‘Who are you texting with? And what’s with that creepy smile on your face?” Yoel got

curious. He reached out his hand to take Jace’s phone but Jace was a step ahead of him. Jace locked

his phone and put his phone away.

He then shot a cold glare at Yoel. “Where are your manners?” Yoel arched his brows and said, “Sage

unblocked you? Did she add you back to her contact ? Pressing his lips tightly together, Jace seethed,

“Why do you care?” “The smile on your face tells me that you’re in love.”

Crossing his arms in front of his chest, Yoel added, “But judging from your current situation, it’s unlikely

that you’re in a relationship with other ladies. Bro, I quite pity you at times. After what happened with

that ex-wife of yours, how is it possible for you to fall in love with someone else?”

Putting his hand on his forehead , Yoel thought hard. “What was the saying again? Ah, once you love

someone, you will feel others are not the one, and it’s hard to have intense feelings for other people but

the one you loved…” Jace had enough of Yoel’s nonsense. Throwing his car keys to Yoel, he said,

“Bye.” Yoel received the car keys and waved happily at Jace. “Thanks mate! I’ll be waiting for you at

home.”

Jace rolled his eyes. Recalling what Yoel said to him, Jace could only smile bitterly. Zayne knocked on

his office door and reported, “Sir, I’ve got news from Salem City that Mister Wayne signed the contract.”

“Okay.”

Jace’s eyes lit up a little. “I’ll pick him up myself.”

“Um…” Zayne said, “Miss Norah arranged for her man to escort Mister Wayne. If I’m right, Mister

Wayne is escorted by ten bodyguards and a designated driver. She said that all we have to do is to

provide hospitality for Mister Wayne.” Jace, who was about to get up from his chair, froze mid-way and

sat back down. The smile on his face faded slowly as he replied flatly, “Okay.” Jace wondered if Sage

hated the thought of seeing him.

Sage went to the hospital to settle the discharge procedure for her grandfather. She then drove Wayne

back to Rosa Garden to help him with packing. Pressing down the cigarette butt in the ashtray, Wayne

sat on the sofa comfortably as he

watched his granddaughters, Sage and Leah helping him with his packing and thought to himself that

he was blessed. None of his sons cared for him as well as his granddaughter did. “Grandpa, do you still

want these two shirts?” Holding up two crumpled-up shirts, Leah asked.

Wayne replied without any hesitation, “Of course.”

“It’s all crumpled up and washed out, just throw them away.” Sage packed a few other shirts into

luggage. Sage understood that old people were more conservative and it would be hard for them to

change their outfit styles. Wayne explained anxiously, “Don’t throw it away! There are no holes nor is it

torn, why would you want to throw away a good shirt…” After a moment of trying to convince and

persuade her grandfather, Sage was worried that her grandfather would get too worked up, hence, in

the end, she gave in and had Leah pack the two old shirts into his luggage. Right then, Yeva walked

out of her room and greeted, “Grandpa.” “Yeva dear, come on over.” Wayne waved his hand at Yeva,

signaling her to come over.
