“Oh my god!” Leah could not believe her eyes as she looked at the living room full of gifts,

“Sage, look, there are so many presents for you! Who would’ve done this?”

Sage sighed a little. There was no one other than her generous eldest dad.

Zamora and the helpers counted the number of presents and said to Sage, “A few trucks parked at our

front porch this morning, and said it was all from Mr. Shelby. At first, I wasn’t going to allow them to

enter the house, but Mr. K said there was nothing dangerous in it, and cross-checked Mr. Shelby’s

handwritten note.

I didn’t realize there were so many of them… There’s more out on the porch and it could no longer fit in

the living room. I’ve asked the staff to move it to the storage for now.” Zamora said as she passed the

handwritten note to Sage.

She opened the beautiful envelope and there it was, a handwritten note written in mostly Chinese, and

“Happy Birthday” written in crooked English like it was by an elementary school kid. It was adorable.

He must have learned it from her eldest brother.

.

Sage kept smiling uncontrollably as she read the letter written by her eldest dad. Her helpers did not

see her so happy in a long time, and they were happy for her too. Zamora led the entire staff and

bowed to Sage simultaneously, “Happy Birthday, Miss Sage!” “Thank you all,” Sage smiled as she said,

“that’s so sweet. I’m going to have to give out more cash to you.” The staff was overjoyed. Sage was

just like her mother Primrose, always so generous and kind to her employees.

“Hey sis, can I help open your presents?” Leah’s childlike behavior was showing.

“Let’s eat first, and then we can open them together,” Sage said.

Leah could not wait any longer, as she was as curious as a cat. Leah had to open her parcels up

whenever they arrived at the doorstep, how could Sage wait any longer with all these presents

unopened… Sage looked at her helplessly and said, “Okay, you may go.”, “Oh yay!” Leah was

overjoyed. She dragged Zamora along with her and unwrapped the presents like a little hamster.

Sage looked at her and felt funny. She took a glance at the helpers and waved at them, “You guys can

go help unwrapping the presents too.” Everyone in the household joined the team of opening presents.

The gifts looked expensive and valuable, they had to open them carefully. As they opened each gift, it

shined so brightly that they could not open their eyes. It was astonishing. They could not help but

wonder who Mr. Shelby was. Is he a duke from Monte Cristo? Was it where all these gold and

valuables were from? “Alright, come to have your breakfast now. Don’t you have to go to work today?”

Sage called Leah over. It was impossible to open all the so gifts in a day. Leah half squatted in front of

her sister just like a child, and she smiled brightly, “Master gave me the day off so I could celebrate with

you.”

“Ada the workaholic gave you a day off?” Sage wiped off the sweat on Leah’s forehead and asked

curiously.

“That’s because I’m adorable.” Leah laughed.

Sage laughed at her and pointed at her nose, “Yeah, you’re the most adorable.”

Hunter saw them as he walked through the door. He panicked and said, “Miss Sage, please don’t

pamper Leah too much. I’m losing my chance!”

Sage glared at Hunter and said, “That’s your problem. How could I give Leah’s hand to you if you’re not

half as pampering as me?”
