Yoel gulped back. “I’m not a person with a kind temper, I’m not even kind. My brothers
aren’t kind too.” Sage turned away, “I’m going to pretend you never said anything today. Everything will
be gone once you walk out this door, never to be mentioned again. I don’t want to be enemies with you
guys, so stop forcing me to retaliate.”. Yoel froze immediately after looking at her eyes and heeding her
words of warning. He knew that she was furious. Meanwhile, at the Yuriel Mansion, Jace walked into
the study and stood in front of his grandfather.. “Grandpa, do you have any connection with the Jade
Master?” Jace went straight to the point. “Do you want to collaborate with her?” Grandpa Yuriel did not
seem too surprised. “Yes. We have a line of jewelry still stuck in the warehouse that hasn’t been launed
till today. I was thinking if we could put it on the market, maybe the Jade Master would be willing to
collaborate with us.” Grandpa shook his head as he heard what Jace proposed, “I don’t think that’ll
work. From what I gathered, the Jade Master has always been independent. I was truly shocked when I
heard she chose to work with Norah Jewelry.” Jace furrowed his brows, “You mean her collaboration
with Norah Jewelry was a ruse?” “That’s possible, yes, since she has never once revealed herself.”
Jace thought for a moment and asked again, “You’ve seen Jade Master as a kid, right?” “Did Mendoza
tell you this?” Grandpa Yuriel was displeased, “Yes I have, but that was many moons ago. She was a
child back then and she would definitely look different when she got
older.”
“I heard from Mr. Mendoza that you collected two pieces of her art, can I have a look at them?”
Jace had a feeling that he will somehow meet this Jade Master one day:
Grandpa Yuriel frowned with regret. “I’ve collected a few pieces of art long ago, but we had a financial
crisis years ago, and your uncle had a failed investment. He came begging for me to save him, and I
had to sell them to earn some extra bucks,” Jace’s heart skipped a beat, “Did you sell her artwork too?”
“Jade Master’s art was always in high demand, and the value went up exponentially. I had no choice as
the buyer was keen on her pieces.” Grandpa Yuriel’s heart still ached a little thinking about it. Jace was
disappointed. He was now back to square one again.
“According to my knowledge, the buyer hasn’t sold it off yet. Since the Jade Master has risen to
popularity again, I think the prices will go up in several folds.” “Who bought the pieces?”
“A famous collector from Lang City,” Grandpa said as he handed a name card over to Jace.
Jace took it and looked at the address on the card. He thanked his grandfather and as he was about to
leave, he saw his mother in a wheelchair.
Freya glanced at her son and uttered a few simple words, “What are you going to do about Sage’s
birthday next week?”
