Sage’s mind almost went blank when she saw her name shaved on his head.
She rushed forward and pushed the bodyguards aside. She completely forgot about the injury on her
right arm and rushed to Jace to hug his head.
Jace was stunned in silence. He thought she was going to hit him, but he held back. He almost
instinctively tried to evade her.
Everyone was also shocked by Sage’s sudden action. No one knew what she wanted to do.
Sage did not hit Jace. She only held her head and observed it. Jace wanted to move, but she shouted
at him, “Don’t move!”
Jace only lowered his head more and stopped moving in her arms. However, his head was resting in a
very awkward position. Her chest was right in front of his nose and mouth.
Jace quickly closed his eyes, but her sweet scent still lingered around his nose! He missed her scent
so much and could never forget it.
Yale, who was sitting not far away, frowned upon seeing this scene. Then, he turned his eyes
elsewhere.

Sage was completely unaware of the embarrassing posture. Her eyes were fixed on Jace’s hair. She
was sure that it was her dad’s handwriting!
There was no mistake!
No one else other than her crazy mom would come up with such a childish and silly way to shave her
name into his hair!
“Hey, Sage…” Luther could not stand watching the awkward scene anymore. He came over to his
sister and whispered, “Many people are still watching. Can you be more reserved?”
What did he mean by being more reserved!
Sage was completely distracted by her name on Jace’s hair. She did not pay attention to anything else
until Luther reminded her. She finally realized that their posture was…
Sage let go of Jace’s head in shock. She took a step back and almost tripped. “Hey! Careful!” Jace
reached out and gave her a hand. He waited until she steadied herself and saw her face flushing red.
Jace blushed and touched his nose with a smile. “Is there something to eat?” He rubbed his starving
stomach and said to Sage, “I’m hungry.”
The kitchen made some pasta as fast as they could.
The bodyguards soon dispersed. Everyone gathered in the living room. They watched Jace eat the
food as if he had starved for three days.
Luther gulped hungrily. “After watching him eat, I’m starting to feel hungry too… Zamora, I want some
food too!”
Soon, Luther began to eat too, but no one paid attention to him.
Sage sat across the table and stared straight at Jace in silence. She looked at his face first, then
shifted her gaze to her name on his hair. She had so many questions to ask.
Luther was busy eating and sensed a pair of eyes were staring at him from across the room. It felt
creepy. When he looked up, he only realized that Sage was not looking at him. She was staring at Jace
intently with full of questions in her eyes.
How long was she going to stare? Why did she keep her eyes glued to him? Could she be more
reserved?!
Jace was finally satisfied after finishing three full servings. He put down his cutleries and wiped his
mouth with a tissue.
“It’s tasty.” He smiled at Sage.
Sage looked at him and remained silent.
‘It was getting dark outside. Jace had enough food and drink. There seemed to be no reason for him to
stay any longer.
He stood up. “It’s late already. I should…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Sage interrupted him. “Don’t go tonight.” Jace fell silent.
