Did something happen out of their knowledge?

The cemetery finally quieted down after the annoying people left. The funeral soon ended. The people

who came to pay their respects left one after another. Sage stood with the Yuriel family and bowed in

respect to the leaving guests. Sage blended in with them.

She stood here not as the Yuriel family’s daughter-in-law but as their daughter.

Grandpa Yuriel and Grandma Yuriel were old and exhausted after a long day standing. The members

of the Yuriel family had sent them home first.

The rain stopped as the cemetery became empty. Silence suddenly loomed over the place. There were

several bunches of white flowers in front of Jace’s grave. Sage gave him a bunch of white roses. She

squatted in front of the tomb and looked at Jace’s picture on the tombstone.

She raised her hand and stroked his photo gently. Tim, Kane, and the rest came silently and brought

Wayne along too. “Sage, don’t be so sad.”

The elder was dressed in a black suit with a pipe on his waist and a bottle of whiskey in his hand. He

came up and patted Sage on the shoulder. Sage turned around and looked at Wayne with her dry

eyes. She greeted him with a hoarse voice, “Grandpa.”

Wayne looked at Jace’s photo on the grave and breathed a heavy sigh. “This kid promised to invite me

for a drink when he gets together with you again. Why did he die earlier than me? Is this a joke?”

Wayne knelt, unscrewed the bottle, took a glass out of his pocket, filled it with whiskey, and poured it on

Jace’s grave.

Sage’s heart was throbbing in pain. Wayne then took out a stamp from his pocket and handed it to

Sage. “You carved this Rose Stamp, didn’t you?” Looking at this Rose Stamp with Jace’s name

engraving, Sage’s heart ached again. She gave Jace this stamp on their third wedding anniversary as

a gift. Unfortunately, it also became their divorce gift.

To be honest, their marriage was very absurd.

The groom was not there when the marriage license was issued. The bride was not there when the

divorce license was issued. Until now, Sage still had not received the divorce license. 1

However, she used the fake name Sage Luz to marry Jace. She borrowed someone else’s identity and

information to marry him, so their marriage was never truly legal or real.

It was just a fantasy.

Sage held the seal in her hand. She spent a long time searching for a good white jade. It was clear and

translucent white jade with red veins seeping into the bottom like a red rose in full bloom.

The red lines seeped more and were almost even with the white. On the side, a white rose was carved

and bloomed along with the red rose.

“Grandpa, why is this seal with you?” she asked Wayne in confusion.

Wayne said, “Jace had someone send it over. He said the bottom was slightly chipped and asked me

to help fix it. He requested me to fix it and not let you know. He’s afraid that you’ll get angry.”

Sage looked at the bottom of the seal. Indeed, there were signs of restoration.

Wayne’s restoration work was so skillful that an amateur could not see it, but Sage could see right

away that the bottom of Jace’s name was broken. Jade was believed to be spiritual. Was this an early

sign of Jace’s death?
