Sage did not know what to say when Jace admitted his mistake that honestly. She hated it
when people deceived her, but she was not so angry after learning the truth from Zachary. Jace was
afraid that she would ignore him, so he used Zachary‘s account to keep in contact with her. She only
brought it up because she suddenly thought about it. However, her anger cooled down as soon as he
apologized.
“Whatever.” Sage had a big heart and did not mind it. “If you lie to me again, I‘ll...”
“I won‘t, I swear.” Jace assured urgently.
His heart nervously pounded nervously for fear that she would no longer talk to him.
His desire to survive seemed skewed. This reminded Sage of the old days. When Mom was angry with
Dad, Dad would always be the first to admit his mistake and apologize.
Sometimes, even she could not stand to look at his pathetic state. Most of the time, it was simply
Mom‘s fault, but Dad took all the blame anyway. However, it was easy to coax her mother. The fight
would always end in a blink of an eye.
She did not understand their interaction when she was young, but she understood more clearly when
she grew up. How could there be any big conflict between a husband and a wife? Sometimes, what a
woman wanted was nothing more than her man‘s attitude.
It was finally her turn to experience her mom‘s joy.
Jace breathed a sigh of relief when he realized that Sage was no longer angry.
Yoel and Cole looked dumbfounded and shocked beyond description when he let out a breathe of
relief.
“Hey, when did you become so good at this?”
Yoel said, “You‘ve become better than me at coaxing a woman. Did you go for some kind of refresher
course?” Cole glanced at Yoel. “Are you good at coaxing women? Melody hasn‘t talked to you for days.
How long has it been?” “F*ck. I just can‘t deal with her right now, okay?” Yoel was very stubborn. Then,
he said, “Don‘t change the topic. I‘m talking about Jace.” Jace faintly said, “Isn‘t that the way it‘s
supposed to be?” Yoel was rendered speechless. He looked at Jace‘s new skill in disbelief and shook
his head incredulously. “I never thought I‘d see you acting like this one day! D*mn! I‘m beyond words!”
Cole nodded in agreement. “We should drink to this!. I can‘t believe he willingly confessed. What has
he been through for the past six months?”
When the plane landed, it was nightfall.
Sage sent a message to Jace. [I‘ve arrived.) Jace replied to her almost instantly. (Okay.] He replied so
quickie that Sage thought Jace‘s hand must be stuck to his phone. She curled her lips slightly and put
away her phone. Then, she saw Mister Wando walking toward them. “Mister Wayne, Mister Ross, Miss
Sage, please get in.” “Mister Wando?” Sage‘s eyes narrowed slightly. ‘Why are you here?” Mister
Wando was in charge of guarding Rosa Garden and rarely left unless Sage had an emergency that
required his immediate attention. “Mister and Missus Norah ordered me to come and get you.”
It had been a long time since she heard this from Mister Wando. She froze and tears immediately
welled in her eyes. The strong urge to cry made her nose feel sore.
“Let‘s go.” Ross saw Sage frozen in place, so he patted her back and led her to the car.
The Lincome took a shortcut and drove to Rosa Garden. This was her father‘s exclusive car. It was just
like a black horse he kept. It was parked in the garage and was left untouched for years.
When Sage sat inside, she felt like she had been brought back in time. It was as if she had gone back
to four years ago. Nothing had changed, and she was still sitting in her father‘s car on the way back
home. Her home was like a magical castle to her.
