Wilson was pissed. However, he could not risk offending them, so he sucked it up and smiled politely
as he led the way. “This way please.”
Wilson wondered what Sage’s relationship was with Jace and Yoel.
They seemed to care so much about her.
The seating arrangement was very particular; it was obvious that there was a hierarchy.
People with a higher title sat in front while those who were not as important sat behind and by the
entrances. Even the food and beverage served differ from each other; it was an unpleasant sight.
Jace and Yoel sat at the front, of course; Sage and Leah, however, were seated by the door.
Sage was alright with it since the reason she came was to witness a drama unfold. Being seated at the
back meant she got to see more of it. She sat down satisfyingly along with Leah.
Jace and Yoel were displeased.
The reason they came to the wedding was just so they could spend more time with Sage and nothing
else.
However, now that they were so far apart, how were they supposed to spend some quality time
together?
Guests who were seated in the same area were people who were not familiar with Sage and Leah.
Their beautiful faces had attracted some attention, and they were even mistaken for some famous
internet influencers. Some shameless men even went ahead and asked for their
contact numbers.
“Beautiful, can I have your number? Can I also have your Finstagram and Tweetch account?”
Before Sage could reject the request, Jace and Yoel shoved the man away as they both spat,” No,”
That man was speechless.
Yoel turned around and ordered, “Get me another chair for this table.”
“Two,” Jace added.
Their interactions were starting to gain some traction. Sage was annoyed. “Can the two of you please
leave me alone?”
Jace and Yoel said under the same breath, “No.”
Wilson’s face darkened upon seeing Jace and Yoel leaving their seats to sit with Sage. He ran
toward them nervously and attempted to usher them back to their seats.
“No. We’re alright here.”
Yoel responded with a breadstick in his mouth and his legs crossed as he continued calmly,” I’ve been
to plenty of banquets in my life, and this is the first time I’ve ever sat at the back. It’s pretty comfortable,
don’t you agree?”
“Yeah,” Jace hummed in agreement.
Wilson continued to beg shamelessly.
The rest of the guests were left wondering what sort of important guests those people were, seeing as
Wilson Jefferson himself had to bow his head at them.
What an ignorant move, arranging the seats according to hierarchy.
The emcee announced that the ceremony was about to start, followed by the music and the couple
themselves.
Julian wore a set of white wedding suits whilst Yeva in a white wedding gown. The both of them smiled
happily, like a couple made in heaven.
Sage’s attention was not on the newlywed. She looked around for Wayne Norah but to no avail.
Just when Sage was about to stop searching, she spotted a gray figure leaning on a wall backstage
with a smoking pipe in his hand. That figure stayed and listened for a short while before getting up and
leaving the scene.
Sage stood up immediately and chased over the gray figure. Jace and Yoel looked toward her at the
same time as they wondered what was going on
