As thoughts flashed through her mind like lightning bolts, Lucas nodded to her in the air and smiled

softly.

Sage was very close to her former mother-in-law, Freya. Lucas was her former father-in-law, but Sage

was not close to him. Moreover, she had no good feelings for him because of his affairs.

She did not even bother to speak to her ex-husband anymore, let alone her ex-husband’s father. Sage

regarded Lucas as a stranger and quickly withdrew her gaze.

Lucas did not mind her indifference. Then, he turned his gaze to his son. He understood something

after seeing Jace sitting next to Sage and leaning close to her.

Jace might be divorced, but he still had lingering feelings for Sage.

Luna was very dissatisfied with Sage’s indifference. She approached Lucas and whispered, “Is Miss

Norah so ignorant? Did she forget you, her father-in-law? Why is she ignoring you?”

Luna’s voice was still sweet and lovely even at the age of forty. She was famous for her sweet voice on

the Universal Channel.

Lucas’s expression remained unchanged. He said with a slightly deep voice, “Pay attention to the

explanation.”

Luna’s heart thumped. She hurriedly moved away and stopped leaning toward him.

The sommelier was introducing the Chateau Cissac red wine and chattering. Standing beside him was

Yoel, who was busy translating for him.

“As we all know, Queen Elizabeth II may be busy with state affairs, but she is also a loyal fan of good

wines. This red wine from Chateau Cissac is one of the Queen’s favorite wines.”

Yoel’s translation was quite good, but his mastery of the language was only sufficient for daily

communication. He could not translate the technical terms used by the sommelier. Seeing that the

atmosphere was about to become awkward again, Sage swirled the wine glass in her hand and

continued the translation gracefully.

“This wine has a bright purple color. The wine has a node of red berries such as raspberries and

strawberries. It’s a smooth and flavorful wine and finishes with a smoky coffee node.”

Having said that, she raised her glass slightly and sipped on the wine. Then, she nodded approvingly.

“It’s really good. You should try it.” Upon listening to her explanation, the guests all tasted it. Nigel took

a sip and tasted it carefully. “Well, it’s not bad. I’ll order two bottles back for Sean to try.”

Sage suggested, “Let’s add four bottles and share it with our brothers.”

“Does Shelby need it? He has so many wines in his winery.”

“He needs it.” Sage said solemnly, “If he finds it nice, he will let his winemaker brew it. If we want to

drink it in the future, we don’t need to spend money to buy it.”

Nigel’s eyes sparkled at once. “That’s a great idea!”

Sage was so smart! Well, Nigel had no way to take advantage of Shelby. The rest usually had no

chances, except for Sage. Sage was loved and could take whatever she wanted. Yoel rested his hands

on the table and looked at Sage with interest. “You’re awesome. You can be a professional translator

with your language proficiency. Why don’t you consider doing this as a part-time job?” Sage said faintly,

“They can’t afford to hire me.” Yoel was lost for words. Nigel explained, “She was already working part-

time at the age of sixteen. She even hosted an international conference when she was in high school.

She earns more than my monthly wages by just hosting one conference alone.”

Yoel was speechless. He widened his eyes in surprise and asked Sage, “You hosted an international

conference when you were sixteen? Are you even human?” Sage wore a faint smile with a hint of

confidence. Her smile was gorgeous. “I’m just an ordinary language genius.”

This woman was way too arrogant and beautiful!

Jace looked sideways. Seeing Sage radiated warmth and confidence from within was a light in his

eyes.
