No female celebrity that managed to climb to fame has a pure heart. It was impossible to survive
without having some tricks up one’s sleeve for self-protection. Suki knew and prepared herself for the
worst. However, she was extremely cautious as once news like that got out, her whole career would go
down the drain. “Pass me the videos, I’ll take care of it.” Sean responded calmly.
Suki was hesitant. “Mister Chester, once I give you the videos, there’ll be no turning back for me. Are
you certain you can terminate the contract?”
“As long as you’re honest with me, everything will go as planned.” Sean said confidently. Once the
video was sent to Sean, he got up and said to Sage before leaving. “There’s still some wine left in the
bottle, please seal it for me to go.” Sage ordered the staff to pack the wine as she said to Sean, “My
brother has a pretty low tolerance, please watch out for him.” “I can’t watch out for him.” Sean took a
drag of his cigarette and chuckled lightly before continuing, “The most I could do is to have him stay
home after drinking, and not perform any surgery drunkenly. I can’t afford for him to kill someone by
accident.” Sean held the bottle of wine along with some takeaways and left the restaurant. Suki and
Dean finally relaxed and looked relieved after his departure. Even though they had a rough start for the
case, Sean had already promised that it would all work out. All they had to do now was to wait for his
good news.
Suki and Dean’s assistant had picked them up from the restaurant. Sage did not leave the restaurant to
send them off. She did not want to risk being photographed again and cause more unnecessary
trouble.
Sage stayed behind the restaurant to do some accounting work with the manager. It was not long
before a young lad tried to sneak a peek at them. Sage looked at him and said with a smile, “They’re
gone. You can come out now.”
Jim walked towards her with a pot of tea, still in his chef uniform. He smiled brightly and said,
“Grandmaster, I just brewed a pot of fresh Earl Gray Tea, would you like to try some?”
“Sure.” Sage hummed in response as she carried on with her accounting work. Jim served the tea and
waited quietly aside as he observed the conversation between Sage and the manager.
“Making a profit is important, but so is the quality of all dishes. Make sure the ingredients we use are
always fresh and authentic. Hygiene as well, did you see how messy the kitchen was?”
Sage said calmly, her tone was serious and profound. The manager wiped the beads of sweat of her
forehead as she agreeingly hummed in response. Jim sat aside with his arms crossed, listening and
observing Sage silently. She dressed formally in a sky blue blouse and a pair of black slacks; simple
yet fashionable. Her hair was tied into a low ponytail, with a delicate rose shaped pin by the side of her
head. From afar, she emitted a cold yet luxurious aura.
It was very different from the gentle and elegant lady in the campus that day, as well as the serious and
cool grandmaster in a white gown earlier. She had different attires and behaviors when it came to
different settings, some people really are gifted when it comes to adapting to their surroundings.
“Alright, that’s all. Go on ahead then.” Replied Sage.
The manager nodded as she excused herself.
Sage had been talking so much and was about to quench her thirst with the tea when Jim realized and
responded quickly, “The tea is cold, let me serve you a new cup.” After being served a new cup, Sage
took a few sips and cleared her throat, picking her head up to look at Jim. “It’s late, what’re you still
doing here?” Jim pursed his lips lightly whilst staring into Sage’s eyes and said, “Master ordered me to
serve you, he said that it’s a once in a lifetime chance and that I should seize the chance to do SO.”
Jim was a pure and honest teen. Sage smiled lightly as she waved her hands, “Don’t just stand there
then, it’s tiring having to look up while talking to you. Sit.” “Alrighty.” Jim sat down obediently. Sage was
about to pour him a cup of tea when Jim got up immediately again. “Let me do it, Grandmaster.”
“Stop calling me Grandmaster, people would think I’m old. Just call me Miss.” Sage calmly told him.
