Jace answered Yoel with pride, “Sage made chicken noodle soup.” Jace smacked his lips at Yoel. “You
had Sage’s cooking?!” Yoel was triggered by what he said and dashed to their table.
“Anymore left for me? I’m so hungry… what! not a single bite left for me?” Yoel yelled as he looked at
their empty bowls and the room was still filled with the delicious smell of the food, “Make me another
bowl please.”
Zayne stood at the door and sighed. Why can’t these men grow up?
Sage wiped her mouth and said, “Next time. I’m running out of time already.” She glanced at Jace and
said, “I don’t think you can make it to the turf club today. Let’s meet again another day.”
.
“No, no. I can go,” Jace said as he tried to take the bandage off his head. Sage held his wrist and
glared at him as she said, “You are not fully healed yet. Just stay here if you don’t want it to be worse.”
Jace obediently put down his hand and nodded, “Yes. Whatever you say.”
What is happening? Yoel stared at them with his widened eyes, especially his buddy Jace who was
behaving like a Golden Retriever. He stood frozen and his jaw dropped to the ground. It had only been
a night!
As he was about to make fun of Jace, Hunter rushed to the room looking anxious. He reported to Sage
and said, “Miss Norah, both Braxton and Zane came back to the office. They are causing a scene right
now as they heard about the turf club.”
Everyone in the room tumed grim as they heard. Jace and Yoel were both looking in Sage’s direction.
Sage wiped her hands off with kleenex and spoke softly. “Fine. They ought to know anyway.”
G
Jace asked, “Do you need any help?” “I’ll handle it. It’s just some familial matter,” Sage looked back at
him and added, “You take care of yourself and get on the turf club project. That’ll be the greatest help
to me.”
Sage put on her sunglasses and heels and said, “Let’s go watch two monkeys in a zoo.”
Back at the Norah Group offices, Braxton and Zane Norah were sitting at the end of the conference
table. One of them had their legs up playing with his fingers, and the other smacking on the table
angrily.
“Damn you, damn everyone in this office! Who gave the permission to transform the land I bought into
a freaking turf club? Did everyone forget I am still the president of this company? Huh?” said Braxton
Norah. He just reached Salem City at dawn this morning.
