"Oops, that was not right. I have to remake my move."
Seeing that he was going to lose, Edwin started to cheat.
"A real man makes moves without regrets, Mr. Shaw."
Steve was a little helpless.
"What real man? I'm just an old man. It doesn't count. It's still my turn."
Edwin took back the piece, and then reconsidered for a while before he placed it. However, it was still
captured by Steve.
The final result was obvious. Edwin lost the game.
"I quit. It's so boring. I'm going to sleep."
Edwin acted like a baby, which made Steve laugh.
After everything went quiet, only the snowflakes outside slowly fell, and a few unknown figures
flickered.
Nicole felt refreshed when she woke up at ten o'clock in the morning. She followed Samuel's
suggestion and entrusted Claire's demand to Ernesto.
Samuel went to the kitchen early in the morning and fried an egg for Nicole.
Tim saw it and said, "Will you fry another one for my wife?"
"Do it yourself."
With that, Samuel brought the fried egg into the room.
Before Nicole brushed her teeth, she saw Samuel enter with the fried egg.
"It smells good."
"Wash up and eat. I still have millet porridge stewed. I'll go down and serve it for you."
Samuel smiled faintly.
"Aren't we going down to have breakfast?"
Nicole asked in confusion.
"Let's eat here. There are many people down there."
Nicole wanted to laugh at Samuel's words.
However, she did not object.
After Nicole quickly washed up, she and Samuel ate their meal in the bedroom.
It had been snowing all night, and it didn't seem to stop.
Nicole looked through the window. The thick layer of snow outside made people feel so cold.
"I wonder how Lucas is doing. Would his second personality would take over him tonight? What if in the
military compound..."
"Stop thinking about it. He's fine."
Samuel's arms were around Nicole.
He knew that Nicole was worried about Lucas, and he was, too. But Lucas was his son, there was
definitely someone to take care of him in the military compound.
Nicole did not say anything else.
Joseph was still reading medical books in the room.
Nicole suddenly remembered something and asked, "Did you take the medicine Joseph prescribed for
you on time?"
"Of course."
"Have you gotten sick again?"
Nicole knew that Samuel would sometimes hide it from her when he got sick, so she stared at Samuel.
"No, not lately, really."
Samuel smiled and tightened his hug.
Nicole felt warm all over. Looking at the snow outside, she smiled and said, "I really want to go out,
make a snowman and have a snowball fight."
"Your body won't allow it."
Samuel directly rejected.
Nicole pouted, but Samuel did not compromise.
Knowing that he did this for her own good, Nicole did not complain. After dinner, she turned on her
computer and had a video chat with Daisy.
The company was on holiday, and she gave Daisy a very generous bonus.
The company's revenue under Daisy's leadership was good these days. Although a few artists weren't
famous, there wasn't any negative news and their resources were great.
Olivia's album had made a hit. Recently, her singing could be heard everywhere.
Nicole was happy for her. Nicole really didn't know if she would come back for the New Year.
Thinking of this, Nicole called Olivia.
"Are you coming back for the New Year?"
"Sure. Jacob said that he is missing Samuel. Well, everyone else is on guard against the other woman.
And I also have to watch out for men."
It was a total complaint, which amused Nicole.
"How is Booth? Any news lately? Will he come back?"
Ever since she sent Booth abroad for rehabilitation, she had not heard from him.
Olivia paused for a moment and said, "He's doing OK with rehabilitation, but he still can't stand for too
long. He asked me to search for Karina, but I haven't found her. I guess he won't come back."
"There is still no news about Karina?"
Nicole could still remember that girl. She was not much older than Maddie, and Nicole didn't know if
she had contacted Maddie.
"There is no news at all. It seems like she has vanished from the world, leaving no trace. Forget it. She
will probably appear when it's time."
Olivia sighed.
"Come back. Three days later, Tim will get married. Four days later, I will hold a wedding ceremony."
Olivia was stunned by Nicole's words.
"Holy shit! Just how many times does Samuel want to marry you? I'm so jealous."
"Are you jealous? Then marry Jacob!"
Olivia sighed and said, "Neither of us has parents, so we don't want to have a wedding. We can
celebrate our marriage by travelling around later. I'm a public figure now, and it's not good if my
marriage gets too much attention. We just need to enjoy our own happiness."
Nicole suddenly felt a little regretful.
"How about I help you with the wedding?"
"There's really no need. Jacob and I just want a simple wedding. Everyone wants a different wedding.
What I want is to have fun traveling with him."
Hearing Olivia's words, Nicole couldn't say anything anymore.
They talked for a while and hung up.
The days were temporarily calm.
In the blink of an eye, it was Tim's wedding day.
On this day, Nicole woke up early in the morning. She was very excited, but Samuel directly pressed
her down on the bed.
"Close your eyes."
"My cousin is getting married today. I have to help."
Nicole struggled, only to find that Samuel's hug went tighter and tighter.
"Samuel, let go! I have to get up. This is new to Tim and he doesn't know anything."
"It sounds like you've been married many times."
Samuel muttered, letting her go reluctantly.
Seeing that she was excited for other men, although there was no love, Samuel still looked very
unhappy.
Nicole didn't care about his pettiness. She opened the wardrobe, changed into a beautiful set of clothes
and put on a light makeup.
The longer Samuel looked at her, the worse he felt.
"You're even wearing makeup!"
Nicole was speechless.
"Please, I'm his cousin. Why can't I put on makeup? Besides, I put on makeup for you. If I'm pretty,
others would say you're lucky, right?"
Nicole coaxed Samuel, and Samuel became relaxed.
"Don't wear yourself out. We're going to hold our wedding tomorrow."
"I see."
Nicole nodded.
Samuel felt bored to lie on the bed alone, so he got up.
"We can play tricks in bridal chamber today."
"Yes."
Nicole thought that Samuel was just talking. After all, with his personality, he wouldn't do it personally.
After everything was done, they went downstairs.
Edwin was extremely excited today.
"Nicole, what do you think of my outfit?"
For Tim's wedding, Edwin had specially made a Tang suit. He looked hale and hearty.
"Grandpa, you're so handsome."
Nicole laughed.
Tim was a little nervous.
"Why haven't you left yet?" Samuel asked.
Samuel thought of Tim as an eyesore because he was handsome today.
Tim scratched his head and said, "My best man hasn't come yet."
His best man was Tim's comrade-in-arms. Nicole didn't know him very well, but Samuel knew him.
"Does he not want red packets anymore?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the best man came.
"Sorry, there's something wrong with the car on the way."
"Let's go pick up my wife."
Tim's face was shining with happiness.
Samuel suddenly felt envious.
Nicole was really happy.
Tim was finally married.
The procession cheerfully drove out. Along the way, they played gongs and drums with festive music,
bringing joy and happiness to everyone in the Seapolis City.
Everyone was waiting and watching.
"Holy shit! Isn't this too luxurious? Who's getting married today?"
"Tim Louis, don't you know?"
There was a heated discussion.
"Tim Louis, no wonder. I heard that he is Samuel's brother-in-law. I don't know if that's true."
"What do you mean by that? It's the truest thing in the world. Nicole is his cousin."
For a time, Tim's wedding attracted much attention.
Evelyn got up early in the morning to dress up for it, her heart filled with joy.
She was about to marry Tim in front of everyone.
This long-awaited dream was finally coming true.
This felt excellent.
Evelyn couldn't stop smiling, moving the makeup artist.
"Ms. Evelyn, you will be Mrs. Louis from today onwards."
"Of course. Marrying Tim is the greatest dream in my life."
Evelyn looked at the bride in the mirror and couldn't help but feel very satisfied.
Grace walked over and smiled, "Congratulations, Ms. Evelyn. I am here to wish you and Mr. Tim a
harmonious union lasting a hundred years."
"Grace."
Evelyn's face immediately turned red.
"Look, our bride feels shy."
Grace was the first to laugh.
"Grace, you only make fun of me."
Evelyn said shyly, feeling happy.
The music came from outside.
"Mr. Tim's here. What a grand wedding. I heard that Mr. Tim asked his people to download the music in
all the wedding cars a few days ago. He said that he was going to play it out loud on his way to pick up
the bride today. Mr. Tim really likes Ms. Evelyn."
Grace's words made Evelyn even happier.
Every bride wanted her husband to be more considerate to her.
In the past, she was worried that Tim would not be able to move on, but she believed that he fell in love
with her.
Evelyn waited for Tim to arrive, and she got impatient.
Grace turned around and went out. Not long later, she came back.
"Has Tim arrived?"
Evelyn hurriedly asked, but Grace's expression was strange.
"Ms. Evelyn, something happened. Mr. Ethan is missing."
The news unsettled Evelyn.
