How could Nicole not understand?
This was the very first time Nicole had overcome her shyness in front of everyone. She hugged Samuel
tightly and whispered, "Trust me, I, Nicole, deserve you, Samuel. I want everyone to know that you
married me not for showing off my pretty face. I am a soldier who can fight with you. Making you feel
proud has always been my goal."
Samuel's eyes were a little moist.
"It's been hard on you."
"It’s not easy for everyone. Alright, let's drop it here. I got to go. I'll set everything up and wait for you
guys."
Nicole took the tracker from Samuel and kissed him on the face. But Samuel grabbed the back of
Nicole’s head and kissed her fervently.
Nicole could feel Samuel’s breathing, so could Samuel feel hers. Such a scene made all people on
spot feel their blood boiling.
Nicole pushed Samuel away, panting, then turned around and ran outside.
Samuel watched Nicole as she ran until she disappeared, with determination in his eyes.
"Guys, we are now in a foreign country. We don't have backup or support. We are the only ones to
complete this mission. We bond with each other. You are given three minutes to write your wills. It's the

All the soldiers shouted out as soon as Samuel finished talking.
This was a battle of defending the frontier of their nation, also a fight to win or die.
The blood of all the soldiers was boiling. They had put their lives on the line. It had been a long time
since Samuel had led the troops to battle. The current situation made him feel as if he had returned to
the age when his passion for fights was at its peak.
Looking at everything in front of her, Laurel understood why Leo and Jayden were doomed to fail.
Samuel's men all had their own beliefs. To live up to their beliefs and for the sake of their country and
people, they could risk everything at the cost of their lives. Although Leo had been reforming his army
using high-tech, his troop did not have faiths and was ill-organized. They were gathered together
because of Leo's force, not of their loyalties to Leo, the king of the country.
Undoubtedly, Leo was destined to fail.
This was the first time Laurel felt she made the right decision.
Standing on Samuel's side was the wisest choice. Unfortunately, she had not seen through all of this
early. Now, she could only end up lonely.
Nicole did not know what was going on here. Not long after she walked out, Laurel whispered,
"Samuel, I'll go with Nicole. I'm familiar with everything there. Although Nicole is capable of handling
this, she might be set up. Major is not simple. He is very cunning. We could watch each other’s back if I
go there."
Samuel paused at Laurel's words.
He was worried about Nicole, but he also worried about Laurel. Laurel knew this.
"I know you're worried about me, but please give me one last chance, okay? I promise I won't hurt
Nicole and will do my best to protect her. After all, she is your wife and the mother of your children. I
have let down your father and the Greens. I will not let you down before I die."
Laurel was very sincere when she said this.
Samuel frowned, but he still gave Laurel this chance.
Perhaps from Laurel's eyes, Samuel could tell that she was repentant.
Samuel nodded, and Laurel went after Nicole.
Nicole felt that there was someone behind her, and she was alert. When she found it was Laurel, she
was stunned.

Laurel’s answer made Nicole realize that Samuel was worried about her.
Well, the place Nicole went for belonged to Leo. Perhaps it was all right for Laurel to come along.
Nicole and Laurel arrived at the cabin very soon.
The cabin had been abandoned when Yanice left. It could be seen that Leo had lost his temper
because of Yanice's departure. Everything in the room had been smashed.
Nicole checked around quickly. She found that a couple of highlands could be used to snipe, but they
would make them exposed and targeted by the enemies.
Laurel discovered the same problem.
"I'll go to the highland. You hide down there. We'll cooperate. Major would not figure out."
Laurel pointed to one of the spots and said.
Nicole shook her head.
"No, I'll go over there. Although it would expose me, it's the best spot. As long as Major comes in, I'll kill
him right away."
Nicole knew that a good spot had to be in the highland. They could find somewhere else to hide, but it
may not turn out to be the best. Though the highlands may expose them, they could make it if they got
the right time.
Laurel knew this well. She was just concerned about Nicole's safety. But she also knew Nicole would
not change her mind.
She came to assist but not interfere with Nicole.
"Alright, then I'll find a place to hide. We'll take care of each other."
"Alright."
Nicole was fine with all this.
Not long after Nicole and Laurel hid themselves, Major came in with his men.
"Attention, there may be an ambush here. Watch out."
Major said this in low voice, but everyone heard it clearly, including Nicole.
Samuel's men hadn't arrived yet. They hadn't expected Major to come so quickly. It seemed that Major
took a shortcut. Unfortunately, Samuel wasn't familiar with this place, so he failed to get there earlier.
Major would know it was a trap if he came. He would not stay long. He cherished his life so much that
he would not expose himself to danger.
Nicole analyzed the situation. There was only one possibility. She killed Major the moment he came in.
However, it would expose her then. And Major would take her down.
Thinking of this, Nicole frowned, and the image of Samuel appeared in her mind.
If she died, what would happen to Samuel?
Probably Samuel would go crazy.
However, Samuel would think twice before he took any actions for the sake of his kids, Laurel and
Uncle Mark.
Nicole understood perfectly what Samuel might think.
Nicole's heart ached because of the possibility of being separated from Samuel forever.
Nicole had loved this man since college, then she married him and had his children. Never did she
regret it. Although there were misunderstandings between them, and she was scarred by battles, she
would feel happy rather than sad when she thought back to the time with Samuel.
Nicole had always known that there were many accidents in one’s life, but she did not expect that she
and Samuel had only been together for a few years, during which they had been separated for five
years due to misunderstanding.
Nicole had not spent enough time with Samuel, and she may leave this world forever before she could
talk with their kids again.
Nicole couldn't say that she had no regrets, but she knew well what she should choose between her
home and her country.
She was Samuel's wife, a military wife, and she was also the owner of Night Elf Empire. She had too
many responsibilities. Even if she was reluctant to part with her family, she could not miss the best time
to kill Major. Otherwise, once Major escaped, it would alert his men. Then Major and Leo would know
their plan. If it happened, it would be impossible for Jayden and Leo to fight with each other.

Nicole deserved Samuel and was respectable!

Laurel watched Major wander outside as he let his men go in first. She knew that Nicole could not

possible.
As long as Major entered the room, Nicole would grab the chance. If Nicole pulled the trigger, Major
would undoubtedly die. However, Laurel would expose herself at the same time, which meant that she
