Ernesto was stunned.
How could this be?
“Ma’am, is there a mistake?”
“The injuries on my body were caused by her and I saw it with my own eyes. Are you saying that I’m
mistaken?”
Her voice was mixed with some coldness.
Now she was anxious as her son was missing. She knew there was no way she could blame him, but
only he knew something about Alison.
Ernesto didn’t think it was a mistake anymore at this point. His mood was somewhat heavy.
“I know Alison has a house here, but I don’t know if anyone is living there right now.”
“Give me the address.”
This was a clue for her.
Ernesto insisted on going along with Nicole, perhaps because he didn’t believe that Alison would do
such a thing, or perhaps because he was afraid that Nicole would get hurt.
Nicole didn’t think much and drove to Alison’s house with him.
He owned the key to her house. This made Nicole feel surprised.
When they walked in, she looked at the teacups in the living room and the water in them was still hot.
This meant that someone had been here just now, and they just left when the two of them opened the
door.
Apparently, Ernesto had noticed it too.
“Alison, are you there?”
He quickly searched through the house while Nicole stood in the middle of the living room, looked
around, and felt someone looking at her. She said, “Alison, I don’t care who you work for or who you
are, I just want to know the whereabouts of my son.”
The house was silent as if no one was present, but Nicole knew that she was there.
“Alison, I’ll not ask or say anything. I just want to know the whereabouts of my son. You’ve been with
my grandpa for so many years and now he suffered from a stroke because of my son’s missing. Are
you sure this is what you want to see?”
In the dark, Alison clenched her hands tightly and she was struggling. She covered her ears as she
didn’t want to listen to Nicole, but the more unwilling she felt to listen, the more clearly she heard her
voice.
“When you were with me, I wasn’t mean to you. If you’re not satisfied with me, you can tell me, I can do
what I can, I’ll try to do something even if I can’t, okay? I’m a mother and a woman too, you should be
able to understand my feeling right now. I beg you, Alison.”
Nicole’s voice kept entering her ears.
Ernesto couldn’t help but felt somewhat angry as he couldn’t find Alison even though he had searched
everywhere.
“Alison, come out! What is your purpose since you contacted me last time? Was it to take away
Ma’am’s child? Even if our relationship was just an exploit, can you please let me know at least?”
Alison felt that her heart was about to be torn apart.
She took a deep breath and finally walked out.
The moment Nicole saw her, she was excited.
“Alison.”
“Ma’am, I’m sorry that I can’t tell you the whereabouts of the young master, but I can tell you that he is
safe and fine.”
What she said made Nicole squint.
“I’m the child’s mother, I want to see my son.”
“I can’t make the decision.”
“Then let the person who can make the decision talk with me!”
Her attitude was forceful.
When he heard Alison say that, he knew what Nicole said was true.
Alison had really betrayed him.
“Why? Alison, you tell me the reason!”
As she faced his questioning, she turned her head and bit her lower lip without speaking. However, her
eyes were filled with tears and entanglements.
She looked guilty as she looked at Nicole’s injured shoulder.
“Ma’am, you’re injured. It’s better to go back and rest early. I’ll take care of a young master.”
“Are you planning to keep my son locked up for the rest of his life? Why? It is because he’s blue-eyed?
But someone in our family’s ancestry was a foreigner. This can be examined, my son is normal.”
Alison knew what Nicole said, but she really couldn’t do anything about it.
“Ma’am, please go back.”
“Alison, you’re going to stand against me in the future, right?”
It was the last time Nicole looked at her and asked with her sharp eyes.
Alison bit her lower lip and didn’t answer or refute, but her attitude had implied her meaning.
“Who is the person behind you?”
“Ma’am, please go back.”
Nicole could realize that she wasn’t going to say anything.
She was thinking about whether to take Alison.
She believed that she was able to get any clues if Alison was arrested.
As she was thinking, Ernesto suddenly struck out at Alison.
Alison also didn’t expect that he would make a move and she was slightly flabbergasted for a moment.
She was caught off guard by his direct attack.
“Don’t move!”
His strength was so strong, so she couldn’t break free.
Nicole noticed the pain in his eyes, but she still said ruthlessly, “Take her away!”
He carried her and walked out.
At the moment they opened the door, a bullet came directly towards Alison.
He pushed her away at the critical moment and took the bullet.
The bullet hit his chest and the bright red blood immediately stung her eyes.
“Ernesto!”
She lunged forward crazily, but Nicole yanked her, quickly held her down, and rolled towards the
corner.
A fusillade of bullets grazed the ground.
Alison’s eyes turned red directly.
“Bastard!”
She knew that the bullet would have gone into her chest without his protection.
The other party wanted to kill her!
He moved back a few steps, found a cover, and sat down. He looked at her eyes and said sadly, “Who
are you working for? You really want to keep being like this?”
Alison was biting her lower lip and stammering, but her eyes were already filled with tears.
“You don’t force me anymore!”
“Am I still forcing you when I am like this? Alison! Can you think properly?”
He coughed up continuously because he was too agitated.
Nicole frowned slightly when she saw this scene.
She had no idea how many people were outside, but obviously, they would only become targets, or
even no one would be able to walk out of here if three of them stayed here any longer.
What to do?
Nicole looked at his injury. If too much blood was lost, he would die!
She hurriedly called Trevin Harper and ordered the people of Night Elf Empire to come to their rescue.
However, before they came, they needed to save themselves.
But once she let go of Alison, she might take advantage of the opportunity to escape.
On the contrary, if she didn’t let go of Alison, she wouldn’t have a chance to save Ernesto.
When she was in a dilemma, Alison suddenly spoke.
