"What did Samuel say?"

Nicole wanted to clear her mind. After all, Daisy was assigned by Samuel. There was no need for

Nicole to hide the secret from her.

Daisy was stunned for a moment and asked with doubt, "Ms. Bush, do you mean this is Mr. Green's

decision?"

"Isn't that so?"

It sounded that Samuel had nothing to do with it.

"I haven't heard Mr. Green mention this before. I'll confirm it first."

Nicole knew from Daisy's words that it had nothing to do with Samuel. Thinking about their awkward

relationship not long ago, Nicole hurriedly said, "No need. I'll talk to him myself. Give me the phone

number of Zayn's manager."

Nicole was the boss of the filmmaking company, while Daisy being the director. If Nicole could go

personally, she could show more respect to him.

After all, she was flattered that a popular star would sign a contract with her small company.

Daisy gave Nicole the number of Zayn's manager and asked, "Ms. Bush, why don't I go with you?"

"No need. I'll talk to him myself."

After hanging up the phone, Cara came back from shopping.

"Mrs. Green, are you going out?"

"That's right. Follow me if you're free."

Satisfied with Cara's image, Nicole hurriedly made a request.

"With pleasure."

Although Cara didn't know why Nicole brought her along, she trusted Nicole and agreed.

They straightened their clothes and went out.

Cara offered to drive.

Nicole checked Zayn's information sent by Daisy on her phone.

Zayn made his debut three years ago and was currently a movie star and singer. He hardly

encountered any difficulty and had zero negative news.

But there was little information about Zayn's background.

Nicole frowned slightly.

Zayn was either a normal person with no background, or a man with a powerful background so that no

one could find out anything about him.

Nicole would rather believe in the latter.

If he had a powerful background and had been successful these three years, why would he suddenly

want to contract with a small obscure company?

If it wasn't because of Samuel, then the reason behind was worth pondering.

Nicole called Zayn's agent and made an appointment.

She would figure it out at the meeting.

The car stopped at a club.

Nicole booked a single room and went in with Cara.

Since Zayn was busy with work, they had to wait for an hour. Nicole didn't complain. After all, he was a

famous star and worth waiting for.

Cara quickly brought Nicole a cup of tea.

"Mrs. Green, have some tea."

"Just call me Nicole outside home. I kind of put you down for a home assistant. From today on, you can

be my assistant at. Feel free to tell me what salary you want."

Nicole took a sip of tea and said indifferently. But Cara was startled.

"Assistant? Mrs. Green, no, Nicole, are you saying that I can be your assistant?"

"Not good?"

"Yes, it's such a good thing!"

Cara hurriedly accepted the offer, afraid that Nicole would regret.

When Nicole saw Cara's trust in her, she felt warm in her heart.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll go bankruptcy one day? Then you would wish to be a nurse"

"Impossible!"

Nicole was satisfied with Cara's confidence.

"To be my assistant, you need to learn how the company operates. Then you can start your work."

"Alright, Nicole."

Cara adapted quickly.

Nicole killed time by sending messages to Olivia about something interesting. She also sent Ashley a

message, asking how she was doing.

She felt that this kind of life was quite fulfilling. But she still had a sense of emptiness sometimes.

When she heard footsteps coming from outside, Nicole knew that Zayn's manager arrived.

Nicole gave Cara a look.

Cara quickly stood up and walked towards the door.

When the door opened, a middle-aged man in his thirties came in, looking pretty smart.

"Hello, Ms. Bush. My name is Pedro Albert. I'm Zayn's agent. I'll discuss with you about Zayn's

cooperation with your company."

"Hello, I'm Nicole Bush!"

Nicole shook hands with Pedro.

They sat down. Cara poured a cup of tea for Pedro.

"Thank you."

Pedro politely nodded at Cara.

Nicole looked at Pedro. He seemed to be sensible and decisive. She asked, "Pedro, right? I have a

question for you. I wonder if you can give me a satisfactory answer."

"Ms. Bush, just say it."

"Why sign a contract with our company? As far as I know, Zayn have many resources. There is no

need for him to work for any filmmaking company. He is a popular star. Any particular reason for

signing with us?"

Nicole asked directly.

It would be good to settle the matter now.

Pedro smiled as if he knew that Nicole would ask the question, "Ms. Bush, you are right. Zayn does not

need to sign with any filmmaking company. Zayn will be successful enough with the resources we bring

to him."

"Then why..."

"To be honest, I don't know either."

Pedro smiled helplessly and said, "Maybe Ms. Bush won't like the answer, but this is the truth. Zayn

suddenly said that he wanted to sign a contract with your company. He didn't want to tell me the

reason. He just said that Ms. Bush could set the terms of the contract. If possible, he will give some

resources to your rookies and even bring them to variety shows. He will help as long as Ms. Bush

needs."

Nicole frowned again.

Zayn had never take rookies to shows since debut. Everyone in the entertainment industry was aware

of it. Moreover, Zayn was a cold person and never shaped a warm character. His cold temperament still

attracted a lot of die-hard fans.

Now, Zayn wanted to sign with her film and offered to help rookies and share resources. To Nicole, it

sounded too good to be true.

Nicole was no longer an innocent woman she was five years ago. She knew that there was no free

lunch.

She pondered for a moment and asked, "What is Zayn's requirement for us?"

"None."

Nicole frowned again.

"I need to think about it. Pedro, do you mind?"

"Of course not. If Ms. Bush wants to sign the contract, just call me at any time. I've drawn up the

contract. Do you want to take a look first?"

"No need for now."

Nicole refused.

This was a good thing, but too good to be true. Nicole was especially cautious.

After Pedro left, Nicole sat in her chair, trying to figure out what was going on.

Cara looked at her and said, "Nicole, is it Mr. Green's idea? They didn't give us any reason. I don't think

anyone else would be willing to lose money when doing business."

Nicole thought so.

She held the phone in her hand and hesitated what to do.

What happened last night was simply too awkward. Was she really going to say something to Samuel?

However, she had to be positive for the sake of her company.

Nicole thought for a moment and called Ashley.

"Ashley, do you know Zayn?"

"The movie star Zayn?"

Ashley had just finished an operation and her voice sounded a little tired.

"Yes."

"I think so. We met once. I've treated his mother before."

"So he wants to sign the contract with us for your sake?"

This was the most reasonable reason that Nicole thought of.

Ashley was stunned.

"What do you mean? Signing the contract with you? Zayn? I didn't say anything."

Ashley did not seem to lie. Nicole frowned.

"Not for your sake?"

"Of course not. Although I'm kind to his mother, I can't plead a big star go to a small company that you

just started, right? Besides, does he still need to sign a contract with a filmmaking company with all the

resources on hand?"

Ashley's words left Nicole speechless again.

This was where she got confused.

"Isn't it because of Samuel?"

Ashley thought like her.

Nicole was more confused.

"I'll call him and ask."

"It's better to open your hearts to each other. I think Samuel really love you, so I don't believe he will

cheat on you. Talk to him in a nicer way, and maybe you'll get the answer you want."

Ashley always sorry for the couple's divorce.

Nicole didn't know how to tell Ashley about that night. She simply agreed with her advice before

hanging up the phone.

If it wasn't Ashley, did she really have to ask Samuel?

Thinking of Samuel's influence, Nicole finally dialed the familiar number.

Nicole didn't expect to receive a call from Nicole. He hesitated for a moment, not knowing if Nicole was

about to scold him. But he quickly answered it anyway.

"What's up?"

"Do you know Zayn?"

Nicole quickly mentioned Zayn. She was afraid of slipping out of tongue what happened last night.

Nicole was slightly stunned.

"Who is Zayn?"

Samuel's words stunned Nicole.

He was never a liar.

If Zayn had really been recommended by Samuel, he wouldn't have asked this question even if he was

reluctant to admit it. However, he asked about Zayn's identity so bluntly. Nicole somehow felt terrified.

"Didn't you recommend him?"

Samuel understood what Nicole meant.

He hurriedly asked Ernesto to investigate everything about Zayn. Then he said in a low voice on the

phone, "I will send you a detailed document after I figure out what happened."

"Alright, thank you."

Samuel was surprised by Nicole's words.

Last night, they slept together. Today, they were like the most familiar strangers.
