“Don’t worry, it’s not going to cause you any harm,” said Sage lightly, “we’ll talk after.” Sage brought a
breakfast truck and it was filled with all sorts of cuisine.
Dean did not have an appetite but he had a piece of sandwich for the sake of Sage. It was tasteless in
his mouth, as he kept thinking about what Sage meant by repaying his debt. How would she want him
to repay for saving his life? He had a thought, but he dared not imagine, how… could that be possible?
The food truck left as they were done. Sage went straight to the topic as she did not like wasting time.
She place down two contracts drafted by Hunter in front of Suki and Dean and she said, “This is an
agency contract. You guys can take it home and look into it. You may ask Hunter if you have any
questions about it.” Seth looked up and stared at his sister. He knew Sage would never waste her time,
and her visitation today had to be purposeful. He also guessed that she would probably get Dean to
sign a Norastar contract, but he did not think she would have wanted Suki to.
Both Dean and Suki were astounded each holding a thick stack of documents. They did not know what
to say.
They thought they saw it all being in a complicated industry. Dean had some mental preparations but
he still could not react properly when his imagination became reality. “You want to sign me?” both
voices simultaneously.
Compared to Dean, this was a complete surprise to Suki. She did not get a jump ship offer in a long
time. Many moons ago, various agencies or movie production companies did throw an olive branch at
her, but her contract with Starship Entertainment was for 20 years. It was no different than being
enslaved. She had made peace with staying at Starship Entertainment till the day she died. It does not
matter where she was anyway.
However, now, Sage wanted her to come over to Norastar Entertainment.
“Yes. Both of you, I want you to come.” Sage said with a calm yet determined voice. It sounded like
casual chitchat.
Both Dean and Suki looked at each other and shook their heads simultaneously, “That’s impossible.”
“Mr. Liam wouldn’t allow it,” Dean didn’t even look at the contract. Shelving him is one thing, but Lionel
would rather destroy his entire career than let him jump ship over to his competitors.
Not to mention his nemesis, Norastar Entertainment.
Sage said in a low tone, “You won’t have a bright future anymore at Starship Entertainment. You’re
shelved, and you’re no use to him. I could settle Lionel, he’s a piece of cake. Just tell me, will you
come?”
Dean looked up instantly and his eyes lit up. He did not have to say a word yet his intentions were clear
as day. However, he immediately looked down again.
“Miss Sage, L…I owe Mr. Liam a great fortune. And my contract with Starship is for ten years, this year
is only the fifth year. I can’t leave yet.” Dean thought of breaking his contract with Starship, but he still
owed Lionel money for helping him settle his dad’s gambling debts. Plus he needed to pay a huge sum
for breaking the contract. That sounded like a small matter to Sage. “It’s not an issue if it’s solvable with
money,” Sages’ words reassured him, “I’ll pay for your debts, and my legal team will settle your contract
issues. I’ll pay even if we lose in the end. Are we done here?”
