Sage toyed around with the ‘easy kneeling pads’ in her hands and chuckled with

amusement. “Thank her for me, but will Tim allow me to use this?” Everyone raised their heads upon

hearing that question, and they looked defeated.

Luther said, “I wouldn’t dare use it even if you asked me to. If Tim finds out that I wore knee pads while

I was being punished to kneel, he would have me kneel for a whole year.“

Nigel replied, “Hoho! You’re too naive. One year? He’d probably have you kneel for the rest of your life,

until your legs fall off.”

Luther felt a sense of awakening.

He felt grateful that he had only gotten some scolding and had his car confiscated. Tim had surely gone

easy on him.

Sage sighed and stuffed the knee pads back into Seth’s hands.”I’d better not wear them then.”

Sage did not want to risk pissing her eldest brother off any further. The last thing she wanted when she

arrived at Yathein was to receive more punishments.

Kane was in a rotten mood and said frustratingly, “Why not? You were asked to kneel for four hours,

are you trying to destroy your knee caps? Stop nagging and wear them!” Kane then took the knee pads

from Seth’s hands and propped Sage in front of him. He then hunched over and put the knee pads on

her.

Kane then waved her away and said, “Go ahead and kneel now.”

Sage was speechless. How sweet of him.

Sage walked over to the altar where her parents’ portraits were. Seth spoke up just when she was

about to kneel down.

“Hold on.”

He then took out not one, not two, not three, but four pillows from the drawer and said,” There we go.”

Seth then gestured for Sage to kneel. “Isn’t it too obvious that we’re cheating?” Sage asked, feeling

guilty. Seth said with a warm smile, “It’s okay. You’ll always be the one who gets special treatment.

Even if Tim finds out, we’ll be the ones bearing the consequences.

Kane, Nigel, and Luther nodded at the same time.

Sage felt a warm stream flow through her. She kneeled on all fours to greet her parents and got back

up to kneel on her knees.

When she adjusted her posture, her brothers took out their phones, and they each snapped a picture.

Sage was at a loss for words. She glared at them and asked, “What are you guys doing?”

“Can’t believe that my sister would look so pretty even when she’s kneeling,” said Seth.

“I’m just journaling,” said Kane. “For memory’s sake,” said Nigel, “All of the above,” said Luther. Sage

could not believe it, were they really her brothers?!

Being punished to kneel was the most boring activity ever.

When Sage was younger, she hated being punished to kneel or to stand for hours. She would rather

take some beatings and get it over with.

It seemed like Tim had taken over their mother’s role. It was an appropriate punishment for someone

as impetuous as Sage.

Sage kneeled with a great grimace. She looked over at her brothers who were scrolling on their

phones, watching videos, and playing games. She felt nothing but distress. They were supposed to

accompany her for her punishment. She shut her eyes and thought it was better to not look at them any

longer.

According to Tim’s usual punishment, Sage was also supposed to write a 3000-word essay about her

feelings and reflections after kneeling. It was a good time for her to draft the essay so she could write it

smoothly.

That whole incident was not entirely her fault. However, even though she did go too far and risked

herself, it was the right thing to do if they wanted to bait him since…

No!

Sage shook her head. Tim would never approve of that essay. It was better to look for some other

excuses and admit her mistakes.

Sage went through a rollercoaster of emotions in her head and drafted the whole essay in her mind.

She then opened her eyes and checked the time.

It had only been an hour!

One! Hour! Sage was speechless. Since when did time pass so slowly?!
