"Tim?"

Nicole never thought that the person calling her would be Tim.

She hadn't seen Tim for a long time. Back then, they left because of Evelyn's illness, but now, she

didn't know how they were.

"Tim, how's Evelyn?"

Nicole asked subconsciously, but noise came from the other side, and the phone was soon cut off.

When Nicole called again, the phone was actually unable to be got through.

She was a little uneasy.

Tim hadn't called her for a long time, but when he suddenly called, it was actually like this. What was

going on?

Nicole dialed a few times but didn't get through. She couldn't help but want to talk to Samuel about this.

Just as she got up, she remembered that Samuel went to see Morty.

He went to ask about Davon.

It was not good to have so many brothers, for there were so many things to deal with.

Nicole thought gloomily, and she could only hold it back.

When Samuel found Morty, Morty just finished playing the game. He lay lazily on the bed, feeling very

comfortable. Even when he heard someone enter, he did not get up. Instead, he said, "By the way,

please pour me a glass of water. I'm thirsty to death."

"You can die of thirst. You're addicted to the game and like a rebellious teenager. You don't even drink

water. If outsiders know this, no one will believe that you are the famous 'Mr. Morty'."

Although Samuel was nagging, he still poured a glass of water for Morty and handed it over.

Morty got up and drank all the water in one gulp. Only then did he feel much more comfortable.

After drinking, he lay down again.

"I'm just 'Morty' here. Who wants to be 'Mr. Morty'?"

Samuel kicked him, sat down on the bed, and said, "You've been here for more than a month. Are you

really not planning to go back? Mr. Hill didn't send anyone to look for you?"

"We're friends. Please be frank. It's not your style by circling around."

Morty rolled his eyes at Samuel, and then sat up. He felt that his body was about to rust.

Although this kind of life was good, it was a waste of time.

He couldn't help but stretch himself.

Samuel looked at him and asked, "How much do you know about Davon?"

"I don't know much more than you do. Basically, I know everything you know."

When Morty said this, Samuel's face became a little gloomy.

"Is he one of your people?"

Morty rubbed the back of his head and was a little irritated. "How should I define it? He's my man when

I fight against my father. Normally, he is himself."

"Morty, I'm serious."

This was the first time Samuel said to him in such a serious tone.

Morty knew that he was angry.

He looked at Samuel and said, "I have a promise with him that we will do one thing for each other in

this lifetime. As for me, I'm in a high position and very powerful now. There's nothing I need help. Even

if there is, I still have you and Blair by my side, so I have always kept this promise in my heart. Thus,

we tell each other that no matter what, we must live until we achieve our promises. If anything happens

and threatens our lives, we can contact each other through our own special channels."

This was the secret between Morty and Davon, but Samuel had done so much for Davon and was

obviously angry now, Morty decided not to hide it from him.

Hearing what he said, Samuel did not relax.

"So what you are doing for him is to conceal any information that he is alive, right?"

"Sort of. My father has sent a lot of people out, including some of my people, so I can influence them."

Morty did not object.

Samuel did not want to talk about politics with Morty, but since they had mentioned this, he asked, "Did

you come here because your father wants you to find some clues here?"

"You are right."

Morty did not deny it.

Lying down again, he looked at the ceiling and said, "Living in a family like mine, every minute of my life

is filled with schemes. My father and I are the same. He's probably been using your relationship with

me since he was objected to making you isolated. I've been here for so long, and he hasn't even asked

me to go back. He must have hoped that I can find something here. Moreover, those people don't dare

to approach your two sons since I'm here. Just let me protect their safety before the matter is settled. I,

Mr. Morty, have actually become your guardian. I'm the one who should be unsatisfied. How can you

feel injured and wronged?"

Morty felt sadder as he said it. He directly kicked Samuel.

"Get up! Not every man can lie on my bed!"

Samuel paused for a moment, and then smiled.

"Don't worry. I'm straight, and I have a lovely wife. You've suppressed yourself for five to six years,

right? Is it still working?"

Morty's face darkened as he heard this.

"You want to give it a try? Great! I don't mind doing it with a man."

Samuel stood up and quickly walked away. He pursed his lips and shouted, "You can try that. Maybe I'll

send the video to someone. I just don't know if she still has feelings for you after seeing your current

situation."

These words made Morty silent. For a moment, he fell into thoughts. His gaze was so complicated that

Samuel could not understand it.

He sighed, "Are you really not going to see her?"

"Why should I do that? Why should I pester her since we have no future? Isn't it good to just keep

those best memories in our heart? If I go see her, the only thing waiting for her is death. Sometimes,

loving someone isn't about having her, but letting go."

After saying that, Morty stood up and lit a cigarette. The smoke surrounded him, making him cough.

Samuel felt distressed and whispered, "It's good if you can think it through."

"If you have the time to care about me, why don't you go find out what's going on with your son's eyes?

It's been more than a month. You don't seem worried about this at all."

Morty couldn't stand the smell and put out the cigarette in its hand.

Samuel whispered, "Grandpa hasn't contacted Tim and we don't have any other choice now. Besides,

Eaton did another physical examination. All the data is normal, so we don't have anything to worry

about."

"But to Aron, he will never forget Laurence. His blood exists in Nicole's body, and now Eaton has blue

eyes. He will definitely think about this every day."

"I know, but my conscience is clear."

Samuel still looked frank.

Morty laughed. "I really like the way you talk nonsense."

"I'm telling you the truth."

"Bullshit! When you spoke for Davon, you have the same expression!"

Morty didn't believe him at all.

Samuel finished talking about Davon with him, so he didn't want to waste time here. He said

indifferently, "Hurry up and leave if you have enjoyed yourself. Don't stay here and play games all day

long. Isn't there a game room in your house? What about giving you one?"

"No, I need a game companion. Why don't you lend me your son for a few days?"

"Impossible!"

Samuel rolled his eyes at him. He was about to turn around and leave when he heard Morty say, "I'm

serious. I really like your son. Lend him to me for a few days."

"My son is not a toy! How about I let Joseph stay with you for a few days?"

As soon as Samuel said this, Morty waved his hand.

"Come on. Joseph doesn't like me and I have to have diarrhea if he stays with me. I can't stand it. Your

second son is cute and he plays games well. The most important thing is that he doesn't talk too much

and is a good companion for me. I want to adopt him as my son, okay?"

Morty said in an evil tone, which made Samuel roll his eyes at Morty.

"Scram! You can give birth to your own if you want."

"Don't you see that I don't have a life? Besides, even if I will have a woman in a political marriage, I

won't like the child she gives birth to. I really like Lucas. Think about it."

"No way."

With that, Samuel directly slapped the door. Then he saw Lucas walking this way.

"What are you doing?"

Just now, Morty said that he wanted to adopt Lucas. Lucas even didn't have any sense of crisis! He

actually came to see Morty so actively!

Lucas did not know why Samuel was so angry, but when seeing him coming out of Morty's room, Lucas

said, "I come to play games with Uncle Morty."

"Do you have to be in the same room to play games? Aren't you two playing on mobile phones? Go

back to your room and avoid seeing him from today onwards."

Samuel's words confused Lucas.

"Samuel, what's wrong with you? Are you at your menopause?"

Samuel almost choked when hearing this. This brat really dared to say anything.

"Do you dare to say that again?"

"What are you yelling about? Don't let Mommy hear you or scare my little brothers."

Lucas was not afraid of Samuel. And Samuel suddenly wasn't angry anymore.

Lucas had been back for more than two years, and now he was not afraid of him at all.

"I'm telling you. The person inside is a scoundrel. He is thinking about how to deceive you. Don't be so

stupid and ignorant."

"I know. He wants me to go to the Capital City and live with him for a while."

Lucas said it out loud, and Samuel's expression immediately changed.

"If you know...."

"Samuel, I think it's a good choice."

Lucas' words really hurt Samuel.

Samuel couldn't believe that he was hurt by his son.

"Lucas, what do you mean?"

Seeing that Samuel's eyes were moist, Lucas hurriedly said, "Daddy, listen to me."

He would only call Samuel Daddy when he needed to flatter him. Samuel felt even more

uncomfortable.

"You're my son! Now he wants you to be his son! Am I not worthy of being your father? Are you eager

to leave me? Then should I change your surname and let you take his surname? "

Samuel felt wronged as he said this.

Although he didn't spend much time with Lucas, Lucas was still his son. Didn't this brat know that blood

was thicker than water? Or did he feel that his father's current social status was inferior to that of Morty,

so that he wanted a better development?

Samuel's pair of moist eyes scared Lucas.
