Hunter awaited at the entrance as Sage walked out of the event hall.
“Miss Norah, are you alright?” Hunter looked worried, and Leah looked out the window, worriedly
asking, “Sister, are you hurt?” Sage pushed her head back into the car. “Why are you two even here?
Aren’t you guys on a date?”
A
Hunter and Leah had guilt written all over their faces. Hunter never left Sage’s side as her assistant.
Today, Sage approved his leave so he could go on a date for movies and dinner with Leah, to get
closer to each other. As they were on their way to the movies, Hunter received news about Sage
fighting with someone else, and together they hurriedly came over. Sage explained what happened in
the car. Hunter and Leah both felt relieved upon knowing she was not hurt in the fight. On the way
home, Sage asked both of them about their date. Their faces were bright red, and they were both shy
yet overjoyed. Words were unspoken, but it was obvious that it went well. Sage understood and did not
ask any further. Hunter opened the door for Sage as they reached Rosa Garden, and Sage ordered
him, “Please send me a copy of Suki and Dean’s files once you got them.”
Hunter stunned for a bit and then nodded yes.
Sage never wasted her time. She had a new plan, Hunter knew about that.
Tonight, Braxton and Yeva were not home, and the air in Rosa Garden felt fresher than ever, and it was
peaceful.
Yeva seldom came home and often stayed at Julian’s place as their wedding date neared. She was
unwilling to leave Rosa Garden, but she had no choice. She was terrified of Sage.
Ever since Sage got back, Yeva’s wounds never gotten a chance to heal. She was constantly getting
beaten.
Braxton had the same thoughts too. They contemplated looking for dark magic witches to cast a
voodoo spell on Sage. Zamora got the kitchen staff to prepare supper for the Norah sisters, and they
happily had some matzo ball soup. As they ate, Leah looked at Sage as if she had something to say.
“Spill it,” said Sage. Leah laughed awkwardly and then rubbed her ears shyly, “Hunter asked me to be
his girlfriend.”
Sage swallowed her matzo ball, and said expectedly, “That’s fast. Did you say yes?”
“No,” Leah shook her head, and she caught herself in a kink, “I was worried that it’ll affect his work,
plus I just started working. I’ve got no time to be in a relationship, and I think I should wait.”
Sage nodded and said, “Just follow your heart. You should be more independent of your thoughts.” “I
understand,” Leah’s eyes glistened, and she thought of something, and her eyes darkened again.
Biting her lip, Leah asked, “Sage, my graduation ceremony is in a few days. Will you… come?”
“When is it?”
“The day after tomorrow, on the 7th.”
Sage wiped her mouth and said in a calm tone, “Alright. I’ll arrange to be free on that day.” Though
Sage was calm, Leah was overjoyed. She jumped up and said, “Can you come to my graduation
ceremony?”
She was ready to be rejected as Sage was such a busy entrepreneur. She did not want to disrupt her
schedule.
