To die or live, but live in a living hell? That was a difficult question.
Yeva made a comparison of Julian, Queenie, and Sage’s tricks. She then recalled all the things that
they had done to her. She felt that Sage was more frightening, but she still wanted to pick Sage for
some reason.
After all, being alive was better than being dead. Besides, Grandpa was around. No matter how bad
Sage would treat her, she probably would not be too harsh on her… Could Sage truly make her life a
living hell?
Sage was impatient. “You still have three seconds to think it over.”
Without waiting for Sage to count down, Yeva already shouted in a hurry.
“I’ll leave with you!” “Alright. Bow to me then.”
It was humiliating to bow deeply to her in front of so many people!
However, she was almost going to die, so what was so precious about having a straight back? No
matter how humiliating it was, it was not as bad as Julian stepping on her face with leather shoes and
cursing at her.
It was also not as bad as the Jefferson family wanting to rip her legs apart to collect her amniotic fluid
for a DNA test…
Yeva’s greatest strength is knowing when to yield and when not to yield.
The Jefferson family was stuck in the living room. After a short while, they saw Sage coming down the
stairs. Yeva was behind her and was supported by the men in black. All of their expressions
immediately changed.
Queenie’s expression darkened. She did not expect Sage to actually come to save Yeva. They were
cousins, but their relationship was terrible, was it not?
Missus Jefferson was the first to speak, “What are you doing? You can’t take Yeva away. She’s still
carrying a descendant of the Jefferson family in her belly!”
Sage was too sleepy earlier on, so she listened to them spewing nonsense for a long while, but she
was too lazy to argue with them. However, the Jefferson family was too shameless! They had severely
polluted her eyes and ears!
Sage shot her ice-cold gaze at them. “Didn’t you say that the child in Yeva’s belly wasn’t Julian’s? Why
are you saying that she’s carrying a descendant of the Jefferson family in her belly now? Is it
entertaining to contradict yourself?” “We said that it may not be! We’re only suspecting.”
Missus Jefferson was so confident as she felt she was justified.
Sage chuckled. “What’s there to be suspicious about? Doesn’t Julian know what he did?” She then told
Missus Jefferson again, “There’s no telling how much seed your son has spread. Rather than staring at
the one inside Yeva’s belly, why don’t you just bring a few more vixens home? Isn’t that his cup of
tea?”. “You… How dare you talk about my son like that!?” Missus Jefferson was infuriated, and she
looked like she was about to have a heart attack “Missus Jefferson, don’t be angry. Don’t stoop to her
level.” Queenie comforted her. She played the role of a good daughter-in-law so well that it was much
more spectacular than Sage back then. She looked toward Sage. “Miss Sage, must you be so harsh
with your words? You can just speak your mind directly. There’s no need to curse someone indirectly.”
Sage said calmly, “I didn’t curse someone indirectly. I am cursing you.” Queenie was speechless. Yeva
was listening at the back, and she felt so relieved. Those people had tormented her for so long that she
had long wanted to fight with them. However, it was unexpected that Sage was the one who sought
revenge for her. “Sage, what are you doing?” Julian was unable to get angry in front of Sage at all. It
was almost as if he was pleased with her. He smiled and said, “Haven’t you always hated Yeva? She’s
done so many bad things to you. I’m just seeking revenge for you.”
