Looking towards the direction which the bearded man was pointing at, Nicole and Laurence arrived at
the southernmost room of the black market.
The room was very old and mysterious, but Nicole saw the pattern of the Lycoris in the room.
She frowned slightly.
Laurence clearly saw it as well.
He whispered, "Are you still going in? Maybe this is the stronghold of RT organization. Morgan has
lured you here for some unknown purpose. Now, if you are in any danger, I can't help you in time."
"How do I know what Morgan is planning if I don't go in?"
Nicole's eyes flashed with a trace of sharpness.
"Wait for me outside. No one can enter without my order."
Nicole's words immediately made Laurence retort.
"No, I have to follow you."
Nicole saw the persistence in Laurence's eyes and knew that he was stubborn. She sighed and said,
"Follow me in. Everyone else, stand by."
"Okay."
Laurence arranged for the people outside.
Nicole pushed open the door of the room.
There was no one inside, only Morgan.
Seeing Nicole, Morgan was not surprised at all and said indifferently, "You made it here."
"You took all the trouble to bring me here. If you have anything to say, just say it. We are old
acquaintances, so there is no need to equivocate."
Nicole found a place to sit down and looked at Morgan. She asked indifferently, "Sam kidnapped
Joseph. Does it have anything to do with you?"
"No, I treat Joseph as my child. Even if you and I turn against each other one day, I will not harm
Joseph."
Nicole was content with Morgan's words.
"I trust you. If you don't hurt Joseph, I can forgive what you've done to me, but only if you don't want to
kill me."
"No, I don't dare."
After Morgan finished speaking, she glanced inside and whispered, "The person who wants to see you
today is Ms. Sally, not me."
Nicole paused slightly.
Sally?
For some reason, Nicole was a little nervous.
"Why do you choose to meet here? Didn't you say that you would go to Country F?"
"Country F is not safe. Ms. Sally is easy to be traced. This place is different. This is a black market.
Anyone can come here to buy things. Although there are different kinds of people here, it will be easier
for us to hide."
Morgan's explanation made Nicole silent.
Nicole thought for a moment and said, "Is the information guy one of yours?"
"Yes."
"Let's go in."
Nicole stood up and said to Laurence, "You stay."
"But..."
"Stay!"
This time, Nicole was exceptionally resolute.
Seeing this, Laurence couldn't help but hesitate for a moment before staying behind.
Morgan did not go in either. She only whispered, "Go straight down the corridor for about one hundred
meters and turn right. That's the room."
Nicole took a deep breath and directly walked in.
Following Morgan's instructions, Nicole arrived at the door of the room.
This was an antique room, but Nicole was a little nervous.
She took a few more deep breaths and suddenly pushed open the door.
The room emitted a faint fragrance of sandalwood.
A middle-aged woman knelt in front of a shrine in the middle of the hall, chanting the Buddha Dharma
in a low voice.
When Nicole saw that familiar figure, she thought for a moment that Audrey had been reborn.
"Mom."
She voluntarily shouted and quickly regained her senses.
Audrey was gone. No matter how similar the person in front of her was to Audrey, she wasn't Audrey.
A trace of sadness flashed through Nicole's eyes.
When Sally heard the voice, she turned around. Her face, which looked like Audrey's, almost made
Nicole burst into tears.
"Nicole?"
Sally called her gently.
Nicole tried her best to suppress her emotions. She smiled and said, "Is there anything Ms. Sally wants
me to do?"
Sally's body suddenly trembled, and a trace of astonishment flashed through her eyes.
However, she was immediately relieved.
"I have no choice but to ask you to meet me here. Please don't take offense."
"Why are you looking for me?"
Nicole didn't want to get emotional with her.
Sally was Edwin's eldest daughter. She looked almost identical to Audrey. However, modern
technology was so advanced that it was not impossible to have the same face as Audrey's. Before
formally confirming Sally's identity, Nicole did not want to get emotional.
An emotional person could get hurt easily.
She was hurt once by Mr. and Mrs. Bush. She did not want to be hurt again. She wouldn't want Edwin
to be hurt either.
Sally was somewhat surprised by Nicole's reaction and attitude towards her.
"Kid, you probably don't know who I am, do you?"
"I know, you are Zayn's mother. It is said that you are also my aunt and my mother's twin sister. But
what does it have to do with me?"
Nicole's calm words and attitude embarrassed Sally.
"Perhaps I was a little rushed to meet you, but I just want to see my niece too much. Can you
understand my feelings?"
"To be honest, I don't understand. If you want to see me, there are plenty of opportunities. You had a
chance when my mother was alive, but my mother was gone. You came to see me because you knew
I'm Samuel's wife, right? Or perhaps Morgan told you that how important I am to Samuel, and I have
the Dons and the Shaws as my backer. You want to see me because of those things, right? The reason
you chose to meet me at such a time is probably related to Zayn, isn't it?"
Nicole's calm words made Sally lost for words for a moment.
"Kid, do you have any misunderstandings about me?"
"I don't think so. It's just a matter of fact. If you want to talk about family, at the very least, you have to
convince me that we share the same blood. This isn't just a paternity test report. You're smart. I'm sure
you know what I mean."
After Nicole finished speaking, she turned around and whispered, "Ms. Sally, I hope we won't become
enemies. We haven't seen each other today. My husband is still waiting for me at the base. I'm
leaving."
After saying that, Nicole left.
This time, Sally did not stop her.
When Nicole came out, Laurence hurriedly went over to her.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm alright. Let's go back."
Nicole didn't even look at Morgan and led Laurence outside. She only whispered as she passed by
Morgan, "Remember what you said. Don't hurt Joseph. Otherwise, I will hunt you down. Even if RT
organization is powerful, I will let all your people die with him. I will do what I said."
After saying that, Nicole left.
Morgan frowned slightly and quickly walked in.
"Ms. Sally!"
"She's too cautious, cold, and intelligent. Can you believe it? From the moment we met, I only said
three or four sentences, and she did almost all the talking."
Sally smiled bitterly. Looking at the sunshine outside, she seemed to say to herself, "She said that if I
wanted to talk about family, at the very least, I had to make her believe that we shared the same blood.
Family is warm, but it's beyond reach."
Morgan stood aside and said nothing.
After a while, Sally glanced at her and whispered, "Send our people back. Nicole is right. It is indeed
shameless for me to suddenly show up and want her hard-earned connections."
"But what about Mr. Zayn..."
Morgan frowned slightly and hesitated to say anything.
Sally sighed and said, "If he wants to get that position, he will have to rely on himself. I want to stay
here for a few days. Arrange it for me"
"Alright, Ms. Sally."
Morgan also left.
After Nicole came out, she wasn't in a hurry to leave the black market. Instead, she walked around and
bought some gadgets before taking the car back to the camp.
When Samuel woke up, he could not find Nicole and was so anxious that he almost drove out. As soon
as he went out, he saw Nicole come back with several bags of gifts.
"Were you out shopping?"
"That's right. What's wrong? Are you unhappy with me spending your money?"
Nicole looked at Samuel mischievously.
Samuel suddenly smiled helplessly.
"How is that possible? We have nothing but money, countless money. If you don't spend it, then what
should we do about it?"
"Darling, I love to hear that. Do you know what kind of man is the most handsome?"
Samuel was slightly stunned, somewhat puzzled.
"The man who pays for the bill is the most handsome! So, you must go out with me later. It is said that
the diamonds here are quite good. I want to buy some back and give some to Olivia and the others. At
least, they can prove that I have been to Africa, right?
Nicole's excuse for shopping made Samuel suddenly laugh.
"Are you tired?"
"Of course. My feet hurt. Can I ride on your back?"
Nicole looked at Samuel expectantly.
Samuel sighed and crouched down.
"Come on up."
Nicole jumped onto Samuel's back, and her hands wrapped around his neck. Samuel's earlobe felt her
warm breath.
"Darling, have you had enough sleep?"
"Tell me if you need anything. Don't tease me. Stay away from my ears."
Samuel felt his entire body trembling.
'What a naughty little girl! Just wait for me. There will come a day when you will beg for mercy.'
Samuel thought to himself.
Nicole leaned against his neck and kept breathing around his ear.
"I won't."
"Nicole, have you heard of a saying?"
"What?"
"The happier you are when you make trouble, the sadder you will be when you take the
consequences."
Samuel put it a bit seriously, even softly, but it made Nicole shiver a little.
"Don't threaten me."
Nicole curled her lips and stopped teasing Samuel.
Samuel finally relaxed his tense nerves.
The two were so intimate as if there was no one else around them. The soldiers of the military region
looked at them and were so jealous that they couldn't get their eyes off the two.
Samuel's eyes suddenly turned cold.
"You need more training, don't you?"
After hearing Samuel's words, the soldiers ran away.
Nicole suddenly smiled and said, "Right, Darling! When are you going to confess your love to me on
the street in women's clothes?"
Samuel froze.
Why was this woman so obsessed with this? She hadn't forgotten.
Seeing this, Nicole hurriedly said, "I can tell you this. If you don't fulfill your promise by tonight, I may
not allow you go to bed from today onwards. It's your call."
