They went to a mall a short distance away from the hospital, with a Yusimite restaurant with good

reviews

They went during dinner time, and it was pretty crowded. The lighting in the restaurant was warm and

atmospheric, and the order bell was of a dancing panda.

Sage asked Jim what he would like to eat.

Jim poured Sage a glass of water and said, “Go ahead and order. I’m fine with anything.” Sage ordered

based on an athlete’s stomach and got orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, stir fry vermicelli, and a

steamed fish with ginger and shallots.

She also got herself a serving of Yusimite wine.

“Are these enough?” Sage asked Jim.

Jim smiled and said, “Yes, I eat less for dinner anyway. We can order more if I’m still hungry later.”

Sage returned the menu to the waiter and said, “That’s all for now.”

The dishes were served promptly. Sage got a bowl of chicken soup and a big piece of drumstick for Jim

and said, “Have more protein. Look at how skinny you are.” “Okay, you should eat more too.” Jim’s

smile was bright and youthful. Eating in front of such a handsome face drastically improved the meal

experience. The both of them eat whilst chatting with each other. “How’s Dean doing lately?” Sage was

pretty busy lately, so she had not had time to take care of Norah Entertainment. However, she did have

a brief conversation about the company with Seth earlier.

“He’s doing well. He had just finished shooting at Ark Town. He’ll be heading back to shoot with

Dawson Studios, which is closer to Salem City. I’ll be visiting him when I’m done with training.”

Sage nodded and said, “I’ll come along when I have time.”

“Sure.” Jim’s eyes sparkled in anticipation. “When are you returning to Salem City, Sage?” “In a few

more days, I’ll definitely be back before Valentine’s Day. I have some work to sort out back in the city.”

Sage took a sip of the wine. It was smooth and easy on the throat.

Jim nodded and watched Sage, who sat under the warm light. Her lips were of a crimson shade, and

her teeth snowy white. Her features were of a painting, beautiful and charming. “Sage.” Jim said

hesitantly, “Were you at the hospital today for a friend?”

Sage paused briefly and said, “Yes, he was injured, so I went to visit.”

Jim’s heart tightened as he observed Sage’s subtle changes of expression. He could not help but ask,

“Is it your ex-husband, Mister Yuriel?”

Sage looked up at him and smiled. “You’re caught up on things.” “I saw the news.” Jim pursed his lips

and continued, “The news mentioned that the CEO of Yuriel Group took a hit for a lady. It didn’t

mention your name, but I assumed it was you.”

“It was me.” Sage was honest. She took a sip of the wine and continued, “He took the hit for me.”

Jim noticed how Sage had become slightly helpless and down and started blaming himself internally for

bringing up such a sensitive topic. “I shouldn’t have asked. My bad. Let’s talk about something else.”

Jim placed a piece of meat on her plate and said, “This is pretty good, have a taste.”

Indeed, Sage would rather not talk about an ex-husband during a pleasant time as such and change

the subject immediately. “How have you been lately? Is the training tiring?” “It’s alright.” Jim took a sip

of tea. “Since I got into the national team, the training frequency has increased drastically. I haven’t

been able to go help out in the restaurant lately.

“You got into the national team?” Sage’s eyes glowed in anticipation.

Jim nodded and hummed yes in response. “That’s great, congratulations! I knew you could do it.” Sage

held her glass up and said, “Jim, FTW!” Jim was surprised. “Look at you with your internet lingo.” “Of

course, I’m not a boomer,” Sage said as she glared jokingly at Jim.
