"Isn't he operating on Zayn on the plane?"
Nicole remembered the news she had got before she left. However, her heart skipped a beat when she
saw Mark's worried face.
"What happened?"
"I just heard that Davon's plane was attacked and crashed. I can't find them."
Mark was deeply worried.
Davon was William's only son, and William had never seen Davon. If something happened to Davon,
he couldn't imagine how William would react.
"I'll send someone to look for him."
Nicole froze.
Who had attacked Davon?
Leo wouldn't. And Santino didn't have the time and energy. Then who was it? Jayden?
Jayden wouldn't attack Davon if he wanted to be the king of Country F. Was it the spy in the hot spring?
Who was it?
Nicole turned around and was about to ask the people of Night Elf Empire to search for Davon.
However, Mark stopped her.
"I'll take care of it. You should bring Samuel back to Seapolis City now. I asked you not because I
wanted you to help me but because I thought you would know something helpful for my investigation."
Nicole listened to Mark.
Davon was important, but he also wanted Nicole to stay safe.
Nicole thought of Samuel's injuries and knew that she could not be willful. Then, she whispered what
had happened in the Sawyer's to Mark's ear.
Mark's face grew solemn.
"Don't you know who is the one that tried to kill you?"
"No. They are cunning. And the people they sent are all men of sacrifice. We can't find out anything."
"Why did you act so recklessly with such an unstable factor? Why did Samuel agree to do that?"
Mark was mad.
Tim couldn't stand Mark taking that tone with Nicole, but Mark was Nicole's uncle. Tim could only take a
step forward and say, "Mark, I would have done the same thing if I were there. There's no time to rally
more people. And they don't have many people in Country F. You and the army have withdrawn. They
are lucky to come back alive. As for Davon, I think he should know how to protect himself. He might be
unable to contact us at the moment."
"I hope so. You guys go back first. I'll go take a look."
Mark said and left.
Davon was the eldest of his generation of the Don family. Also, he was William's son. Mark didn't want
anything to happen to him.
Tim patted Nicole's shoulder and comforted her, "Don't take it to heart. Mark is just too worried about
Davon."
"I'm not jealous. Don't think that way."
Nicole laughed. She felt at ease seeing Tim.
"How are you feeling?"
"I feel well now. Haven't you learned everything you want to know? Don't talk about me. Let's talk about
you. You amazed me this time. My little cousin is so valiant."
Tim scratched Nicole's nose gently with his finger. Nicole frowned.
"My nose bridge was almost scratched off."
"Come on. Your nose is not fake. Let's go. I'll take you to see my wife. She misses you, too."
"Okay. I also miss her."
Nicole followed Tim onto the ship.
Samuel had arrived. Nicole saw Evelyn.
"Evelyn, you seem to have gained some weight."
Evelyn gave birth to a child one month ago. She gained 5 kilograms, but she looked ruddy.
Evelyn gave an angry glance at Tim, and then grabbed onto Nicole's shoulder and complained, "You
don't know how bad Tim is. He made me soup every meal and didn't put salt in it. I don't even know
how I have drunk it. After all, there was so much oil in it. If I didn't drink it, he stared at me. It's so
creepy."
Nicole burst out laughing.
"I think he is concerned about you."
"Come on. I don't want him to take care of me after my next childbirth."
Seeing Evelyn's dirty look, Nicole laughed. But Tim was a little upset.
"Am I that bad?"
"You know what you did. You can go. I want to have a good chat with Nicole."
Evelyn held Nicole's hand and was about to walk into the cabin when she heard Tim say, "You can chat
with her later. Samuel hasn't woken up. Nicole may want to check on him first."
"There's no need. Morgan and Jacob are being with him. He will be fine. Evelyn, are there any fruits on
the ship? We can eat while we chat."
"What?"
Evelyn was surprised and subconsciously turned her eyes upon Tim.
Tim was also dumbfounded.
What happened?
They knew how much Nicole loved Samuel. This time, Nicole and Samuel went through something life-
threatening together. Why was Nicole so indifferent? It was weird.
Therefore, Tim asked with hesitancy, "Nicole, are you giving Samuel the silent treatment?"
"He's lying there like a vegetable. How do I give him the silent treatment?"
Nicole was a little mean, and Tim was more certain that something was wrong between them.
"He just doesn't wake up yet. He's not a vegetable."
"So, my going there would not make any difference. Why don't I take this opportunity to chat with
Evelyn, right? What do you think, Evelyn?"
Nicole was smiling, but Evelyn still felt that something was wrong.
"Why don't you go take a rest? You must be tired, and you are injured."
Evelyn wanted to chat with Nicole earlier, but she didn't dare now. Nicole looked so angry with Samuel.
Although kind to them, Nicole was mean when talking about Samuel.
Evelyn didn't know what happened, so she felt that it would be better for Nicole to stay with Samuel.
Nicole did not refuse. Instead, she said, "Okay. I'm tired indeed. Nicole, do you have a cook on your
ship? Please get me some food. Also, I'd like to rest in another cabin. I'm exhausted and want to be
alone. Just bring the food to me when it's ready."
After saying that, Nicole just opened the door of the cabin beside her and walked in. Evelyn and Tim
were standing there with confusion.
The cabin was quite clean, and Nicole was not picky. She just lay down and closed her eyes. Maybe
she was too tired indeed.
Tim frowned and wanted to ask something, but Evelyn dragged him away. She also asked someone to
prepare some food for Nicole.
"Why are you dragging me? Nicole seems to be in a bad mood."
"I'm not blind. I can tell that. But Samuel is still unconscious. Nicole is exhausted and injured. Are you
sure you want to ask her what happened between her and Samuel now? Besides, she would tell you
before you asked if she could."
Evelyn looked at her silly husband and said.
Tim always lost her mind when it was about Nicole. He almost got angry when he learned that Nicole
was bringing Samuel, who was unconscious, to the high seas. He was in the middle of the
detoxification, and he pulled out the injection needle and began to make the arrangement.
Evelyn wasn't jealous. She just felt that Tim cared too much about Nicole sometimes. It might not be a
good thing for Samuel and Nicole.
Tim looked at Evelyn, who knew his feelings for Nicole in the past. He remembered how anxious he
was when he heard what happened to Nicole, so he said, "Evelyn, don't misunderstand. I care about
her just because she is my cousin."
"I know that. I haven't doubted your feelings for me. But Tim, there are some things we can't interfere
with. I know you're worried about Nicole. And So am I. But she is exhausted. Just wait until she wakes
up, okay?"
"Okay. I'll listen to you."
Tim nodded and went to their cabin with Evelyn while holding her shoulder.
The cook made the food and sent it to Nicole's cabin. Nicole was in a daze. She was indeed hungry, so
she just picked up the chopsticks and started eating. After finishing, she just lay down and fell asleep
again.
The battle in the sky was too much for her because she was already injured. If she didn't have a great
strength of will, she might not be able to hold on until she met Tim and the others.
Emory did not follow her. Instead, he was taking care of the next things.
Knowing that Nicole felt more relaxed. Besides, Samuel underwent a successful operation. She was
relieved all of a sudden, so she felt exhausted.
Nicole had been sleeping for a long time. Tim was worried and wanted to go take a look several times,
but Evelyn dragged him away. He was unable to suppress his worry, so he sent Morgan to check on
Nicole. Morgan said that Nicole was just too tired, and everyone felt relieved.
Samuel woke up the next day. He had returned to the Green's. Seeing the familiar room, he was a little
puzzled.
Seeing that Samuel was awake, Jacob hurriedly asked, "Mr. Green, how are you feeling? I'll call
Morgan over to check on you. She just went to rest."
Jacob was about to leave but stopped by Samuel.
"Where's Nicole?"
His memories were coming back. He recalled Nicole's angry face.
Nicole seemed to be really mad at him this time.
He didn't see Nicole, so he felt nervous.
He wondered that if she ran away from home because of anger.
Jacob didn't know what Samuel was thinking. When he heard Samuel ask about Nicole, he hurriedly
said, "Mrs. Green is resting. Morgan said that this action was too much for Mrs. Green. She's
exhausted and injured, so she's weak now. She has been sleeping since we were on the Mason
family's voyage route. It's been 24 hours."
"What? Where's Morgan? Is Nicole all right? Will it be okay if she keeps sleeping?"
Samuel tried to get up, but he couldn't because of his serious injuries. He even grimaced as his
wounds were twitched.
