Sage was annoyed. She knew Yoel somehow had a part in this.
“He’s good,” said Sage sarcastically. Jace, however, took it the wrong way and thought she was
praising Yoel. He felt jealous and said, “I did the first two levels myself.”.
“Oh, so you want me to praise you for hacking into my files?” Sage glared at him and smirked, “I can’t
stop you from investigating my files. If you can hack into all ten levels, I’ll be impressed.” Jace was
stunned for a bit. He spent a long time and effort getting into the first two levels. He never thought Sage
encrypted every page with multiple passcodes. It was tough gaining all the skills. As he got to the third
level, he was impatient and had to ask Yoel for help
At first, Yoel was not willing to do so, as he was afraid of Sage. However, he was competitive
too.
They did not expect Sage’s passwords to be both sophisticated and brilliant. It was like a maze, and
you would get lost easily. Yoel spent the entire evening hacking the third level.
He raised his hands and sighed at Jace, “I’m done, and I’m feeling all hazy and confused. Will we lose
ourselves after this?”
Jace did not even look up at Yoel as he stared intently into the files on the third level. He muttered,
“Don’t worry, I’ll chop off your hands before you become crazy.”
Yoel pointed his middle finger at him. ‘If you’re so good at it, do it yourself!’, he thought to himself.
Jace knew, the reason they were able to hack through, was because Sage has gotten too distracted
with work these days. Her hacking and encrypting skills were way above him and Yoel, and almost
impossible to go through all levels.
It was the same as her personality. Jace thought he tried his best to care for her. He never cared for
any woman like this before, but it was ineffective.
Sage still treated him as a stranger, he felt hopeless.
“I only want to know you more, and so maybe I could get closer to your heart.” Sage looked at Jace’s
eyes filled with love and earnestness. She might have been moved if it were three years ago. On the
contrary, it sounded like a joke to her. She stared directly at his eyes, and said brutally, “Mr. Yuriel, have
you got no respect for yourself?”
Jace straightened up, and he froze. “Stop forcing pieces to fit! If I wanted you, you’ll know.”
Sage sounded disinterested, and she added, “Broken mirror can’t be fixed. Even if you use the best
glue in the world, it’ll never be the same again. It’ll have a crack, a sign that it was hurt. Stop doing the
unnecessary.” She sighed and said, “Jace Yuriel, let’s all move forward.”
