“Why are you asking me?” asked Jace.

“Didn’t you say that this is your city?” exclaimed Kane.

Jace decided that the best way to know where they were going would be to call Laura.

However, Laura was not picking up, so Jace sent her a message. [Pick up, or else I’m going to tell your

family where you are] Laura immediately called back. “Old Dried Fish, don’t you dare sell me out!”

“Where are you going?” asked Jace. “Sage already told you. We are going to a place where only girls

go. Don’t follow us! If you guys have too much time on your hands, do something meaningful instead. If

you follow us, don’t blame us if things get ugly!” replied Laura. “What is a place where only girls go?

Where could that be? Are they going to watch male strippers?” asked Kane. ‘Strippers?’ Jace thought

to himself. On the other hand, Sage and Laura finally felt a wave of relief after losing the men tailing

them. Laura suddenly felt the urge to drive and exchanged seats with Sage. “What do you want to do

next? Do you want to go for a dip in the hot springs? Or do you want to go shoot something up?” asked

Sage.

“How about both?” asked Laura.

Sage laughed and started swiping on her phone. “I’ll see if there’s a place that offers both.” Even if

Sage had lived in this city for three years, she had never really gone outside. That’s why she was not

familiar with the kind of entertainment the city offered.

Just as Sage was about to call somebody for help, she received a message.

(Sage, I heard you just arrived in Nadeem. I miss you so much! Where are you? I’ll come over!]

Sage sent him a voice message. “Zach, I’m with my friend now. Do you know of a place here in

Nadeem city with hot springs and a shooting range?”

Laura looked over and asked, “Who is it?” “Zachary, Jace’s cousin,” replied Sage. “I see… Do you still

keep in contact with Jace’s family?” asked Laura. “Everybody in the Yuriel family except for Jace treats

me well,” answered Sage. Laura could not help but snicker. “Everybody is a good guy except for Jace?”

Sage also cracked a smile.

Zach sent Sage a location of a club with all kinds of different activities.

[Thanks, next time we go out, it’s on me!), Sage replied.

Jace, on the other end of the phone, could not help but smile. Jace keyed the location of the club into

the GPS and said, “We are closer to the club than they are. We’ll go over there and wait for them.”
