"Can't you let me at least imagine it?"
Nicole was amused.
She knew that Samuel wanted to spend some relaxing time with her, but sometimes he had to solve
some problems even when they were away. Moreover, Tim was nowhere to be found now. The person
who poisoned the Masons with bugs wasn't found out yet. Their enemies were hiding in the dark,
waiting to launch an attack. The peace they enjoyed now would end in no time.
Nicole and Samuel couldn't be free from this shit.
She gently patted Samuel's shoulder and whispered, "I'm afraid Morty is determined to bring Molly and
Michele back to Capital City. But I heard that his father has already decided on a candidate for his
bride. There will be another tension once they are back."
"It's inevitable, but Morty might stay here for another two days."
Samuel knew Morty best, and so he knew that he couldn't stay out of it. But the last thing he wanted
was to give up the chance to stay with Nicole, so he suggested, "Maybe I can call Steven for help."
Nicole said, "Steven is very busy right now. He may not be able to get involved too much, but he may
be able to help us restrict those people's freedom."
Her words made Samuel smile.
"That's right. Let's enjoy our trip first. We still have another day, right? This tour group seems fine. We
can talk about it later."
"Okay."
Nicole didn't mind.
Samuel called Steven and asked him to help restrict the freedom of the Bells.
Steven was aggrieved and said, "You're really good at keeping me busy. Do you have to ask me to deal
with an ordinary family? I am not the boss of a gangster."
"Well, you're the only person I know in Country Y. Besides, you're one of my best buddies. Who else
can I turn to?" said Samuel.
"Yeah, I'm so 'lucky' to be your buddy."
Steven hung up without waiting for Samuel's response.
Samuel found Steven's words quite familiar.
After thinking for a while, he remembered them to be the words he said to Morty. They all thought alike.
No wonder they could become friends.
Samuel did not feel guilty at all and went sightseeing with Nicole after hanging up.
Nicole was having a good time. She had taken part in all the activities she hadn't had the chance to try
before. She felt sweet and happy when she was boating on the lake with Samuel.
She took a lot of photos and short videos with her phone then posted them.
Having seen these photos and videos, Zoe admired the carefree life of Nicole very much.
She sent a text to Nicole, which said, "Mommy, don't make me envy anymore! Otherwise, I will ask
Uncle Ernesto to book a flight for me and come find you immediately. So please be more low-key,
unless you want me to interrupt the romantic time between you and Daddy."
When Nicole saw the text, she instantly shielded Zoe from reading her posts.
Zoe immediately found out that she was shielded.
She was so sad about this.
Nicole didn't care if her daughter was sad or not. She and Samuel went to see a lady boy performance
in the border area.
Those lady boys were even better looking than real women, making Nicole extremely surprised.
She asked, "Are they really lady boys? Can I touch them?"
Samuel was jealous.
He said in an upset tone, "Are you serious?"
Nicole felt a chill because of his cold voice and hurriedly chuckled and said, "I was just thinking."
"Don't you think about it! Besides, are they better looking than me?"
Whatever Nicole answered, Samuel would not be pleased. Therefore, she chose to avoid the question.
"It's incomparable. How can your handsomeness be compared with these performers' kitsch beauty."
"Cut the crap, let's go!"
Samuel had no interest in this kind of thing. If it wasn't for Nicole's insistence on coming, he wouldn't
have come with her. He had already spoiled her by allowing her to come. She would have gone too far
if she touched them.
"What is she going to do after touching them? Sleeping with them?" Samuel thought to himself?
...
The more he thought about it, the more he felt that it was a stupid idea to let Nicole come here.
When Nicole heard that Samuel wanted to leave, she quickly tugged at Samuel's sleeve pitifully and
said, "Come on, let's stay for a while. The tour guide said that there will be a wonderful performance
later."
Samuel said beside her ear, "I'll show you whatever you want to see when we get back to the hotel."
"What?"
Nicole was shocked.
'Does he know how to perform as a lady boy?
If he did, that is really impressive.'
However, she did not dare to ask now. She was carried away before she could continue to ask Samuel
to stay a little longer. She could hear women screaming and people paying for touching the lady boys
or checking if they were real.
Nicole was so envious.
If she had known this, she wouldn't have brought Samuel with her. She couldn't be more upset.
Samuel seemed to be able to see through Nicole's thoughts and became even angrier.
"I'm warning you, don't watch these kitsch shows anymore. Or you'd better watch out."
Nicole pouted and did not say a word.
Sometime in the future, she would come back and experience it alone. She wouldn't be under his
watch then.
While she was planning in her mind, she was carried out of the performance hall and back to the tour
bus by Samuel.
The bus driver was a little surprised to see them for it was way before the due time and no one else
had come back yet.
"Why are you here? It's time for the show."
"My wife is having a stomachache, so we give up watching the show and come back to take a rest."
Samuel lied without hesitation, and Nicole despised him so much.
"Well, I don't even know that I have a stomachache." she thought.
...
She pinched Samuel's back where the driver couldn't see her movement. She didn't let go until she
saw that Samuel frowned and said, "Honey, I'm not feeling well. I may feel better if I can have
something delicious."
Seeing her behave so childishly, the only thing Samuel could do was to sigh and say, "What do you
want to eat?"
...
Samuel felt that Nicole was becoming more and more like Zoe. She had tasted all kinds of snacks and
fruits since they began to travel.
He would like to let her enjoy whatever food she wanted if it wasn't for her bad digesting. He didn't want
her to fall ill again. But Samuel decided not to stop her now that she was so happy.
Nicole saw a cheesecake seller not far away and said, "I want to eat cheesecake."
"Wait on the bus. I'll go get one for you."
Samuel put her in her seat and got off the bus.
Among the crowd, she could easily recognize him. He was always the most outstanding one. She
couldn't keep the smile off her face.
She felt as if she had become the young girl who was madly in love with Samuel again. She had never
felt better.
Nicole stopped looking at him before it turned spooky. She looked through the posts and was even
more pleased when she saw her posts were liked by many people.
Suddenly, she heard an unbearable, ear-piercing sound of car tires rubbing against the ground.
She looked around to find where the sound came from and saw a Bentley running amok as if it was
chasing someone.
"Chasing others in a Bentley. This guy must be rich." Nicole thought.
Nicole was about to look down at her phone again when she suddenly realized that the person being
chased was a bit like Evelyn.
"But Evelyn can't be here, can she?" she thought.
...
She wasn't sure.
It had been many days since Tim called her last time. And she hadn't received any news about Evelyn
and the Mason family all this time.
"If that's her, why is she here?" Nicole thought worriedly.
Nicole immediately stood up and said to the driver, "Sir, would you please tell my husband I'll be right
back when he returns? Thanks a lot."
Nicole jumped out of the bus and ran towards the person who looked like Evelyn.
They moved so fast that Nicole couldn't catch up on foot. Therefore, she rented a car and drove
towards them immediately.
The driver of the Bentley seemed to be deliberately playing with Evelyn. Every time he came close to
Evelyn, he would make his car brake sharply. The ear-piercing sound made when braking caused a lot
of mental pressure on the person being chased.
Nicole was still doubting whether that person was Evelyn or not until the person fell on the corner.
Nicole saw her face clearly and was confirmed that this person was indeed Evelyn.
"It is her!" Nicole wondered, "But why has she become so thin?"
...
Nicole was a little confused, but she did not hesitate and directly drove towards the Bentley.
The driver of the Bentley didn't expect that he would be crashed into by another car, so he was not
prepared and directly hit on the billboard by the roadside.
Nicole did not dare to waste another minute. She immediately accelerated the car while the Bentley
was stuck and drove in front of Evelyn.
She quickly opened the car door and shouted, "Get in!"
Evelyn was slightly surprised when she saw Nicole. However, the Bentley had started again. She didn't
have time to consider it and jumped into the car.
Nicole stepped on the accelerator again after Evelyn got in the car. However, her car was just an
ordinary one and was not as fast as a Bentley. The distance between them was gradually shortened.
"How can we get rid of it?" Nicole thought anxiously.
However, to her surprise, Evelyn pulled out a gun, opened the window, and shot at the Bentley.
The impact of street shooting was very great, and the entire street became panicked and noisy. Nicole
was also shocked, but she didn't have time to ask.
Evelyn behaved so differently from her image in Nicole's memory that Nicole thought if she had saved
the wrong person. She heard Evelyn say in a low voice, "Nicole, there's a church on the right and you
can get off there. They want me. If you stay, you'll get yourself in trouble."
Nicole was touched. Under this circumstance, what Evelyn thought was to keep her away from trouble.
She remembered that Evelyn was suffering from depression because of what happened between her
and Tim. Other women would hate and curse her, but Evelyn considered her even in such a dangerous
situation.
"Evelyn!"
"Hurry up and do as I say. I can't win you much time. You can't be here on your own. Is Samuel
around? Please go get Samuel and save Tim. He's at this address!"
Evelyn hurriedly handed a note to Nicole. She had escaped to save Tim. Alone, she was too weak and
her chance to save him successfully was small. But God had heard her pray and let her run into Nicole.
No matter why they were here, as long as Nicole and Samuel could help, Tim would have a chance to
be free.
They soon arrived at the entrance of the church. Evelyn gave Nicole her gun and opened the door on
Nicole's side. Regardless of whether Nicole was happy or not, she pushed her out of the car.
She didn't push Nicole hard, and the car had lowered the speed. Able as Nicole, she could keep herself
safe when she fell off the car.
