off my hand."
Samuel said indifferently, but Davin suddenly shivered.
"Sorry, Mr. Green. It's my fault."
"All right. You're Fill's man. There's nothing wrong for you to guard his things for him."
Samuel put down the photo and turned back to look at Davin.
He couldn't judge Davin, but if Fill could trust him, it should be OK.
"I need you to do something for me."
"Yes, Mr. Green."
Davin quickly stood straight.
From these people, Samuel could tell that Fill trained them with requirements for special soldiers. If
they were always loyal to Fill, it was great. But if someone betrayed him, it would be very dangerous.
Samuel did not know why he thought of this, but he said indifferently, "Send Melissa to the Military
Hospital for treatment, then sort out her crimes and hand them to the police. Also, tell the Mr. and Mrs.
Bush about Melissa's kidney failure. Can you do it?"
"Yes, sir."
Davin walked out. Samuel felt depressed in this room.
He wanted to leave, but found that Fill's computer was on. He sighed and took the mouse. But when he
saw the page on the screen, his face slightly changed.
Samuel glanced it over and then turned off the computer.
He walked out of the seaside villa and drove downtown. Then he called Jacob.
"Do you have time for a business trip?"
A strange sound came from Jacob's side.
Jacob hurried to pick up the phone and went to the balcony after putting on his trousers.
"Mr. Green, what I need to do?"
"You are with Olivia?"
Samuel lit a cigarette.
Jacob coughed awkwardly and said, "Yes."
"I didn't want to disturb you, but I can't trust anyone except you."
Hearing this, Jacob became serious.
"What happened?"
"I'm afraid that something will happen to Fill. Jacob, I want you to go to Bordeaux and secretly protect
Fill. No matter what happens, keep Fill safe."
Samuel's words surprised Jacob.
"Eagle? He went to Bordeaux? Isn't he in the Seapolis City?"
"He went to Bordeaux for me. Do you have time?"
"I will leave immediately."
Samuel whispered, "Take care of yourself. You know, I also care about you."
"I see. Don't worry, Mr. Green. I will take care of myself. Oh, I remember, Finn told me a few days ago
that Bordeaux is in chaos. Can I bring a team of people over?"
Samuel frowned slightly.
He almost forgot about Finn if Jacob didn't mention him. Samuel felt somewhat unfamiliar with this
name.
Samuel knew that Finn liked Nicole. He had also betrayed Nicole for Laurel. He regretted for that.
Samuel didn't know whether he still loved Nicole.
"Don't bring our people over now. Meet with Finn first. Make clear if he still loves Nicole. If so, ask him
to deal with the chaos in Bordeaux with his own people."
"Alright."
After hanging up the phone, Jacob left the balcony and saw that Olivia dressed up and was about to
leave.
"You're leaving?"
Jacob hugged Olivia, wanting to kiss her. But Olivia covered his mouth with her hand.
"It's Samuel?"
"Yes."
"You are leaving again?"
"Yes."
Jacob felt that Olivia's expression changed. He hurried to tighten his arms and said, "How about
traveling with me?"
Olivia didn't expect that Jacob would invite her, so she became happy again.
"I'm not going. Samuel must have given you an urgent mission. Even I go with you, we have no time to
travel. And I have to assist you. I don't want to be tired. You just hurry back after finishing your work.
And I still have to record songs. Michael has urged me several times."
Seeing that Olivia was in a good mood, Jacob heaved a sigh of relief.
"You scared me. If you don't forgive me, I can't sleep at night."
"Get off! I don't believe it. By the way, can you do me a favor while you're away?"
Jacob naturally agreed to Olivia's request.
"Tell me."
"Help me find Karina."
"Karina?"
Jacob frowned slightly. He found this name familiar, but he could not remember who it was.
Olivia whispered, "Booth told me from abroad that she was well treated and that she can walk on the
ground for rehabilitation. However, it will probably take another year and a half for her to recover
completely. He mentioned Karina. She is the sister of Maddie. She came to our family before. But after
Elvis killed my family, she disappeared. I was so sad that I didn't even think of her. Booth asked me to
find her. Can you help me?"
Jacob patted his chest and said, "Don't worry, I will find her for you."
As he spoke, Olivia's phone rang.
