At Nadeem City Airport, Luther stood at the exit and waited in boredom while shaking the car keys in
his hand.
He saw a man in a tracksuit from a distance. He was walking slowly with his hands in his pockets. The
man had his short hair neatly tied into a small braid behind his head, revealing his forehead.
Kane wore a pair of black sunglasses and was scrolling on his black phone while walking to Luther.
Luther wondered if he could see anything in his shades.
His simple outfit could not hide his tall and strong figure and masculine charm. Many young girls
noticed him and wanted to take a photo of him. However, he shot them a warning gaze with his sharp
eyes and stopped them.
Although he was wearing sunglasses, he still exuded a powerful aura and intimidated others. “Kane!”
Luther shouted, waving the car key in his hands. He waved too hard and accidentally threw the car key
out of his hand. The key was about to hit a young girl in the face, so the girl froze in fright, A big hand
suddenly came swiftly and caught the key firmly with a click. “Sorry,” said a deep voice. Before the girl
could react, the figure had already walked away. Kane walked to Luther and threw the key at him. He
slapped him on his head and said, “You’re too naughty.” Luther rubbed his head and smiled sheepishly.
“Kane, nice safe!” Kane took off the sunglasses and put them on the back of his head. He looked like a
gangster with the sunglasses worn backward. He squinted at Luther and sneered, “You shouldn’t use a
word to describe Ross and Nigel on me. Nice save? I’m just ruthless.”
Luther teased, “Kane, you know yourself pretty well.” “Are you asking for a fight?”
Kane grabbed Luther by his neck and gave him a chokehold.
Luther almost ran out of breath and quickly surrendered. “I’m sorry. Sorry…”
Kane got into the car and sat in the front passenger seat. He played with his phone and frowned
slightly.
Luther glanced at the phone in his hand enviously. “Kane, I want the same phone as you too.” Kane did
not even bat his eyes at him and said, “No.” Luther was rendered speechless and aggrieved. “Why
does everyone have it but not me?” “You’re just a kid. Why do you need this kind of phone?”
Kane curled his fingers and swiped on his phone. His eyes turned inscrutable when he saw the red dot
in Nadeem City.
Luther was annoyed. “How am I a kid? I’m almost twenty-six this year. I’m older than Sage by three
months! Why does Sage have everything but not me?” When Luther mentioned Sage, Kane reluctantly
turned to Luther and gave him a look. “How can you compare to Sage?” Luther was lost for words. He
finally understood his sad rank in the family and quietly cried in his mind. He was the favorite in the
Bennett family, but he was the least favorite here.
What kind of life is this?
Luther quickly recomposed himself and asked Kane, “Kane, why are you in Nadeem City? We found
Melody and warned Yoel already.” Kane stared at the red dot on his phone for a short while. Finally, he
turned off the phone. “I came to settle some private matters.” His voice sounded a little muffled.
Private matters? Luther thought it was the Hudson family who encountered some troubles. He did not
dare to ask further and muttered, “Oh.”
