Zac was silent.
Samuel didn't say anything else. Time slipped by gradually, and they felt constrained.
Samuel didn't hang up the phone, as if he was waiting for Zac's final decision.
After about ten minutes, Zac spoke again.
"Mr. Green, can I do it myself?"
"Alright."
Samuel hung up the phone and continued to smoke, but looked depressed.
After Zac hung up the phone, he was heartbroken.
Zac looked at the piece of paper he picked up in the hospital over and over again, and his heart ached
more than he could bear.
Why was Petty?
Zac believed that Samuel didn't accidentally drop that piece of paper but directly left it to him to save
his face.
Zac parked his car by the side of the road and took a long pull on cigarettes before picking up the
phone and calling Petty.
"Where are you?"
Petty was taken by surprise when she received Zac's call.
"Have you got a cold? Why is your voice a little hoarse?"
"I smoked a cigarette."
Zac didn't hide it from Petty.
Petty heaved a sigh of relief.
"Why don't you care about your health? Don't you know what's going on with you? We're gonna have
children."
"Children? Do you mean you want to have my babies?"
A melancholy smile touched Zac's lips.
"Of course. What are you talking about? We're married. I'm going to have your babies. Are you nuts?"
Petty was very happy.
If possible, Zac really wanted Petty to stay like this.
Zac's eyes lit up, and he swallowed and said, "I remember you liked the seaside best, right?"
"That's right. What happened to you today?"
Petty was puzzled.
Zac took a deep breath and said, "Call someone to fill in. Come to the East Sea. I need to talk to you."
"What is it? Can't you tell me now?"
Petty didn't really want to go out.
"No!"
With that, Zac hung up the phone.
Zac looked at the piece of paper in his hand, and his eyes grew moist.
Petty!
Only now did Zac know that Petty's surname was Green!
Petty was Elvis’ biological daughter!
Petty was Samuel's cousin!
Why was that?
Why did Petty keep it from Zac?
Why?
Zac held the steering wheel tightly.
Zac loved Petty!
Zac really love her.
From being in the orphanage to being selected by Samuel and brought into the Green's, Zac betrayed
Samuel for Petty and did those things with Zama. Besides, Zac also straightened up for Petty and
worked hard wholeheartedly for Samuel.
But why only now did Zac know that everything was Elvis’ conspiracy? Since her childhood, Petty knew
who she was, what her mission was, and how she would use Zac to do more with less.
The information seemed all coincidental, but Petty's intention was very obvious when they were linked
together.
Petty had always been Elvis’ source, assigned to the Green's.
Zac felt like a fool being used by Petty, who still pretended to be innocent in front of him. Zac couldn't
tell how he felt, but he felt as if someone had gouged out a big hole in his heart and it was dripping with
blood.
Petty knew there was something wrong with Zac, but she still called someone to fill in and drove to the
East Sea.
It was a bit windy here.
After getting out of the car, she huddled down in her clothes, feeling a little cold.
In the distance, Zac was leaning against the car and smoking. He had left a lot of cigarette butts at his
feet.
Petty frowned slightly and quickly walked over.
"What are you doing? Do you wish to die from smoking like this?"
Petty took the cigarette from Zac's hand, threw it at her feet, and crushed it underfoot fiercely.
"Zac, what's wrong with you?"
Petty abruptly tugged at Zac's collar, only to see that Zac was in tears, which scared Petty.
Ever since Petty was a child in the orphanage, she knew that Zac was not a crier. No matter how tough
it was, Petty had never seen Zac cry so bitterly.
What's up with Zac today?
"Why are you crying? Didn't I just not allow you to smoke? I'm doing it for your own good. Besides,
we're going to have children. Cigarettes aren't good for you."
Petty's voice lowered a bit.
Zac hugged Petty tightly, as if he wanted to be one with her, and Petty almost lost her breath.
"Zac, what's wrong with you? You're hurting me!"
Petty struggled a bit, but still couldn't break free from Zac's embrace.
Zac's heart ached.
"Miss Green, did you really love me?"
"What are you talking about? I'm married to you. Of course I love you."
Petty couldn't help but smile.
However, Zac suddenly let go of Petty and stared straight at her. His gaze was so sharp and Petty was
scared.
"What's the matter?"
"I called you Miss Green just now, but you answered at once."
Hearing Zac's words, Petty turned pale right away.
"I, I didn't listen carefully. I thought you called me Petty. Yes, you called me Petty just now, didn't you?"
"You're still lying to me!"
Zac looked at Petty in disappointment, his heart aching unbearably.
Zac would rather he hadn't asked, but the truth was like a real slap on the face. Zac was pained.
Petty hurriedly stepped forward, wanting to grab Zac's arm.
"Zac, listen to me. I don't know what you're talking about. Did someone say something to you? Don't
believe it. I...."
"You are Elvis’ biological daughter. You are Miss Green. Why did you condescend yourself to be an
orphan and grow up with me? I gave you whatever you wanted from childhood. I tried to get it for you if
I didn't have it. I don't want you to feel bad. Isn't what I have done worth your true answer?"
Zac avoided Petty's hand, but he was extremely sad.
Petty froze.
When Petty looked at Zac's tears and the disappointment and sadness in his eyes, she was torn with
grief.
"How did you know?"
"Do you think you can hide anything from Mr. Green? You know what his bottom line is, but why did you
cross the line? You killed Gerry in the basement, didn't you? What a good daughter you're!"
"No, it's not what you think. I did it for a reason."
Petty couldn't stand Zac saying that to her. It was so harsh and Petty was heartbroken.
"For a reason? Yeah, you're Elvis’ daughter. You do whatever he tells you. When Zama told us to
betray Mr. Green when we were young, it was you who told me that you wanted to be the mistress of
your own destiny. I listened to you and went against Mr. Green, but how did it end? I was going to die,
but you told me that you worked for Mrs. Green and wanted to stay in the Green's. I didn't have the
guts but did what you said. Do you think I'm be good? I'll do whatever you want me to do, right? But
why didn't you let me kill Gerry? Why did you do it yourself? It would have been my fault if I had killed
Gerry. But why did you kill him yourself? Mr. Green won't let you get away. But you're his cousin! How
is Mr. Green going to kill you?"
Zac shed tears again.
Petty heard Zac's words and tears fell from her eyes.
"Zac, I can't choose my birth. I'm Elvis daughter, but I can protect you. Because I'm his daughter, I
should do this. It's precisely because I'm the Greens that Mr. Green will let me get away. If it were you,
you would really be finished."
"You're wrong. If you hadn't killed Gerry and crossed Mr. Green's line, Mr. Green might have let you off.
But you know better than me that Mr. Green definitely won't allow anyone to hurt Mrs. Green, not even
him, let alone you."
Hearing Zac's words, Petty was shocked, and then she forced a smile.
"So? I've been exposed and Mr. Green wants you to kill me, right? So you plan to kill me at my favorite
sea?"
Petty looked at Zac, her eyes swollen from crying.
So Petty came here to say goodbye to Zac forever.
Zac looked at the sea in the distance and whispered, "The sea is really good. It can wash away all of
your sins and soul. This is the only thing I can do for you. Fortunately, we don't have any children, so
you can rest in peace then."
"Zac, is that why you called me here? Kill me and then go curry favor with Samuel and Nicole, right?"
Petty cried with tears.
Zac said coldly, "Isn't that you chose for me? Didn't you swear to be loyal to them forever?"
"Well. Kill me if you can get a promotion in the Green's and make your future bright. I'll be happy to die
by your hands."
Petty took a deep breath and slowly closed her eyes.
Her tears hadn't dried yet, shining brightly.
Zac stretched out his finger and gently caught a drop of tear on the tip of his finger. Through the
sunshine, Zac seemed to see that Petty was so pure and happy with him.
Why did people have to grow up?
'If only we were children!'
Zac held the tear in his hand and sighed. He hugged Petty tightly and whispered in her ear, "Petty, I'm
sorry."
Petty felt even more grieved.
Petty wanted to push Zac away, but she couldn't bear it.
Perhaps it was the last time Petty hugged Zac.
Petty loved Zac.
Dying for Zac was nothing.
Petty let Zac hug her and indulged in feeling him. Petty wanted to remember Zac forever and never let
go even if she died.
Zac saw that Patty had no fear of death and suddenly cut her neck.
Petty instantly fell down slowly.
Zac caught Petty in time and carried her towards the sea. There was a speedboat with clothes on it.
"Take Petty away! Don't let her come back ever!"
Zac put Petty on the speedboat and said to the sailor with a look of affection in his eyes.
"Zac, what are you going to do after we leave? What are you going to tell Mr.
Green?"
