"Take good care of yourself. You've only rested for a few days yet you are thinking about going out
now? Do you really think you're Iron Man?"
Nicole hurriedly refused and used Evelyn's health as an excuse.
Evelyn smiled and said, "I'm fine. I've recovered."
"I don't believe you."
Evelyn felt that there must be a reason for Nicole's strong opposition.
"What's wrong? Am I inconvenient for you?"
"Haven't you known it? Take a good rest in the Seapolis City. There will be plenty of time and
opportunities for you to go out. Don't be stupid now."
Nicole had no choice but to say so, afraid that Evelyn would ask about something else.
"Alright, I listen to you, okay?"
Evelyn couldn't say anything against Nicole's advice.
Tim came in with the soup. Seeing them chatting happily, he said with a smile, "When will Nicole be
back? Bring something delicious for Evelyn."
"Got it."
Nicole felt relieved to see that Tim was not in a bad mood. She thought that Ballard's death would
grieve him. Fortunately, Evelyn was with him.
"Tim, can I talk to you alone for a moment?"
Nicole blinked at Tim.
Tim looked at Evelyn. Evelyn smiled and said, "Just go. How can I be afraid that you'd do something
behind my back? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Nicole coughed.
She was a little embarrassed.
Tim took the phone with a grin and walked out of the room.
After getting out of Evelyn's sight, Tim stopped grinning. He looked at Nicole and whispered, "Is
something wrong?"
"Everything is fine. Don't be worried all day long."
Nicole's heart skipped a beat, but her face appeared calm.
Tim was Nicole's cousin.
Spending a long time with her, he understood Nicole's personality very much.
He whispered, "If nothing happened, you won't call us. Tell me, what happened?"
Nicole was a little upset.
Who knew her best in this world were Samuel and Tim.
"Tim, we caught Aaron, but he managed to escape. His identity is a bit suspicious."
Nicole quickly told Tim everything that had happened recently.
Ballard's death might have something to do with Major, but no one knew if Jayden was behind it. Tim
had the right to know the truth and only he could stop Evelyn from getting involved.
Tim frowned.
He didn't know that things would be so complicated. Now he understood Nicole's worries.
"You're afraid that Evelyn will encounter danger, right? And you're more afraid that he will be plotted
against by Jayden?"
"Yes, so Tim, take good care of Evelyn. I know that you have a grudge against Major and Jayden. I'll
take revenge on them for you, okay? Evelyn has a miscarriage and hasn't fully recovered yet. Who will
take care of her if you leave? Last time, Major was trying to seize the Mason family's voyage route.
What if something happens to the Masons after you leave? I'm not asking you to help us over there. I'm
telling you the truth to get you prepared ahead of time. After all, there are many people in the Seapolis
City who need your protection. Do you understand what I mean? "
Nicole was afraid that Tim would go to help them like before.
If Tim hadn't been married, he would definitely leave everything behind and go to help them. But he
couldn't do so now.
Nicole was right. Many people needed his protection now. Once he left, the Seapolis City would be
unsafe for them.
"Did you tell Jason about this?"
"Not yet. I'm going to tell Uncle Jason about this later."
This was Nicole's plan.
However, Tim whispered, "I'll tell Mr. Shaw and Jason about this. You don't need to make the call. What
if anyone is eavesdropping on your phone? After making this call, throw away your phone. Buy a new
phone and change your phone number as well. Don't tell anyone. Keep it to yourself. This matter is too
important. We must be careful."
This was Tim's experience.
Nicole was slightly stunned when she heard this, but she still nodded.
"Alright."
"Don't tell anyone about your future actions, not even me. I will be relieved that you have Samuel by
your side. That man would rather lose his life than letting anything happen to you. Just trust him
completely."
When Tim said this, he felt rather uncomfortable. Although he had put down his love for Nicole, he still
felt terrible to trust in Samuel as Nicole's cousin.
"Don't worry about the Seapolis City. With Mr. Shaw, Jason and me here, everything will be fine. If
anything happens, I can call Mr. Morty in Capital City, so don't worry about us. I will protect everyone
you care about, and I'll contact Jacob, too. Nicole, you must be careful. We'll wait for you to come
back."
Tim was much more mature than before. She wondered if it was because of his marriage or because of
Evelyn. Anyway, Nicole was still satisfied with the result. She called Tim to persuade him to stay where
he was. She thought that it would be difficult, but Tim soon took her advice.
Everyone grew up and constantly improved themselves for the people around them and for the people
they love.
"Tim, be careful."
"I will."
After hanging up the phone, Nicole thought a lot.
She still wanted to call many people, such as Laurence, Cara, and Ernesto. However, she knew that
Tim was right. In special times, she really couldn't be emotional.
After putting down her phone, she remembered what Tim had said and then went to find Samuel.
Samuel was talking to Emory. When he saw Nicole, he paused, got up and walked to Nicole.
"What's the matter?"
Nicole repeated Tim's words. Samuel nodded and said, "Emory and I have thought about this. We have
prepared new phones. I'm about to tell you."
Hearing Samuel's words, Nicole hurriedly asked, "Then what should we do with our phones now?"
"Throw it away."
Samuel didn't care about the phone at all. Compared to their safety, a phone was not important.
Nicole took away the other people's phones, and Samuel had them thrown away. Emory sent everyone
the military mobile phones. The phone numbers were random, and the phone had the radio function. It
was impossible for the outsiders to eavesdrop.
With everything arranged, Emory asked everyone to rest now and take a move at night.
Nicole did not know why he insisted on starting the operation at night. But since Samuel was present,
she did not ask.
In the remaining free time, Samuel held Nicole's hand and went outside. Looking at the scenery,
Samuel smiled and said, "If taking a close look, you'll find the scenery here really beautiful. I remember
you haven't paint for a long time, right? Do you still know how to draw?"
"Of course."
Nicole also felt keen on drawing a picture.
They found wooden strips together. Samuel made a drawing board for her on the spot, and then found
some paper and brushes.
Nicole looked at the scenery in the forest. The sun shone through the leaves. Samuel was covered by
golden light, looking illusory but attractive.
"Stay still."
Nicole suddenly had an idea.
She wanted to draw a sketch of Samuel.
Samuel immediately understood and paused. He grinned slightly and concentrated on being the model
for Nicole.
In Nicole's sight, Samuel had ethereal beauty that almost took away her breath. She felt unable to
show his temperament with a brush.
In Samuel's eyes, Nicole's serious expression was attractive. His eyes got soft.
Time passed by. They seemed to be absorbed into the quiet and gorgeous forest scenery.
When Nicole finished her last stroke, she happily said, "It's completed."
Samuel felt that his entire body was stiff, but he was especially happy in his heart.
"Let me see if I look ugly in your painting."
"What are you talking about? You don't trust me at all."
Nicole did not hear the praise she expected. Instead, his words frustrated her. She immediately rolled
up the drawing paper.
"Then don't bother take a look."
After saying that, Nicole turned around and left.
Samuel hugged her waist from behind and smiled, "Are you angry?"
"How dare I?"
Nicole pouted and lied.
Samuel's smile became gentler.
"I was wrong. I'd like to see if I look more handsome in your painting. May I?"
Nicole chuckled.
"Mr. Green, it's not good for you to change your words so quickly. You don't look like a CEO in that
way."
"I'm not a CEO to you. I'm just your man."
Samuel turned Nicole around and they were nose to nose. Nicole felt Samuel's warm breath and
somehow trembled. She was bewitched by a familiar feeling, a subtle heat rising through her body.
Nicole knew that she had a surge of desire.
She quickly pushed Samuel's chest and whispered, "What are you doing?"
Samuel was fond of her soft hands. He wrapped her small hands with his big ones, and whispered in
Nicole's ear in a deep voice, "I want to make love with you."
Nicole's face immediately turned red.
"Seriously? We're about to go to the mountain but sex is all you have in mind."
Nicole glared at him coquettishly, and she was immediately kissed by Samuel.
Nicole was almost immersed in the familiar feeling. Just as she was about to push Samuel away, she
heard the sound of footsteps coming from afar. They both suddenly froze.
