Joseph could not take another bite.

He was still a kid!

Why did they do it in front of him?

"I'm going to the restroom!"

Joseph stood up, but Nicole grabbed his arm.

"Wait!"

Nicole was afraid Joseph would disappear again as before. She wouldn't let him go alone.

She said to Samuel, "You go with Joseph."

Samuel was kissing Nicole, but Nicole pushed him away. He was unhappy about that.

Joseph said, "It's fine. I'll go with ... with him!"

He pointed to a person beside Samuel.

That person couldn't stand Samuel and Nicole either, so he agreed, "Yes! Let me go with Mr. Joseph!"

Nicole refused, "Don't bother. I'll go."

Nicole then was about to get up, but she heard Samuel say, "Ernesto, go with Joseph. And send

Joseph upstairs to rest."

"Yes."

Ernesto came out of nowhere.

It had been a long time since Nicole saw Ernesto.

She felt that Ernesto had changed a lot. He was sharper and calmer.

Seeing Ernesto coming, Joseph heaved a sigh of relief and left with him.

Those women looked at Nicole again. They were somewhat envious.

Nicole felt a little uncomfortable under such a gaze.

"I need to go to the restroom, too."

"I'll go with you then."

Samuel stood up.

Nicole's face flushed.

Why did he say that? Couldn't he see what's going on?

Samuel really didn't know what he should do.

Nicole glared at Samuel and left.

Samuel didn't care about others. He just wanted to be with Nicole.

When Nicole just got into the corridor of the restroom, Samuel hugged Nicole and pressed her against

the wall.

He carried a smell of alcohol.

"Stop."

Nicole's heart was racing and she was a little flustered.

Samuel's eyes retained their melting quality, making Nicole sink.

"I want to kiss you."

"You have done that before."

Nicole was a little shy.

But Samuel was not satisfied, "That was not a kiss. Nicole, you are so cute. I want..."

Samuel whispered. His voice carried a kind of magic power. Nicole felt herself out of control.

"You're going to tease the newlyweds, remember?"

"It's still early."

Nicole knew what Samuel meant.

"It's daytime. People will gossip!"

Nicole's face was burning.

She could feel Samuel's hand swimming on her body. She felt a little hot.

"We're legally married. What are you afraid of?"

Samuel immediately picked up Nicole.

They went upstairs from the backyard and got into their bedroom.

Samuel closed the door and kissed Nicole passionately.

Clothes were taken off, scattering from the door to the bed.

Nicole lay on Samuel's chest tiredly, panting, "You should control yourself a little bit."

"I can't when I see you."

Nicole's face burned again.

"We are the hosts today. We shouldn't disappear like that. I'm going to take a shower. Let's go down

then."

Nicole thought that others would wonder why they hadn't come back for so long.

Samuel wrapped around her waist. He smiled and said, "Why? Aren't you tired of that boring banquet?

It's not our wedding. No one will care about us. Without us, Tim would get more attention."

"But I'm worried about Major's people..."

"Don't worry, they won't be able to enter the Shaw's. Besides, my people and yours are hard rocks.

Just relax and get some sleep. You were tired."

Nicole was a little shy.

"I said that you should control yourself!"

Nicole said with pouting smile. She then yawned.

She had been worrying about the wedding process. But now, there was no problem anymore. She

suddenly felt exhausted.

It made Samuel's heart sore.

"Get some sleep. I'll call you when it's time to tease the newlyweds."

"You are going?"

Nicole thought that Samuel was just joking. Hearing that, she was a little surprised, but she was really

too sleepy to think about it.

"Why not?"

Nicole ignored him and changed to a comfortable position to sleep.

Nicole was sleeping soundly in his arms. Samuel gently placed her on the bed, then walked out softly

and went to the study room.

He turned on his computer and typed out a code. Not long after, Lucas appeared on the screen.

"How is it?"

"It's fine. I think I can go home tomorrow."

Lucas was exhausted, and there was sadness in his eyes.

Seeing his son like this, Samuel's heart ached.

"I'm going to hold a wedding with your mother tomorrow."

Samuel did not plan to tell Lucas until he heard that Lucas would come back tomorrow. He didn't want

Lucas to worry.

Lucas was stunned.

"Do you need me to be there?"

Lucas was clear about who he was.

Although Samuel loved his children, Lucas knew that Dad still wanted to spend time alone with Mom.

Lucas knew clearly about this. After all, Samuel and Nicole were the ones who meant to spend their

lives together.

Samuel suddenly smiled, "You don't have to. It's just the wedding of me and Nicole. Eight years ago, I

married her and the whole city knew. But at that time, I didn't see my heart clearly. I didn't marry her for

myself. Now, I just want to give her a wedding that only belongs to us."

"Alright."

Lucas rubbed his temples.

Samuel asked, "Is the situation bad at the base?"

"I can handle it. Grandpa Mark is there. With him, I can relax a little."

Lucas and Samuel talked for a while. Samuel understood the current situation in the army. He

whispered, "After tomorrow, you should have a good rest. Don't worry about anything. We'll talk about it

after the New Year."

"Alright."

"And let someone bring Zoe back. Of course, if she doesn't want to, don't force her. Emory is being

investigated. The Cawker family is in a hard situation. Zoe and Nash are getting along well. Staying

there can be a little comfort to them. But we must always respect Zoe's wishes."

Hearing that, Lucas frowned slightly.

"Zoe should left the Cawker family."

Lucas was worried.

He was young, but he knew a lot.

How could Samuel not know?

Although Zoe usually looked careless, Samuel knew that she was a very independent girl.

"Then talk with your sister. You can't force her, OK?"

"I see."

They chatted for a while and Samuel hung up the video.

He then called Ernesto.

"Mr. Green?"

"How about the things I asked you to prepare?"

Ernesto stunned, then he smiled and said, "It's ready."

"OK. Keep an eye on the banquet."

"I know."

Samuel then went to bed. He hugged Nicole and closed his eyes contentedly.

The banquet was still bustling with activity. No one dared to say anything when Samuel and Nicole left.

After all, the main character today was Tim.

The banquet lasted until six o'clock in the evening.

Everyone who came to the banquet had two meals at the Shaw's.

Edwin was happy today and drank a few more drinks. He was a little drunk and was helped back to his

room by Steve.

"Mr. Shaw, I'll have someone make you a cup of tea."

Steve was a little worried about Edwin.

But Edwin refused and asked Steve to leave.

He took out a picture frame from the drawer, in which was a picture of himself and Laurel.

They looked young.

Edwin's eyes were a little wet.

"Laurel, did you see that? Your grandson, Tim, got married today. He married the daughter of the

Mason family. She's beautiful. But you cannot see her."

As he said this, tears came down.

"Laurel, I miss you. I miss you so much."

Edwin covered the photo on his chest. He felt great pain.

All the past events, good and bad, rushed into his mind like a movie.

He could still remember the first time he saw Laurel. She was beautiful and bright, and he never forgot

her.

Now that he had everything, but his beloved was gone. Facing the empty room, Edwin regretted it.

Why did he let her go?

Martha was not his daughter, but so what?

How many days had he spent with Laurel during his life? How many times had he cared about her?

Mr. Shaw fell to the bed with that photo in his arms, and tears streamed down.

Nicole and Samuel were sleeping soundly, however.

Nicole woke up from hunger.

Looking at the time on her phone, Nicole knew that the banquet should be over.

She stretched a little bit, and Samuel woke up.

"Hungry?"

"Sure."

Suddenly, a knock came from the door. They were a little surprised.
