Everyone stood up and bowed lightly at Sage as they saw her, “Good morning, Miss Norah.”
Braxton got even angrier. These idiots didn’t even look at him as they saw him, the president of the
company!
Sage nodded lightly and signaled everyone to take their seats.
She walked towards the other end of the conference table and Hunter fetched her a chair. As Sage sat
down, all the board members and voting members instantly pulled their chairs nearer to Sage and
tumed towards her.
They clearly had a preference when it came to who was the real decision-maker of this corporation.
“Hello my niece, you finally came. “Braxton lowered his body onto the table and said in an unkind voice,
“You seem to owe me an explanation on the turf club issue.”
“What else do I need to say? You clearly knew it all,” Sage looked up hazily and threw a file across the
table.
She added. *This document stated more than twenty reasons as to why this land was more suitable to
build a turf club instead of a golf club. The two of you almost emptied our pockets when you bid for this
property. We will go bankrupt if we can’t at least make some money from this land.”
*Don’t you threaten me with bankruptcy!” Braxton didn’t even take a look at the document and he flew it
to the ground, “You can’t scare me with this tactic anymore, take a look around! We are a huge
corporation. We won’t go bankrupt easily!”
Everyone stared at Braxton with disapproval.
Sage shook her head as she said, “Uncle Braxton, you clearly lack grey matter. Please leave your
stupidity out of the company. Stop embarrassing the Norah name.”
Braxton’s face darkened and he said, “You dare lecture me? Did you forget everything about our family
rule book?”
Sage let out a cold laugh.
“The first rule of the Norah Family, the smartest one make the decisions.”
Sage continued in a low voice, “I’ll refresh your memory. A month ago, the Norah Group my father
painstakingly built was almost ruined in your hands. It was my funds that saved this company from
bankruptcy. Without me, you are nothing now.”
It was brutal. Braxton’s face went dark and stuttered, “You, you dare say these to your own uncle…” He
held on to his chest and fell o n the chair.
Zane couldn’t take it anymore, he felt as if Sage was lecturing him altogether. He said sterly, “Sage,
watch your words. Give us some respect as your uncles.”
“I think I have given you two enough respect.” Sage said calmly with a slight smile, “And you’re wrong
about one thing. Though both of you are Norahs, this company was my father’s legacy. It was solely
owned by him. When my father said this was a family business, he meant it for me. I am the sole heir of
this company. You two had nothing to do with my family business. I let you two keep your titles out of
respect. Please don’t get in the way of my business, or else.” “You…” Zane couldn’t find words to say.
