Yoel gloated, “I heard that you were attacked by fans at Ark Town? What the hell did you
do to be treated like this?”.
He then started laughing uncontrollably and annoyingly.
Sage felt a flash of irritation and hissed, “Shut your goddamn mouth if you don’t want to die!”
Sensing that Sage was angered, Yoel quickly gathered a smile on his face and coaxed, “Don’t be mad,
hmm? I was just messing around with you.”
Ignoring him, Sage glanced coldly at the man sitting next to her. “Why did you ask him to come?”
“It wasn’t me.”
Jace added, “He begged me.”
Yoel nodded shamelessly. “Yeah, I did. It’s a rare sight of you being in such a weak and embarrassing
situation. I wouldn’t have let someone else have this chance of saving you, would I? So here I am.
Touched?”
Gritting her teeth, Sage seethed, “Yeah. But this doesn’t stop me from wanting to punch you.”
When the car pulled over at a red light, Sage grabbed Yoel by his neck. Gasping for air, Yoel pleaded,
“Jace, are you just going to do nothing? Stop her!”
Jace replied, “No.”
Yoel was speechless.
Glancing over at Jace, Yoel seethed inwardly, ‘How could he be such a coward!’
Not wanting to die early, Yoel quickly begged for forgiveness. “I’m sorry, Miss Sage. It’s all my fault.
Please have mercy on me.”
Seeing that the green light had lit up, Sage finally let go of Yoel.
Yoel was finally freed. With one hand holding the steering wheel, Yoel gestured a middle finger to Jace.
Jace could not be bothered with him. He then noticed that Sage looked through her phone. With his lips
pressed together, he then said, “I’ve asked my team to take down the posts and news. I know you want
to help Dean but you didn’t have to put yourself in such a difficult and dangerous position. You don’t
know what those fans are capable of.”
Sage just found out that the posts were gone but the news about Seth and Suki was on the
Chapter 343
headlines.
She did not reply to Jace. She did not mind the criticisms being thrown at her but she had to admit that
she had underestimated the power and determination of fans. It was not a bad thing that the posts
were removed from the internet anyway. Sage guessed that she should hear from the production team
soon.
Not only was Sage being criticized, but even Jaxon Zev and the entire production team were also being
attacked and criticized on the internet. The fans found it hard to swallow that a D list celebrity like
Jaxon would replace Dean Sylas as one of the cast.
The fans guessed that someone had pulled strings under the table and that Dean received unfair
treatment.
Especially after one of the reporters uploaded a video of Jaxon who was in the middle of shooting the
film, the fans were even enraged because Jaxon’s acting ability was nowhere close to Dean’s.
[Is the production team blind? How could they let someone like Jaxon be the second male lead?
[I’m sure it’s because of connections. I heard that he was cast by someone from the production team,
not the director himself. The fans have got it wrong.)
(Yeah? I did find it weird that the CEO of Norah Entertainment would support another artist instead of
their own. I’m sure they’re hiding something and there’s more to what we see.]
(Guys, we need to be more rational at this time. We need to stand our ground and look through the
facts instead of following the crowd…]
The internet was rowdy with the comments and heated debate but it was silent in the car. All except for
Yoel who kept rambling on.
Jace, who felt a bit of a headache, was annoyed by Yoel’s rambles. “Dude, can you please just be
quiet.”
Yoel glanced at him. “No!”
Sage said, “Shut up!”
Yoel replied, “Okay.” Jace was utterly wordless.
