Not only was her face red from the slap but the corners of her lips were bruised too.

Sage’s grip accidentally ripped Yeva’s wound causing her to flinch in pain. Pushing away Sage’s hand,

Yeva hissed, “None of your business!”

Sage would be more than glad to leave her alone. Leaning against the door, she looked calmly at Yeva,

who was throwing a tantrum,

Yeva was glaring furiously at Sage with her red-rimmed eyes.

“It’s all your fault! If you didn’t humiliate Julian in front of everyone earlier, he wouldn’t have been this

upset, and he wouldn’t have’ hit me.”

Touching her left cheek, Yeva still felt the burning pain.

Earlier when Julian had spent nearly a fortune on Sage, Yeva was fuming with jealousy. Once the

auction had ended, Yeva had started whining and sulking in hopes that Julian would comfort her.

However, instead of comforting her, he slapped her across the face.

When Julian’s hand landed on her face, Yeva was stumped. The ringing sound in her ear did not seem

to stop.

Julian’s face contorted in rage. “Can you just shut your mouth already? Who are you to even be jealous

of Sage? Have you taken a look in the mirror these days? How dare you compare yourself to her?”

Yeva felt pained and wronged.

However, mostly, she was terrified

Since they were young, Julian had always been following Sage around, and Yeva had spent a lot of

effort trying to make him give u pon Sage to be with her.

What if Julian went back on his word and decided not to marry her?

At the thought of this, Yeva got extremely anxious.

Sage could not understand Yeva Frowning, she crossed her arms in front of her chest and said,

“Putting aside whether I humiliated Julian or not, why are you lashing out at me instead of him when he

hit you just because he’s upset?”

“Because it’s you!”

Pointing a finger at Sage, Yeva snarled, “You must be pleased, aren’t you? To have so many men

chasing after you, how proud you must feel. Jace from Nadeem, Yoel from Riverside. Both are from

wealthy families, right? With all these men surrounding you, it’s n o wonder that you don’t care about

Julian. So, tell me, for the past three years that you went missing, were you running around and having

fun with these men?”

Sage watched silently as Yeva rambled on crazily. She was suddenly reminded of the group of

gossiping ladies at the event who had mentioned Yeva.

Indeed, it was Yeva who had spread those rumors about her.

“I gave you a clear warning today, but it looks like you did not bother to heed my advice.”

Rubbing her temples, Sage had no plans of putting up with Yeva’s tantrums. She called for Miss

Zamora and said to Yeva, “I’m too tired now to deal with you. Calm yourself down and sober up.”

To Miss Zamora, she said, “Have her kneel by the toilet and keep an eye on her. Make sure she stays

there, and she is not allowed to -leave until I say so.”

Miss Zamora nodded, called for two bodyguards, and dragged Yeva to the toilet.

“Let me go!”

Yeva struggled with all her might, but her struggles were in vain when her opponents were two strong

bodyguards. Kneeling by the toilet, Yeva continued to curse loudly when she suddenly felt her stomach

churning and she began to throw up.

Ignoring Yeva’s cries, Sage went to bed with noise-canceling earplugs.

Yeva continued throwing up while she cried and fussed.

The bodyguards carried out their duties and kept an eye on Yeva, giving her water when she needed it

and patting her back. They did everything but allow her to leave the toilet.

Yeva eventually ended up spending the night in the bathroom. Somehow she had managed to fall

asleep.

In a Skye Hotel’s suite in room number 66, Jace had just finished showering.

Walking out of the shower, he noticed Yoel who had invited himself into the suite. Sitting on a barstool,

Yoel was studying the enamel porcelain plates carefully.

“Say, is this really from the famous potter?”

Jace nodded, as he walked into the kitchen, where he filled two glasses with water.

Clicking his tongue, Yoel shook his head. “I don’t understand why you thought it was a good idea to

offend Sage over a set of plates? I’m worried for you.”
