Yoel took the tie and put it on Jace, continued, “I’m much more experienced at this than you. Where are

you guys meeting tonight? I s Sage cooking for you? Can I come?”

Jace said fimmly, “No.”

“…Yoel was stunned speechless. Some good friend he is.

Yoel was going after Sage too, but after he found out that Sage was in love with Jace for a decade…He

decided not to.

Sage spent her entire youth donning on Jace. Yoel longed for a love like this but he wasn’t fortunate

enough to have it.

Not everyone in this world is lucky to have found their one true love.

Yoel wasn’t ready to fight this battle to win Sage over. It was just impossible.

Both of them met at 6 o’clock sharp at the entrance of the Norah Group Headquarters. They were

always incredibly punctual.

Sage signaled at Jace to follow behind her car, but Jace got down and held at her wrist, saying to her,

“Get into my car.”

T’ll take my car,” said Sage with her brows furrowed.

Sage thought in her mind, is Jace playing some sick game with her? When they were married, he won’t

even sit close to her. And. now that they were divorced, he kept trying to have physical contact with her

whenever he could.

Jace looked determined as he held on to her wrist. He insisted, “Either we both take your car or my car

together. Your choice.”

Sage looked at him all speechless. Is that even a choice?

She looked up coldly at him and said, “Are you driving? I’ll come with you if you are.”

Sage said that on purpose. She knew that Jace never fully got over the terrible car accident he was

involved in. He never drove after that.

She knew it was a difficult condition for Jace to fulfill.

Jace looked at her longingly and opened up the gunshot seat.

Sage was stunned. Was he going to take the wheel?

Jace signaled for Zayne and the driver to leave together with Hunter. As he made his way into the

driver’s seat, the driver and Hunter worriedly asked Jace, “Mr. Jace…”

“I can handle it,” Jace said lightly as he closed the door. He then adjusted his seat to his comfort. He

hadn’t touched the steering wheel for ages. Everything felt like it was just yesterday.

Sage sat next to him and felt his awkwardness, and she got nervous, “Don’t force yourself if you can’t

do it,” she said to Jace..

Jace tilted his head at her and suddenly got close to Sage. She asked as her body froze still, “What are

you trying to do?”

“Your seatbelts,” he said as he put on the seatbelt on Sage, and said in a low voice, “Don’t ask a man if

he can do it or not. It sounded like you’re challenging them.”, He stared intently into Sage’s eyes, and

there was a spark between them. Sage felt hot.
