"Ysabel? Why are you here? Did something happen to Fill?"

That was Nicole's first thought.

Ysabel shook her head and whispered, "Fill let me come to get his stuff."

"What is it?"

It was Samuel who asked.

He had been dissatisfied since Ysabel hurt Fill. But after he knew who Ysabel was and what Fill was

going to do, Samuel did not want to embarrass her.

After all, Ysabel would be Fill's wife.

Ysabel was very afraid of Samuel.

Samuel was different from Fill. He carried the inhospitality in his bones, which held people off. It was

terrifying for Ysabel.

Fill appeared cold and aggressive, which left others feeling too intimidated to approach. But Ysabel

could accept it.

Hearing Samuel's question, Ysabel couldn't help but take a step back and murmured, "I don't know. He

told me to go to his bedroom to find a jade pendant with an eagle on it."

Samuel's face immediately went an ugly green and his tone became harsh.

"He told you to come to get it?"

"Yes, that's right."

Ysabel wondered if she said something wrong since she noticed Samuel didn't look well. She was

getting an aggressive vibe from him.

She swallowed and quickly hid behind Nicole.

Nicole was also a little surprised by Samuel's changes in mood. She couldn't help but ask, "What's

wrong? Isn't it just a jade pendant?"

Samuel looked at Ysabel meaningfully. Without a word, he left with Nicole.

Just as he left, Ysabel almost lost her balance.

She was so scared.

Samuel was even more frightening than Fill.

She prayed they would never meet again.

Ysabel thought as she quickly ran inside.

Samuel was silent all the way.

Nicole knew he had something on his mind, but she didn't ask. Samuel was just like this. When he was

ready to say, he would say. Before that, he wouldn't say even if Nicole asked.

Soon, they arrived at the hospital Fill was in.

Samuel opened the door and walked in.

The nurses and doctors were changing Fill's dressing.

Nicole stood at the door and did not enter, but Samuel said coldly, "No need to change. Anyway, he will

get hurt again. It's rather superfluous."

Noticing his angry tone, Fill was stunned. He looked up into Samuel's cold eyes and smiled bitterly,

"What did you say? Look like I owe you a lot of money."

"There is more than money."

Samuel said seriously.

Fill's smile froze and then he whispered, "Did you see Ysabel?"

"Are you going to hide it from me? Why did you ask her to get your jade pendant? I said that this jade

pendant can make one wish come true. Are you going to use it on her? Don't you know how dangerous

your work is? This pendant can save your life at a critical moment. How can you waste it on Ysabel?

You think I'll kill her, right? We have been friends for so many years, but you still think I am

unreasonable."

Samuel was both angry and sad.

Fill hurriedly said, "No, boss. I didn't mean to make you let her off. You know me well, so you know

what I will do. No matter what, Ysabel is already my woman. I can't change it and I don't want to. You

are good to me, so you will let her go for me. But she hurt me and my friends, so I owe them an

explanation. "

Perhaps because he had said too much in one breath, Fill coughed a little.

Samuel paused for a moment. Then he took a glass of water beside him and handed it to Fill.

"What do you have to explain with the jade pendant?"

"Everyone knows the jade pendant means a lot to me. Ysabel made a mistake, so she deserves the

punishment. But she is my woman. I have to take the blame for her. Even so, I'm afraid they will make

things difficult for her behind my back. So, I intend to give her the jade pendant for protection."

Hearing that, Samuel looked better.

"Well, as long as it's not used on me."

"No, my life is precious. I have to protect my wife and children. So, I can't waste the only chance."

Fill smiled faintly as his heart softened.

Samuel suddenly felt the old Fill was coming back.

Ysabel wasn't Whitney but Whitney's younger sister. The moment Fill slept with Ysabel, perhaps he

had made the decision.

He wanted this woman.

This was what Fill was like for Samuel. Fill always knew what he wanted and where he was headed.

Samuel patted Fill's shoulder and whispered, "Be careful. Don't go too far. Oh, right, Nicole and I are

leaving. Lucas will stay. Remember to take good care of my son."

"You're leaving? Where are you going? Did you plan to leave so early?"

Fill thought he could get some rest after Samuel came. Besides, he was still sick.

However, he never expected that Samuel would leave so early, so he felt a little dissatisfied.

Samuel was a little embarrassed, but he had no choice. "I'm sorry. If you can't handle it, you can find

someone to help."

"Who can help me?"

"Mr. Morty's people."

Samuel's words froze Fill to the spot.

"Who?"

"Morty. He called me and said that we can work for him secretly and he will deal with the rest for us."

Samuel put it indirectly, but Fill understood.

Was Fill tempted?

He didn't know but he got a slight twinge in his heart.

After being banished for so many years, he suddenly had the chance to return. Even his profile would

be encrypted. This was so familiar and exciting that he seemed to see Whitney smiling again.

Whitney looked gently at Fill and said, "Fill, welcome home."

Fill's eyes suddenly grew moist.

He suddenly pulled the quilt over his face and said in a deep voice, "I will think about it. Travel safe.

Goodbye."

"Take care of yourself. Text me when you get married. No matter how far away I am, I will come back."

Samuel knew Fill did not feel good but he did not want to force him. So, he patted him on the shoulder

and then left.

Nicole did not say anything. After walking out of the ward with Samuel, she whispered, "Fill seems to

be quite emotional."

"Well, he has always wanted to visit Whitney's grave. Unfortunately, he has never been qualified. But

now if he agrees, his life will not change and he will earn the right to enter Martyrs' Cemetery and pay

tribute to Whitney. This is a rare opportunity."

Samuel held Nicole's hand tightly.

It was just nice to hold Nicole's hand. Thinking of what happened to Fill, Samuel was more determined

to grasp this happiness.

Nicole could feel Samuel's strength, but she didn't say anything.

As they walked hand in hand on the road, Nicole suddenly wanted to go to the courtyard in the

suburbs.

"Let's go to the courtyard. I really like it."

"OK."

Samuel would not refuse her any request.

When they returned to the courtyard hand in hand, the melodious sound of the violin rang in their ears.

Nicole stopped involuntarily.

"There's actually such a good violinist here."

Samuel knew Nicole liked the violin.

He stood beside Nicole and listened to the great violin riffs. The violinist was really good.

Nicole seemed to be immersed in it and kept swaying to the rhythm.

Samuel liked to see Nicole like this. She was as pure and innocent as when he first met her in college.

The violinist finished playing.

Nicole suddenly wanted to see the violinist.

"Samuel, is the violinist a man or a woman?"

"A young man."

Hearing that, Nicole was slightly stunned.

"Why?"

"The timbre is good, but he was not playing hard enough. It indicates his lack of stamina."

Nicole curled her lips slightly and asked again, "Then how do you know he is young?"

"I guessed."

Nicole gave a little start and then laughed out loud.

"Mr. Green, you actually need to guess?!"

"Of course. I'm just an ordinary person. You want to go to see him?"

Samuel seemed to be able to read Nicole's mind.

Although Nicole did not show much interest in music, Samuel knew Nicole was always passionate

about good things.

Hearing Samuel's question, Nicole nodded vigorously.

"Then let's go."

Samuel held Nicole's hand and walked towards the opposite side.

There was only an old butler. Noticing Samuel and Nicole coming over, he was a little surprised. When

he learned that they were looking for the one who was playing the violin, the old butler said, "Oh, it's

our young master. Our master is not here. The young master is here to practice the violin. He will

participate in the youth violin competition in a month, so he probably won't have time to see you. Sorry."

The old butler was not from the Seapolis City, nor did he care about the celebrities in the financial

circle. So, he didn't know Samuel. For the safety of his young master, he politely rejected Samuel and

Nicole.

Nicole was a little disappointed, but she did not force him.

Just as Samuel was about to say something, Nicole tugged at his sleeve and shook her head.

Noticing that Nicole did not want to cause trouble, even though he was angry, Samuel could only leave

with Nicole.

"Wait!"

Just then, a childish voice came from inside and Nicole and Samuel immediately stopped.
