Sage knew about Wayne‘s story. It reminded her of
her days in the countryside as a kid. The family
used to be fun and lively which came with a lot of bickering. She could not help but laugh as she was re
minded of those days.
“Stop laughing and tell me the truth. Are there any updates about your
parents?” Wayne narrowed his eyes. “Are we rushing back to Salem City to meet them?“.
Sage looked at Wayne with amazement. “Grandpa, this is as expected of you. You‘ve figured out everyt
hing haven‘t you. But why aren‘t you surprised at all?” “I am surprised!” Wayne said, “But if Jace can co
me back to life. Why can‘t my son and daughter–in–

perfect.”
Wayne had a smart guess that Sawyer and Primrose were alive. However, when he got
the news from Sage, he was still a little excited and fell silent. Wayne looked out the car window and s

achary‘s double?)

on him like in the past. The six to seven seconds of wait felt like a lifetime for him. Jace bit his fingertips
in a panicked state.
Yoel and Cole stared at him with a confused look.
A dinging sound rang. Jace‘s heart thumped. He thought Sage rejected the call. However,
when he saw that the call was connected, he finally realized that Sage had answered the call.
“Sage!” Jace suddenly stood up and shouted, “I‘m sorry! I didn‘t mean to...”
“No, I did but...” The more he tried to explain, the more wrong it seemed. Jace closed his eyes and bit th
In the past six months, the most powerful move he learnt from Sawyer was the desire to live.
Sawyer had taught him something valuable. “As men, we must use our skill and temper outside. Why us
from apologizing sincerely.” Jace was impressed and thought he had a good point. Yoel and Cole were s
What did Jace just say?
What did they hear? What had he been through in the past six months?
