“You can go out with Yoel, even get married if you want to. But be prepared because we’d never let him
off that easily if he hurts you. Your love might even be a burden for him. Would you still like to
continue?”.
Melody had never thought about any of those things. Those words had definitely affected her heart and
mindset.
Ross looked at Melody, who seemed to be in deep contemplation. Even though he had no idea what
Sage told her, he was certain that it was about her own life experience.
“You managed to understand everything she said?” Ross asked.
Melody thought for a second and answered with honesty, “Partially.”
‘That’s more than enough, I guess,’ Ross thought to himself.
The footage from the surveillance camera and dash camera were crystal clear. Luna did drive the car,
knowing there was someone standing in front of the car.
Intentional homicide was a reasonable accusation.
Luna insisted that the engine was never turned off and that her foot had been on the brake pedal the
whole time and had no idea that the car was moving forward. She also added that even if she did step
on the accelerator pedal, it was not intentional.
Most importantly, she did brake the car and did not cause any injuries to Sage, denying the accusation
of intentional homicide.
Luna said as she looked at Sage, “Also, Miss Sage took my dash camera footage without my
permission. I don’t know how she managed to attain it, but she definitely violated my privacy.
Luna kept her silence after that sentence, saying that she had the right to remain silent and would only
speak with her attorney on the scene.
Jace and Yoel were testifying as witnesses for Sage, whilst the two security guards testified for Luna.
Statements from both parties were inconsistent, plus the incident did not cause any injuries, so it was
hard to make a judgement based on the camera footage alone.
The police officers suggested that they settle the matter amongst themselves as it was a complicated
case.
In the middle of the discussion, Lucas walked into the station with an attorney.
Upon seeing Lucas, Luna immediately let down her cold and arrogant temperament and fell into his
arms like a little girl who had been bullied. “Where have you been? These people have been falsely
accusing me!”
Luna choked as tears rained from her eyes as she buried her face in Lucas’ embrace.
Everyone in the scene was dumbfounded.
Luna was a famous actress from the Universal Channel, and Lucas himself was the well-known
Chief Spencer. Even though their relationship had been publicized, it was entertaining and surprising to
see the two being intimate with each other. Chief Spencer was such a lucky man to have a beautiful
lady who threw herself on him. Lucas held Luna in his arms as he looked at the surroundings.
Lucas had no intention of coming when he first received the phone call from Sienna and found out that
Luna had gotten herself into some trouble. However, he changed his mind upon finding out that the
incident involved Sage and his own son. When Lucas learned about the process of the whole incident,
he glanced at Luna with his darkened eyes. His icy glare seeped into Luna’s heart, and her heart sank
Anxious crept up on Luna all of a sudden.
Lucas looked at Jace and turned to Sage. He calmly said to her, “Sage, what happened today was
definitely on Luna. Is it possible to let it go this time, for me?”
Sage pursed her lips and was about to say something when a stern voice was heard coming from the
entrance. “For you? Is your face value really worth that much?” Lucas, Sage, Jace, and the rest turned
their heads and were greeted by Luther slowly wheeling Freya into the station. The air in the police
station froze in an instant.
Freya looked up coldly and spat, “I’d never forgive anyone who dared lay their hands on my daughter!”
