Laura squinted her pretty eyes sharply. Luther patted his chest and said, “I got shocked, Sage. I
thought you were caressing a man.”
Sage was speechless.
What were they thinking about? How could they mistake such a pretty girl for a man?
“So what if I’m caressing a man? Can’t I touch any men?”
Jace glared at Sage. He would never let that happen.
Before Jace could speak, a cold voice was heard.
“You’re not allowed to,” said Kane coldly.
Sage and Luther both looked in Kane’s direction with confusion on their faces.
Laura looked up slightly. “None of y,” Kane grabbed her shoulders with his large arms directly across
Sage and Luther, and his face was solemn. “This is your sister-in-law. My wife!”
Laura was dumbstruck. Both Sage and Luther’s jaws dropped.
After a few seconds of silence, Laura grabbed Kane’s arms with her shoulder against his body. She
was about to slam him down, but she forgot she had just hurt her waist. Kane was unfazed and waited
for her movement, but all he heard was a loud crack.
Laura broke her waist.
Meanwhile, at the clinic, Yoel felt unlucky. He twisted his waist as he stretched in the morning. Yoel
dragged himself to the health center to get treated. Yoel had heard of the famous Ross Samuel’s
treatment. He wanted to try if it was that effective. Yoel’s father traveled to Mostal to visit Ross for his
bi-annual health maintenance. It was how he still managed to have Yoel in his old age.
Unfortunately, Ross was extremely against seeing Yoel because of Melody, his daughter, let alone treat
him.
Fate was not on Yoel’s side.
The consultation room door opened, and a patient walked out with his face glowing while holding onto
his son. “I can’t believe that the young doctor is such a professional. I feel immediately relieved.”
The staff walked out and said politely, “Mister Fulton, you may enter now.” Yoel nodded and stood up,
holding onto his waist.
“Yoel!”
A sharp voice transmitted from the back of the hallway, and Yoel was shocked. He turned around and
saw a familiar face, but he could not recall who she was.
“You are?”
The woman’s eyes widened and looked at him unbelievably. “Don’t you remember me? I’m Nat!”
Nat?
Yoel still could not recall her.
“Pardon me. As he was about to turn away, Nat came closer. “How can you say that? We were
together for thirty days and twenty-one hours. It was only three hours away from a full month! You left
such a huge mark, and I haven’t found anyone better than you ever since. Now, you’re saying you don’t
recognize me. You’re playing with me, right?”
Yoel was speechless. He honestly could not remember who that woman was. There were numerous
women named Nat in his life, and he only remembered one of them with a round face and large eyes.
They were together for about a year. As for the rest of them, he may have casually brought them out for
dinner. Not even a kiss.
That woman was not particularly pretty enough to leave an impression either. “He’s probably telling the
truth.”
A voice came from the back. Yoel and Nat looked in the direction of the voice and saw a woman
dressed in scrubs standing at the door. She had a hairpin holding up her dark, long hair. Melody had
her body against the door, and her expression looked like someone was about to be in a lot of trouble.
“You were only with him for less than a month. How could you expect him to remember you? Am I right,
Mister Yoel?”
